Introduction

This manual provides instructions for operating the MUSE M-1680 SBT TV Soundbar. Please read the instructions carefully before operating the unit.

Unit Features

Remote Control

The remote control operates on 1pc "CR2025" lithium battery (not included).

Installing Battery

  1. Push the button toward right.
  2. Pull the battery loader out.
  3. Insert one "CR2025" size battery with the positive side (+) facing up.
  4. Replace the cover.

Notes:

Caution: Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.

Warning: Do not ingest the battery, Chemical Burn Hazard. Keep new and used batteries away from children. If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product and keep it away from children. If you think batteries might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek immediate medical attention.

Before throwing any batteries away, consult your distributor who may be able to take them back for specific recycling.

Wall Mounting

Instructions

  1. Drill 2 holes (diameter 6mm) with a spacing of 320mm on the wall.
  2. Insert the wall plug (not supplied) into the hole until it is flush with the wall surface.
  3. Insert the screw (not supplied) into the wall plug and tighten the screw approx. 4mm away from the wall.
  4. Hang the unit to the screws as indicated below. Make sure it’s firm and stable.

Power Supply

The supplied AC adaptor is suitable for use on AC mains supplies of 100-240V 50/60Hz and should only be connected to a mains supply within these parameters.

Operation

Turning Unit On/Off

Press the [Power] button to turn on the unit. Press again on the remote control or long press the [Power] button on the unit to turn it off.

Selecting Function

The function mode is selected by pressing the unit's [Power] button repeatedly, or by pressing the BT, OPT, COAX, ARC, AUX or USB button on the remote control respectively.

Pairing a Bluetooth Device

  1. When the unit is ON, press the [Power] button on the unit repeatedly until the function LED indicator becomes blue, or press the BT button on the remote control to select Bluetooth mode directly. The function LED indicator will blink fast indicating it's in pairing mode.
  2. On the Bluetooth device, enable Bluetooth and select "MUSE M-1680 SBT" from the Device List. (Refer to the user manual of the device to be connected for detailed operations.) If the Bluetooth device prompts for a pass code, use "0000". Some Bluetooth devices will ask you to accept the connection. You will hear an indication sound when pairing is successful. The function LED indicator will blink slowly.

Tip: If you want to connect your Bluetooth speaker to another Bluetooth audio device, press and hold the BT button to disconnect the current device, and then follow the steps above to make a new connection.

Using a Bluetooth Device

  1. With a unit paired (see previous section), operate your Bluetooth device and its sound will be heard through the M-1680 SBT's speakers.
  2. Press the [Play/Pause] button on the remote control to pause playback. Press again to resume playback.
  3. Short press [Previous Track]/[Next Track] on unit or [Previous Track]/[Next Track] on remote control to select desired track.
  4. Adjust the volume using the Volume buttons. You can also adjust the volume on the device to which you are paired.

Note: The function LED indicator will stay lit during playback.

Connecting External Devices

To OPTICAL IN jack

Connect your audio source to the OPTICAL jack on unit with a digital optical audio cable (cable not included).

  1. Press the [Power] button on unit repeatedly or press the OPT button on remote control to select optical mode. The function LED indicator will become white.
  2. Start playback from your audio source.
  3. Adjust the volume to desired level.
  4. To stop playback, disconnect your audio source from this unit.

Note: OPTICAL IN is for PCM format only.

To Coaxial jack

Use the coaxial cable (not included) to connect the soundbar to the coaxial input jack on your TV or amplifier. Press the [Power] button on unit repeatedly until the function LED indicator becomes green, or press the COAX button on remote control to select coaxial mode directly.

To HDMI ARC in jack

The high definition sound can be transferred from the TV to the sound bar. Use the HDMI cable (not included) to connect the sound bar to the external TV which has HDMI output jack. Press the [Power] button on unit repeatedly until the function LED indicator becomes cyan, or press the ARC button on remote control to select ARC mode directly.

Note: HDMI ARC function needs HDMI ARC jack on your TV. If your TV does not have HDMI ARC jack, you can connect your sound bar with optical jack or Aux in jack.

To AUX IN jack

  1. Connect your auxiliary source (e.g. mp3 player) to the AUX jack on the unit (cable not included).
  2. Press the [Power] button on unit repeatedly until the function LED indicator becomes yellow, or press the AUX button on remote control to select AUX mode directly.
  3. Start playback from your auxiliary source.
  4. Adjust the volume to desired level.
  5. To stop playback, disconnect your auxiliary source from the AUX jack.

Note: Remove the auxiliary cable from AUX jack when finish listening. Don't forget to switch off the power on your external device as well.

USB Playback

  1. Connect an USB device to the USB port on unit. It will switch to USB mode and start playback automatically. The function LED indicator will become purple.
  2. Short press [Previous Track]/[Next Track] on unit or [Previous Track]/[Next Track] on remote control to select desired track.

Safety Instructions

Caution: To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not remove the cover (or back). There are no user serviceable parts inside the unit. Refer all servicing to qualified personnel.

The lightening flash with arrowhead symbol within the triangle alerts the user of "dangerous voltage" inside the unit.

The exclamation point within the triangle alerts the user of important instructions accompanying the product.

Warning: TO PREVENT FIRE OR SHOCK HAZARD, DO NOT EXPOSE THIS APPLIANCE TO RAIN OR MOISTURE.

The Caution mark is located at the back of the device.

If at any time in the future you should need to dispose of this product please note that Waste electrical products should not be disposed of with household waste.
