Battery
The battery is factory-installed and should be replaced immediately when power is low (e.g., backlight dim, display faint) by an authorized CASIO dealer or distributor.
Water Resistance
Watches are classified by water resistance levels (I to V). Refer to the table below for proper usage.
Level | Marking | Splash/Rain | Washing Machine | Swimming/Snorkeling | Scuba Diving |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
I | WATER RESISTANT | Yes | No | No | No |
II | WATER RESISTANT | Yes | No | No | No |
III | 50M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | No | No |
IV | 100M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | No |
V | 200M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
300M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Notes for levels:
- Level I: Not water resistant. Avoid all moisture.
- Level II: Do not pull out the crown when the watch is wet.
- Level III: Do not press buttons underwater.
- Level IV: If exposed to saltwater, rinse thoroughly with fresh water and dry.
- Level V: Suitable for scuba diving (excluding saturation diving requiring helium-oxygen mix).
Some water-resistant watches have leather bands. Do not wear these watches while swimming or engaging in activities where the band may get wet.
Care for Your Watch
- Never attempt to open the case or remove the back cover.
- The gasket (water/dust seal) should be replaced every 2-3 years.
- If water enters the watch, have it checked immediately by a CASIO dealer.
- Avoid extreme temperatures.
- While designed for normal use, avoid rough handling or dropping.
- Do not overtighten the band. A finger should fit between your wrist and the band.
- Clean with a dry, soft cloth, or a soft cloth dampened with a mild neutral detergent solution. Never use volatile substances (e.g., benzine, solvents, spray cleaners).
- Store in a dry place when not in use.
- Avoid contact with benzine, cleaning solvents, spray aerosols, adhesives, paint, etc. These can cause chemical reactions damaging gaskets, case, and finish.
- Be careful when cleaning bands with silk-screened designs to avoid damaging the graphics.
For Watches with Plastic Bands...
- A white powdery substance may appear on the band. This is harmless and can be wiped off with a cloth.
- Sweat or moisture, or storage in high humidity, can cause damage, tearing, or cracking. To prolong band life, wipe off dirt and moisture with a soft cloth when possible.
For Watches with Fluorescent Cases and Bands...
- Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause fluorescent colors to fade.
- Prolonged contact with moisture can cause fluorescent colors to fade. Wipe off any moisture promptly.
- Prolonged contact with other wet surfaces can cause fluorescent colors to transfer. Keep fluorescent surfaces dry and avoid contact with other materials.
- Rubbing surfaces with fluorescent paint against other surfaces can transfer the paint.
CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. is not responsible for any damage that may occur from the use of this watch and accepts no claims from third parties.
