Adding Soft Codec Support to Camera/Codec Systems (No DSP)
This section details the integration of soft codec support into camera and codec systems without a Digital Signal Processor (DSP).
Key Components:
- RC-SDA+ Gen2™: The core interface unit.
- RCC-H030-1.0M HDCI Y Cable: Connects the camera's HDCI output to HDMI/DB9 ports.
- Poly RPG300, RPG500, RPG700 & G7500: Compatible Poly codec systems.
- RCC-M003-1.0M USB 3.0 A to A Cable: Connects the RC-SDA+ Gen2 to a PC.
- Poly-Supplied HDCI to Mini HDCI Cable: Connects the camera to the RC-SDA+ Gen2.
- Audio Mixer: For audio input.
- WPS-12 30VDC Power Supply: Provides power (100-240V, 47-63Hz).
- PC Running Soft Codec: The computer hosting the soft codec application.
- HDMI Cable: Purchased separately, for video output.
- Audio Cable: Purchased separately.
Configuration Note: Set the soft codec to use software Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC) as the default mode.
Adding Soft Codec Support to Camera/Codec Systems (With DSP)
This section outlines the integration of soft codec support into camera and codec systems that include a Digital Signal Processor (DSP).
Key Components:
- RC-SDA+ Gen2™: The core interface unit.
- RCC-H030-1.0M HDCI Y Cable: Connects the camera's HDCI output to HDMI/DB9 ports.
- Poly RPG300, RPG500, RPG700 & G7500: Compatible Poly codec systems.
- RCC-M003-1.0M USB 3.0 A to A Cable: Connects the RC-SDA+ Gen2 to a PC.
- Poly-Supplied HDCI to Mini HDCI Cable: Connects the camera to the RC-SDA+ Gen2.
- Audio DSP: For audio processing.
- WPS-12 30VDC Power Supply: Provides power (100-240V, 47-63Hz).
- PC Running Soft Codec: The computer hosting the soft codec application.
- HDMI Cable: Purchased separately, for video output.
- Audio Cables: Purchased separately.
Configuration Notes for Disabling AEC:
- For MS Teams: Select "High Fidelity Music Mode" and uncheck "Enable echo cancellation".
- For Zoom: Enable "Original Sound" and uncheck "Echo Cancellation".
Adding Soft Codec Support to Poly Camera (No Codec, no DSP)
This section describes how to add soft codec support to a Poly camera system when no separate codec unit or DSP is present.
Key Components:
- RC-SDA+ Gen2™: The core interface unit.
- Poly-Supplied HDCI to Mini HDCI Cable: Connects the camera to the RC-SDA+ Gen2.
- Audio Mixer: For audio input.
- Audio Amp: For audio amplification.
- RCC-M003-1.0M USB 3.0 A to A Cable: Connects the RC-SDA+ Gen2 to a PC.
- WPS-12 30VDC Power Supply: Provides power (100-240V, 47-63Hz).
- PC Running Soft Codec: The computer hosting the soft codec application.
- HDMI Cable: Purchased separately, for video output.
- Audio Cables: Purchased separately.
Configuration Note: Set the soft codec to use software Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC) as the default mode.
Adding Soft Codec Support to Poly Camera (No Codec, with DSP)
