Some water-resistant watches have leather straps. Do not wear these watches for swimming or other water-related activities where the strap may get wet.

- Replace the gasket (which prevents water and dust ingress) every 2-3 years.
- If water enters the watch, have it checked immediately by a CASIO dealer.
- Avoid extreme temperatures (high or low).
- While designed for normal use, avoid rough handling and dropping the watch.
- Do not fasten the strap too tightly. A finger should fit between your wrist and the strap.
- Clean the watch and strap with a dry soft cloth, or a soft cloth dampened with a mild neutral detergent solution. Never use volatile solvents (e.g., gasoline, thinners, aerosol cleaners).
- Store the watch in a dry place when not in use.
- Avoid contact with gasoline, cleaning solvents, aerosol sprays, adhesives, paint, etc. These can damage gaskets, cases, and finishes.
- Some models have silk-screened designs on the strap. Clean carefully to avoid damaging these designs.
For watches with polymer straps:
- A white powdery substance may appear on the strap. This is harmless and can be wiped off with a soft cloth.
- Sweat or moisture, or storage in high humidity, can damage, tear, or crack the polymer strap. To ensure longevity, wipe the strap clean of dirt and moisture frequently with a soft cloth.

- Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may cause the fluorescent color to fade gradually.
- Prolonged contact with moisture may cause the fluorescent color to fade. Wipe off any moisture from the watch surface as soon as possible.
- Prolonged contact with a wet surface may cause discoloration of the fluorescent color. Ensure the fluorescent surface is free of moisture and avoid contact with other surfaces.
- Rubbing a surface with fluorescent paint against another surface may transfer the paint.

ОБЩЕЕ ОПИСАНИЕ РЕЖИМОВ РАБОТЫ (General Description of Operating Modes)
The illustration shows the watch in Timekeeping Mode.
Pressing button "C" sequentially cycles through the modes: Timekeeping Mode → World Time Mode → Stopwatch Mode → Countdown Timer Mode → Alarm Mode → Timekeeping Mode.
Press button "A" to switch between Month/Day and Day of the Week displays.

These watches automatically adjust the time based on calibration signals. You can also set the time manually.

The watch receives calibration signals to update the time. Signal transmission centers are located in:
- Germany (DCF77), approx. 500km radius.
- Rugby, England (MSF), approx. 500km radius.
- Japan (JJY), approx. 500km radius.
- Fort Collins, USA (WWVB), approx. 1000km radius.
Signal reception can be affected by environmental conditions (weather, atmospheric pressure, temperature) and nearby electronic devices (TVs, computers), tunnels, airports, train stations, and radio stations.
There are two types of calibration reception:
- Auto Calibration: The watch automatically receives the signal six times daily (during the night or early morning) in Timekeeping Mode.
- Manual Calibration: You manually initiate signal reception by pressing and holding button "D" for two seconds in Timekeeping Mode. An "RC!" indicator will appear. The reception process takes several minutes. Do not move the watch during reception. Press "D" again to stop reception and return to Timekeeping Mode. If reception fails, "ERR" will be displayed.

This mode allows you to view the time in 48 cities (29 time zones) worldwide. World Time is synchronized with the current time.

РЕЖИМ СЕКУНДОМЕРА (Stopwatch Mode)
The Stopwatch Mode allows recording of split times, intermediate times, and dual finishes. The measurement range is up to 999 hours, 59 minutes, 59.99 seconds.

Функция автостарта (Auto Start Function)
When using the Auto Start function, a 5-second countdown precedes the start, after which the stopwatch begins measuring time automatically.
- With the stopwatch at zero, press button "A". A 5-second countdown will appear on the display.
- Press button "A" again to return to zero.
- Press button "D" to start the countdown. Pressing "D" during the countdown automatically starts time measurement.

The countdown timer can be set from 1 to 60 minutes. A long beep sounds when the countdown reaches zero, which can be stopped by pressing any button.

You can set various daily alarms. When the set time is reached, the alarm sounds for 10 seconds.
- If the hourly chime is enabled, a short beep sounds at the start of each hour.
- If the snooze function is enabled, the alarm will repeat every 5 minutes after the initial alarm.

- In Alarm Mode, press button "D" to select the alarm type (e.g., -1 for regular alarm, -2 to -5 for other alarms, :00 for hourly chime).
- After selecting the alarm type, press and hold button "A". The hour digits will flash, indicating setting mode. The alarm will automatically turn ON.
- Press button "C" to cycle through setting Hours, Minutes, and Hours again.
- Use button "D" to increase and button "B" to decrease the selected value. Holding a button speeds up the change.
- The 12/24-hour format matches your current time setting. Be mindful of AM/PM in 12-hour format.
- Press button "A" to confirm settings and return to Alarm Mode.

- When an alarm is selected, its number appears on the display. For hourly chime, ":00" appears.

Setting the Time and Date:
- In Timekeeping Mode, press and hold button "A" until the city code flashes, indicating setting mode.
- Press button "C" to cycle through settings: City Code → DST → 12/24 Hour Format → Seconds → Hours → Minutes → Year → Month → Day → Power Saving Mode → City Code.
- To set seconds (flashing): Press "D" to reset to 00. If seconds are 30-59, minutes increment. If 00-29, minutes remain unchanged.
- Use button "D" to increase and button "B" to decrease values for minutes, etc. The day of the week is set automatically. The date can be set from Jan 1, 2000, to Dec 31, 2099.
- Press button "D" to toggle between 12-hour (P for PM) and 24-hour formats.
- Use buttons "D" and "B" to select your current city code.
- For DST setting, press "D" to cycle through AUTO, ON, OFF.
- Press "D" to turn Power Saving Mode ON or OFF.
- Press "A" to confirm and exit.
Подсветка (Backlight)
Press button "B" in any mode to activate the backlight. The EL backlight's brightness may decrease over time. A faint sound during illumination is normal (vibrating elements). Backlight may be hard to see in direct sunlight. Frequent use reduces battery life.
Автоподсветка (Auto-Backlight)
The backlight activates automatically when the watch is tilted at an angle of approximately 40° towards you. Avoid using this feature when it could distract or endanger you (e.g., while riding a motorcycle).
To enable Auto-Backlight, press and hold button "D" for 3 seconds in Timekeeping Mode (A.EL indicator appears).

These watches use a solar rechargeable battery and a backup battery. If the watch is kept in darkness for extended periods, the rechargeable battery level will drop.
