Important Information
Battery
The power battery is installed at the factory and should be replaced immediately when the first signs of insufficient power appear (e.g., backlight not turning on, dim display) by your nearest CASIO dealer or distributor. The battery is installed at the factory for testing purposes, and its service life may be shorter than indicated in the watch's technical specifications.
Water Resistance
Watches are classified by water resistance rating (from I to V) according to their water protection level. Please refer to the table below to ensure proper use of your watch.
Rating | Case Marking | Splash, Rain, etc. | Swimming, Car Washing, etc. | Diving, Snorkeling, etc. | Scuba Diving |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
I | - | No | No | No | No |
II | WATER RESISTANT | Yes | No | No | No |
III | 50M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | No | No |
IV | 100M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | No |
V | 200M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
300M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Notes for respective ratings:
- I: The watch is not water resistant. Avoid exposure to any moisture.
- III: Do not press the watch buttons underwater.
- IV: If the watch is exposed to salt water, rinse it thoroughly with fresh water and dry it.
- V: The watch can be used for scuba diving (except for depths requiring helium-oxygen mixtures). Some water-resistant watches feature leather straps. Do not wear these watches while swimming or engaging in any other activity where the strap may be submerged in water.
Care for Your Watch
- Never attempt to open the case or remove the back cover yourself.
- The rubber gasket that protects the watch from water and dust should be replaced every 2-3 years.
- If moisture gets inside the watch, have it checked immediately by your nearest CASIO dealer or distributor.
- Do not expose the watch to extreme temperatures.
- Although the watch is designed for normal use, avoid rough handling and dropping it.
- Do not fasten the strap too tightly. A finger should fit between your wrist and the strap.
- To clean the watch and strap, use a dry soft cloth, or a soft cloth dampened with a mild neutral detergent solution. Never use volatile substances (such as gasoline, solvents, spray cleaners, etc.).
- When not in use, store your watch in a dry place.
- Avoid exposure to gasoline, cleaning solvents, spray aerosols, adhesives, paint, etc. Chemical reactions caused by these materials can damage gaskets, the case, and the watch's polish.
- Some watch models feature silk-screen printed designs on their straps. Be careful when cleaning such straps to avoid damaging the designs.
For watches with plastic straps:
- You may notice a whitish powdery substance on the strap. This substance is harmless to your skin or clothing and can be easily removed by wiping with a cloth.
- Exposure of the plastic strap to sweat or moisture, or storage in high humidity conditions, may lead to damage, tearing, or cracking of the strap. To ensure a long service life for the plastic strap, wipe it with a soft cloth to remove dirt and water whenever possible.
For watches with fluorescent cases and straps:
- Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may cause the fluorescent color to gradually fade.
- Prolonged contact with moisture may cause the fluorescent color to gradually fade. If any moisture gets on the watch surface, wipe it off as soon as possible.
- Prolonged contact with any other wet surface may cause the fluorescent color to fade. Ensure the fluorescent surface is free of moisture and avoid contact with other surfaces.
- Heavy rubbing of a surface with applied fluorescent paint against another surface may transfer the fluorescent paint to that surface.
CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. is not responsible for any damage that may occur from the use of this watch and does not accept any claims from third parties.
