Power Supply
This set operates on AC 230V 50Hz or 6 x 1.5V R14/ UM-2/ “C” size batteries (not provided).
AC Operation
Connect the detachable AC cord (included) to the AC socket on the rear of the unit. Insert the AC power cord into a convenient standard AC wall outlet.
DC Operation
Install the batteries in their compartment. Use only the size and type of batteries specified. Respect the polarity indicated in the compartment. Improper polarity can cause damage to the device.
- Do not attempt to recharge the batteries; they can catch fire or explode.
- Batteries need to be replaced when the volume decreases or sound is distorted.
- To avoid leakage, remove batteries if the unit will not be used for a long period.
- When battery power is low, the "?" indicator will blink on the display.
Caution: Danger of explosion if batteries are incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.
Note: The AC cord must be unplugged from both the unit and the power outlet for the unit to run on batteries. When connected to mains, power source automatically switches to AC. For energy saving, the unit will automatically turn off after 15 minutes of inactivity.
Operating the Unit
Turning Unit On/Off
Press and hold the SOURCE button to turn the unit on. Press and hold the SOURCE button again to turn it off.
Selecting Source/Mode
When the unit is ON, press the SOURCE button repeatedly to select between Aux, FM, CD, USB, or Bluetooth mode.
Listening to the Radio (FM)
When the unit is ON, press the SOURCE button repeatedly to select FM mode. The "?" indicator will appear on the display.
Manual Search
- Tune to your desired station using the TUNING knob.
- Adjust the volume to your desired level.
Automatic Search
Quickly rotate the TUNING knob to locate strong stations. For weaker signals, rotate the TUNING knob slowly. Note: Sound is muted during search.
To improve reception, extend the telescopic antenna and adjust its position.
Preset Stations
This unit can store up to 20 FM stations.
- Tune to a desired station using the TUNING knob.
- Press the " " button once. "P01" will blink on the display.
- Press P+ repeatedly or rotate the TUNING knob to select a preset number (1-20).
- Press the " " button again to store the station.
- Repeat steps 1-4 for other stations.
Quick Presets: Use the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 buttons to store and recall stations quickly.
Auto Preset
Press and hold the " " button to start automatic programming. The unit will scan frequencies and store available stations. It stops when all stations are stored or memory is full.
Listening to Preset Stations
Press P+ repeatedly to cycle through preset stations. Alternatively, press the quick preset buttons (1-5) to recall stored stations.
Listening to a CD
- When the unit is ON, press SOURCE repeatedly to select CD mode. The "?" indicator will appear.
- Open the CD door.
- Insert a CD with the label facing up, then close the door.
- After a few seconds, the total number of tracks will display, and playback will start automatically.
Notes: If the disc is MP3, "MP3" will be displayed. If the disc is dirty, damaged, or inserted incorrectly, "No Cd" will appear. Clean or try another disc.
Playback Controls
- Play/Pause (▶️/⏸️): Press to pause, press again to resume.
- Stop (⏹️): Press to stop playback.
- Skip/Search (⏭️ / ⏪): Press to skip tracks. Press and hold to fast scan within a track.
- Repeat/Random (?): Press to cycle through Track Repeat, Repeat All, Random Play, Repeat Folder (MP3/USB only). Press again to cancel.
- Program (PROG.): Allows programming a sequence of up to 20 tracks (CD) or 99 tracks (MP3). Press PROG. to enter programming mode, use / to select tracks, and PROG. to confirm. Press to start programmed playback. Press twice to cancel.
Select a Folder (MP3 Only)
Use the FOLDER / buttons to navigate between folders on MP3 discs or USB devices.
Troubleshooting CD Playback
- Turn off the unit, unplug it, and plug it back in.
- Clean the CD.
USB Playback
- Connect a USB device to the USB port.
- When the unit is ON, press SOURCE repeatedly to select USB mode. The "?" indicator will appear.
- Playback starts automatically after a few seconds, showing the total number of folders and tracks.
Notes: Max 999 MP3 files, max 99 directories. Reading time varies. Do not insert anything other than USB devices. Do not connect USB port directly to a computer.

Pairing a Bluetooth Device
- When the unit is ON, press SOURCE repeatedly to select Bluetooth mode. The "?" indicator will blink slowly.
- On your Bluetooth device, enable Bluetooth and select "MUSE M-35 BT". Use "0000" if a passcode is required. You will hear an indication sound upon successful pairing. The "?" indicator will stop blinking.
Tip: To connect to a different device, press and hold the " " button to disconnect the current device, then repeat pairing.
- For computers, select the unit as an "Audio Device (stereo)".
- Pairing remains active even if devices go out of range; connection will re-establish when back in range.
- The unit will attempt to reconnect to the last paired device upon power-on.

Using a Bluetooth Device
- Operate your Bluetooth device; sound will play through the M-35 BT.
- Press " " to pause, press again to resume.
- Select tracks using / .
- Adjust volume with the VOLUME knob or on your paired device.
Note: The Bluetooth indicator stops blinking during playback.
Connecting Auxiliary Source
- Connect your auxiliary source (e.g., MP3 player) to the AUX IN jack (cable not included).
- When the unit is ON, press SOURCE repeatedly to select AUX mode. The "➕" indicator will appear.
- Start playback from your auxiliary source.
- Adjust volume.
- To stop, disconnect the auxiliary source.
Using Headphones / Earphones
Maximum output voltage: ≤ 150 mV
Headphone Volume Warning
Connect headphones with the volume low, then increase as needed. Prolonged listening at high volumes can cause hearing damage. When headphones are connected, the unit's speakers are deactivated.
Caution: Avoid listening at levels harmful to your ears.
Sleep Function
Press the SLEEP button repeatedly to select sleep timer duration (15, 30, 60, 90, 120 minutes). The "?" indicator lights up. The unit will turn off automatically. To cancel, press SLEEP until "OFF" is displayed and the indicator turns off.
Maintenance
Cleaning
Warning: Disconnect from power before cleaning.
- Use a soft, dry, clean cloth. Dust vents regularly.
- Avoid solvents or abrasive/alcohol-based cleaners.
- If an object or liquid enters the unit, unplug immediately and have it checked by an authorized technician.
Notes on Discs
- Do not use irregularly shaped CDs.
- Do not place more than one disc in the compartment.
- Do not open the CD compartment during playback.
- Do not touch the lens.
- Clean discs if scratched, dirty, or smudged. Wipe from center outwards.
- Store discs away from high temperatures and humidity to prevent warping.
- Replace discs in their cases after playing.
Important Note: Remove the disc before transporting the unit.
