Notes for Corresponding Categories:

  1. The watch is not water resistant. Avoid any contact with moisture.
  2. Do not pull out the crown while the watch is wet.
  3. Do not press the watch buttons underwater.
  4. If water enters the watch, have it checked immediately by your nearest CASIO dealer or distributor.
  5. Do not expose the watch to extreme temperatures.
  6. Although the watch is designed for normal use, avoid rough handling and do not drop it.
  7. Do not fasten the watchband too tightly. There should be enough space to fit one finger between the band and your wrist.
  8. To clean the watch and band, use a soft, dry cloth, or a soft cloth dampened with a solution of mild neutral detergent and water. Never use volatile agents such as gasoline, paint thinner, benzine, or cleaning agents that spray.
  9. When not using the watch, store it in a dry place.
  10. Avoid contact with gasoline, cleaning solvents, aerosol sprays, adhesives, paint, etc. Chemical reactions caused by these materials can damage gaskets, the case, and the watch's finish.
  11. Some models feature silk-screened graphics on the band. Be careful when cleaning these bands to avoid damaging the graphics.

For Resin Bands...

  • You may notice a white powdery substance on the band. This substance is harmless to your skin or clothing and can be easily removed by wiping with a cloth.
  • Exposure of resin bands to sweat or moisture, or storing them in high humidity conditions, can lead to damage, tearing, or cracking. To ensure a long service life for resin bands, wipe them clean of dirt and moisture with a soft cloth whenever possible.

For Fluorescent Cases and Bands...

  • Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause gradual fading of the fluorescent color.
  • Extended contact with moisture can also cause gradual fading of the fluorescent color. If any moisture gets on the watch's surface, wipe it off as soon as possible.
  • Prolonged contact with any other wet surface can cause the fluorescent color to fade. Ensure the fluorescent surface is dry and avoid contact with other surfaces.
  • Strong friction between the fluorescent surface and another surface can cause the fluorescent color to transfer.

COMPASS MODE

The watch's built-in magnetic sensor detects magnetic north to determine direction. It can identify one of 16 cardinal directions.

  1. Direction determination begins immediately upon entering Compass Mode (press button “A”).
  2. After a few seconds, the display will show the direction indicated by the 12 o'clock position and the “ACT” indicator, signifying that the compass is measuring.
  3. Press button “D” to return to Timekeeping Mode.

Performing Measurements

  1. Place the watch on a level surface. The 12 o'clock position indicates the direction you want to determine.
  2. Press button “A” to start measurement.
  3. After a few seconds, the display will show the direction indicated by the 12 o'clock position.
    • The watch measures continuously for 20 seconds.
    • During measurement, the display shows the cardinal direction indicator, the angle between your current location and magnetic north, and graphical representations of cardinal directions (North, South, East, West).

Directional Labels:

  • N: North
  • E: East
  • S: South
  • W: West
  • NNE: North-Northeast
  • ENE: East-Northeast
  • ESE: East-Southeast
  • SSE: South-Southeast

Magnetic Sensor Calibration

If you suspect compass readings are inaccurate, perform calibration. You can use either bi-directional or north calibration. Bi-directional calibration is recommended if the watch has been exposed to magnetic interference. North calibration allows you to orient the watch to magnetic north. If you choose to perform both calibrations, do bi-directional calibration first, followed by north calibration.

Bi-directional Calibration

  1. In Compass Mode, press button “E” to start calibration. The display will show “- 1 -”, and the magnetic north indicator will flash at the 12 o'clock position, indicating readiness for the first calibration direction.
  2. Place the watch on a level surface and press button “A” to calibrate the first direction.
  3. Upon completion, “OK” will appear, followed by “- 2 -”. The magnetic north indicator will flash at the 6 o'clock position, indicating readiness for the next calibration direction.
  4. Rotate the watch 180 degrees.
  5. Press button “A” to calibrate the second direction.
  6. Upon completion, “OK” will appear, and the watch will automatically return to Compass Mode.
    • You can only use two directions that are 180 degrees apart for bi-directional calibration.
    • Do not move the watch during calibration, or “ERROR” may appear on the display. If this happens, you must start the calibration process from the beginning.
    • The “ERROR” indicator may also appear if there is a strong source of magnetic interference nearby.
    • It is best to perform compass calibration in the location where you intend to use it.

North Calibration

  1. In Compass Mode, press button “E” to start bi-directional calibration. The display will show “- 1 -”, indicating the start of settings.
  2. Press button “D” to start north calibration. The display will show “- N -”.
  3. Place the compass on a level surface so that the 12 o'clock position aligns with North.
  4. Press button “A” to start calibration.
  5. Upon completion, “OK” will appear, and the watch will automatically return to Compass Mode after a short beep.
  6. Do not move the watch during calibration, or “ERR” may appear on the display. If this happens, you must start the calibration process from the beginning.
  7. The “ERROR” indicator may also appear if there is a strong source of magnetic interference nearby.

BAROMETER/THERMOMETER MODE

This watch is equipped with a sensor for measuring atmospheric pressure and temperature. Ambient temperature readings can be affected by body heat, direct sunlight, or moisture.

Monitoring Atmospheric Pressure/Temperature

  1. Press button “B” to enter Barometer/Thermometer Mode and begin measuring atmospheric pressure and temperature, which takes about 4-5 seconds.
  2. Atmospheric pressure readings are displayed in the center of the screen.
  3. Press button “E” to switch between temperature readings and the pressure graph in the lower part of the screen.
  4. Atmospheric pressure is displayed in 1 hPa (0.05 inHg). The measurement range is 260 – 1100 hPa (7.65 – 32.45 inHg).
  5. If the measured atmospheric pressure is outside the sensor's range, “----” will appear on the display. Readings will resume when the pressure returns to normal.

  7. If “----°C” (°F) appears, it means the temperature is outside the allowable range of -10°C to 60°C (-14°F to 140°F). Readings will resume when the temperature returns to normal.

Atmospheric Pressure Graph

Measurements begin upon entering Barometer Mode and are taken every 2 hours, starting from the even hour. All measured values are displayed on the watch's graph.

  1. The graph displays readings for the past 30 hours.
  2. The flashing graph cursor indicates the latest measurement.
  3. The graph rises or falls when the pressure changes by 1 hPa (0.05 inHg).
  4. Sudden temperature changes may cause some graph segments to disappear. The display will resume when the temperature returns to normal. The following conditions may disrupt the graph display: Measurements outside the range (260 hPa – 1100 hPa / 7.65 – 32.45 inHg). Sensor malfunction.

Pressure Difference Display

When atmospheric pressure measurement begins in Barometer Mode, the first reading is taken as the base. Each subsequent reading is compared to the first, and the difference is displayed. Readings are displayed in a range of +/-15 hPa.
