MUSE M-785 BT Portable Bluetooth Speaker
Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the MUSE M-785 BT splash-proof portable Bluetooth speaker. Please read these instructions carefully before operating the unit.
Location and Description of Controls
The MUSE M-785 BT features several controls and indicators:
- 1. Shoulder strap holders
- 2. USB-C port for charging the built-in battery
- 3. Charging indicator
- 4. USB port for MP3 playback
- 5. /: Volume adjustment; Track selection
- 6. [Play/Pause Button]: Play/Pause; Color light On/Off; Receive/Transfer/End call
- 7. [Mode/Stereo Pairing Button]: Select function mode (Bluetooth or USB); Stereo pairing
- 8. [Power Button]: Power ON/OFF; Disconnect paired Bluetooth device

Power Supply
The unit is powered by a built-in, rechargeable lithium-ion battery. For first-time use, charge the battery for at least 6 hours.
To charge:
- Connect the smaller end of the supplied USB cable to the unit's USB-C port (2).
- Connect the other end to a powered USB jack on your computer or a charger (not included).
The charging indicator (3) will be red during charging and will turn off when fully charged.
Notes:
- The unit operates from limited power sources.
- It features a thermal protection system: if the operating temperature exceeds 45°C, charging will stop automatically. Allow the unit to cool down before resuming.
- To save energy, the unit will automatically turn off after 10 minutes of inactivity if playback has ended or volume is very low.
Warnings:
- Use the battery within an ambient temperature of 5°C to 35°C (41°F to 95°F).
- The battery may pose a fire or chemical burn risk if mistreated. Do not disassemble, heat above 100°C (212°F), or incinerate.
- For longest battery life, charge at indoor temperatures.
- Dispose of batteries responsibly, following environmental guidelines.
- Do not throw batteries into fire.
- Do not expose batteries to excessive heat (sunshine, fire, etc.).
- A warning tone indicates a low battery. The unit will shut off automatically when the battery is too low.
- Turn off the unit before charging.
- To maintain battery performance, charge fully at least every 3 months if not used for extended periods.
CAUTION: Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.
Turning Unit On/Off
Press and hold the [Power Button] (8) to turn the unit on or off.

Pairing a Bluetooth Device
- Press and hold the [Power Button] (8) to turn on the unit. The Bluetooth indicator (11) will blink blue rapidly, indicating pairing mode.
- On your Bluetooth device, enable Bluetooth and select "MUSE M-785 BT" from the device list. (Refer to your device's manual for specific instructions).
- If prompted for a passcode, use "0000". Some devices may require you to accept the connection.
- If paired successfully, the Bluetooth indicator (11) will remain on. If pairing fails or is not completed within 10 minutes, the unit will turn off automatically.
Tip: To connect to a different Bluetooth device, press the [Power Button] (8) to disconnect the current device; the Bluetooth indicator will blink. Then, follow the pairing steps again.
- On some devices (e.g., computers), after pairing, you may need to select the unit from the Bluetooth menu and choose "Use as Audio Device (stereo)" or a similar option.
- Pairing remains active even if the unit or your Bluetooth device is out of range. A connection will be re-established when they are back in range.
- When turned on again, the unit will automatically try to reconnect with the last paired Bluetooth device.

Using a Bluetooth Device
- With a unit paired (see previous section), operate your Bluetooth device. Sound will play through the M-785 BT speakers.
- Press the [Play/Pause Button] (6) to pause playback. Press again to resume.
- Press the / buttons (5) to adjust the volume. You can also adjust volume on your paired device.
- Press and hold the / buttons (5) to select the desired track. You can also change tracks on your paired device.
Receiving / Ending a Phone Call
The unit has a built-in microphone for making or ending calls from a connected mobile phone.
Ensure your Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone is paired with the unit. You will hear an incoming call alert tone.
- Press the [Play/Pause Button] (6) to answer an incoming call.
- Press the [Play/Pause Button] (6) again to end the call.
- To reject an incoming call, press and hold the [Play/Pause Button] (6).
- To transfer audio between the mobile phone and the unit during a call, press and hold the [Play/Pause Button] (6).
Notes:
- This unit may not operate properly with some Bluetooth mobile phones/audio players.
- If conversation clarity is poor, move closer to the microphone (located on top of the unit).
Stereo Pairing
This function allows for stereo surround sound quality. It requires two M-785 BT speakers for wireless separation of Bluetooth radio channels.
Tips: The recommended distance between the main and secondary speaker is within 4 meters.
Steps for Stereo Pairing:
- Turn on both M-785 BT Bluetooth speakers. Press the [Mode/Stereo Pairing Button] (7) repeatedly to select Bluetooth mode for both.
- When both speakers are in pairing mode, press and hold the [Mode/Stereo Pairing Button] (7) on one speaker. This speaker will become the main speaker (left channel) and will search for and connect to the secondary speaker (right channel). The left and right channels will be recognized automatically.
- Connect your main speaker to a Bluetooth-enabled device (e.g., smartphone).
- Play your music and enjoy stereo sound.
- Press the [Play/Pause Button] (6) on either speaker to pause playback. Press again to resume.
- Press and hold the [Play/Pause Button] (6) on either speaker to disconnect stereo pairing.
USB Playback
- Connect a USB device to the USB port (4) on the unit. The unit will switch to USB mode and start playback automatically. If a USB device was previously inserted, press the [Mode/Stereo Pairing Button] (7) to switch to USB mode.
- Press the / buttons (5) to adjust the volume.
- Press and hold the / buttons (5) to select the desired track.
- Press the [Play/Pause Button] (6) to pause playback. Press again to resume.
Notes:
- The total number of MP3 files on the USB device should not exceed 999.
- The USB device may not contain more than 99 directories.
- Reading time may vary depending on the number of MP3 files and folders.
- Do not insert anything other than a USB device into the port; other objects may damage the unit.
- Do not connect the USB port directly to a computer, as this may damage the unit.
- Compatibility with all USB devices cannot be guaranteed. Try another USB device if yours is not supported.
Color Light
Once the unit is turned on, the color light will activate automatically. When the unit is on, press and hold the [Play/Pause Button] (6) to turn the color light on or off.
Reset
Press the RESET button (9) with a pin or stick to reset the unit to its initial settings.
Troubleshooting Guide
If the unit exhibits a problem, check the following before seeking service:
No Power
- Ensure the unit is turned on by pressing and holding the [Power Button] (8).
- Make sure the battery is recharged.
No Sound – General
- The volume of the external device is set to minimum; raise the volume.
Bluetooth Device Cannot Pair or Connect
- Ensure Bluetooth is activated on your device. Refer to your device's manual.
- The unit may already be connected to another Bluetooth device; disconnect that device and try again.
