WINDOWS PRODUCTS
For more information about Windows and to access help topics, select the Start button , select All apps, then select Tips or Get help (requires a network connection).
To access user guides, select the Search icon, type HP Documentation, then select HP Documentation.
LINUX PRODUCTS
To access user guides, double-click the HP Documents icon on the desktop.
FreeDOS PRODUCTS
To access user guides, select HP Documents from the Boot Menu.

Finding System Information
System information is provided on the service tag or is located in one of the following locations: on the bottom of the computer, on the back of the display, inside the battery bay, or under the service door. The tag can be a paper label or a printed label on the product. On some Windows products, you can press the fn+esc key combination briefly to display the System Information screen.

Software License Terms
By installing, copying, downloading, or otherwise using any software product preinstalled on this computer, you agree to be bound by the terms of the HP End-User License Agreement (EULA). If you do not accept these license terms, your sole remedy is to return the entire unused product (hardware and software) within 14 days for a full refund according to the seller's refund policy. For any further information or to request a full refund of the computer price, contact your seller.
HP Services Scan
HP Services Scan is provided with Windows Update on select products and will check the entitlement on each hardware device to determine if an HP TechPulse-enabled service has been purchased, and then automatically download applicable software. HP TechPulse is a telemetry and analytics platform that provides critical data about devices and applications. For full system requirements or to disable this feature, visit http://www.hpdaas.com/requirements. Not applicable for China.
Limited Warranty
In some countries/regions, HP may also provide a printed copy of the warranty in the box. In countries or regions where the warranty is not provided in printed form, you can request a copy at http://www.hp.com/go/orderdocuments. For products purchased in Asia Pacific, you can write to HP at POD, PO Box 161, Kitchener Road Post Office, Singapore 912006. Include the product name, your name, phone number, and mailing address.
Initial Setup
Before you press the power button to turn on the computer for the first time, connect the computer to the HP AC adapter supplied with the computer (select products only), or an adapter rated from 65 W to 100 W, depending on the product.
Select the Network icon ? in the lower-right corner of the taskbar, and then connect to one of the available networks.
To set up a WLAN connection and connect to the Internet, you will need a broadband modem (DSL or cable, purchased separately), Internet service from an Internet service provider, and a wireless router (purchased separately).

Windows Home Screen Navigation
Depending on the product, you can use the keyboard and mouse, Touchpad, or touchscreen to navigate the Windows Home screen.
DISPLAYING THE START MENU
Select the [Start Menu] button.
FINDING SETTINGS
Select the [Start Menu] button, then select the [Settings Icon].
SHUTTING DOWN THE COMPUTER
Select the [Start Menu] button, select the [Power Icon], then select Shut down.
SEARCH
Select the [Search Icon] on the taskbar, then type an app name, setting, file, or Internet topic in the search box.
SWITCHING BETWEEN OPEN APPLICATIONS
Select the [Task View Icon].
The features and appearance of your Windows screen may vary depending on the version of the operating system and other software installed on your computer.
Gestures
Some computers support a touchscreen, but some computers, applications, and files may not support all touch gestures.

Tap or double-tap to select.
Pinch to zoom.

Swipe to scroll.

Multifinger gestures
