System Overview
This document provides a design guide for integrating Sound Control Technologies' (SCT) USB-PDI™ and RemoteTableKit-X57™ system with Poly room bar solutions. The system facilitates seamless audio and video connectivity for conference rooms.
System Components and Connections
The system comprises several key components that connect to form a complete AV solution:
- Poly TC8 or TC10: A touch control panel for managing the conference room system.
- Poly Expansion Mic: An additional microphone unit to enhance audio capture.
- RTK-X57-TX™ Transmitter Module: Receives audio/video input from control devices and microphones.
- RTK-X57-RX™ Receiver Module: Receives signals from the transmitter and outputs them to the room bar.
- USB-PDI™ (Power Delivery Injector): Manages power delivery and data transmission for the system. It has front and back interfaces.
- Laptop: The host computer providing content and control.
- Poly X50, X52, or X70: The primary room bar device, handling audio and video processing.
- Power Supplies: Including USB-C Power Supply and a WPS-12 12VDC Power Supply.
Connection Flow:
The Poly TC8/TC10 and Poly Expansion Mic connect to the RTK-X57-TX™ Transmitter Module. The expansion mic uses a RCC-H016-1.0M UTP cable. The transmitter module is linked to the RTK-X57-RX™ Receiver Module via the critical SCTLink™ cable.
The USB-PDI™ unit is integrated for power and data. Its front connects to the RTK-X57-TX™ Transmitter Module via a RCC-M006-1.0M USB-A to USB-Micro B cable. The USB-PDI™ back connects to the RTK-X57-RX™ Receiver Module using a RCC-M015-1.0M USB-C to USB-C cable.
Power is supplied to the system via a USB-C Power Supply for the USB-PDI™, and a WPS-12 12VDC Power Supply is connected to the RTK-X57-RX™ Receiver Module's power output and also to the RTK-X57-TX™ Transmitter Module's power input. The note "*Can be used on Tx or Rx.*" indicates flexibility for the 12VDC supply.
The Laptop connects to the USB-PDI™ via a RCC-M005-1.0M USB-A to USB-C cable, enabling "USB-C Data, Video, & Power" transfer. A PPC-015-1.0M Power Cable is used for the laptop.
The RTK-X57-RX™ Receiver Module connects to the Poly X50, X52, or X70 room bar using various cables, including RCC-H001-1.0M HDMI Cable, RCC-H016-1.0M UTP Cable, and RCC-M010-1.0M RJ12 to RJ12 6P6C Cable.

- Type: Ethernet/POE; HDMI; USB
- Cable Category: Up to 100m CAT5e/CAT6
- Requirement: Must be a single, point-to-point CAT cable with no couplers or interconnections.
