CASIO Module 895 User Manual
Important Information
Battery
The battery in your watch is factory-installed and should be replaced immediately when the first signs of insufficient power appear (e.g., backlight not turning on, dim display) by your nearest CASIO dealer or distributor. The battery installed at the factory is for test purposes, and its service life may be shorter than specified in the watch's technical specifications.
Water Resistance
Watches are classified by rating (from I to V) according to their water resistance. Check your watch's rating using the table below for proper operation.
Rating | Marking on Case | Splashes, Rain, etc. | Swimming, Car Washing, etc. | Underwater Diving, Snorkeling, etc. | Scuba Diving |
---|---|---|---|---|---|

Notes for Corresponding Sections
- I: Not protected from water. Avoid any moisture.
- III: Do not press watch buttons underwater.
- IV: If exposed to salt water, rinse thoroughly and dry.
- V: Watches can be used for scuba diving (except for depths requiring helium-oxygen mixtures). Some water-resistant watches have leather straps. Do not wear these watches while swimming or engaging in other activities where the strap may be submerged.
Care of Your Watch
- Never attempt to open the case or remove the back cover.
- Replacement of the rubber gasket that protects the watch from water and dust should be done every 2-3 years.
- If water enters the watch, have it checked immediately by your nearest CASIO dealer or distributor.
- Do not expose the watch to extreme temperatures.
- Although the watch is designed for normal use, avoid rough handling and do not drop it.
- Do not fasten the strap too tightly. There should be space for a finger between your wrist and the strap.
- To clean the watch and strap, use a dry soft cloth or a soft cloth dampened with a mild neutral detergent solution. Never use volatile substances (such as gasoline, solvents, spray cleaners, etc.).
- When not in use, store your watch in a dry place.
- Avoid contact with gasoline, cleaning solvents, spray aerosols, adhesives, paint, etc. Chemical reactions caused by these materials can damage gaskets, the case, and the watch's polish.
- Some watch models feature silk-screened designs on their straps. Be careful when cleaning such straps to avoid damaging the designs.
For Watches with Plastic Straps
- You may notice a white powdery substance on the strap. This substance is harmless to your skin or clothing and can be easily removed by wiping with a cloth.
- Exposure of the plastic strap to sweat or moisture, or storage in high humidity conditions, can lead to damage, tearing, or cracking of the strap. To ensure a long service life for the plastic strap, wipe it clean of dirt and water with a soft cloth whenever possible.
For Watches with Fluorescent Cases and Straps
- Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the fluorescent color to gradually fade.
- Prolonged contact with moisture can cause the fluorescent color to gradually fade. If any moisture gets on the watch surface, wipe it off as soon as possible.
- Prolonged contact with any other wet surface can lead to discoloration of the fluorescent color. Ensure the fluorescent surface is free of moisture and avoid contact with other surfaces.
- Strong friction of a surface with applied fluorescent paint against another surface can transfer the fluorescent paint to that surface.
