Important Information

Please read this important information before use.

Battery

The battery is factory-installed and should be replaced immediately when power is low (e.g., backlight dim, display faint) by an authorized CASIO dealer or distributor.

Water Resistance

Watches are classified by water resistance levels (I to V). Refer to the table below for proper usage.

Notes for levels:

Some water-resistant watches have leather bands. Do not wear these watches while swimming or engaging in activities where the band may get wet.

General Description of Modes: The diagram shows the watch in Timekeeping Mode. Press button "C" to cycle through modes.

Watch Modes and Operation

Mode Transitions

Timekeeping ModeThermo Scanner Mode: Press "D" to switch from Timekeeping to Thermo Scanner. Press "C" in Thermo Scanner to return to Timekeeping.

Other Modes: Press "C" to cycle through modes: Timekeeping, Thermo Scanner, Moon Data, Alarm.

Press "L" in any mode to activate the backlight.

Timekeeping Mode

Settings made here are crucial for Moon Time and Tide Graph data. You must set the GMT difference, latitude, longitude, and lunitidal interval for your location.

Setting Time and Date

  1. In Timekeeping Mode, press "A". The seconds will flash, indicating setting mode.
  2. Press "C" to cycle through the following settings: Seconds → Hour → Minutes → 12/24-Hour Format → Moon Phase Indicator → Day of Week → Tide Graph → Month-Day.
  3. While seconds are flashing, press "D" to reset seconds to "00". If seconds are between 30-59 when "D" is pressed, the minutes will increment by 1. If seconds are 00-29, minutes remain unchanged.
  4. To adjust other fields (except seconds), press "D" to increase and "B" to decrease. Holding a button speeds up the change.
  5. The day of the week is set automatically based on the date.
  6. The date can be set from January 1, 1995, to December 31, 2039.
  7. Press "D" to toggle between 12-hour (indicated by "12H") and 24-hour (indicated by "24H") format.
  8. After setting time and date, press "A" three times to return to Timekeeping Mode.

Setting Daylight Saving Time (DST) and GMT Differential

This function allows you to enable/disable DST and set the time difference from Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).

  1. In Timekeeping Mode, press "A". Seconds will flash.
  2. Press "A" again to enter DST setting.
  3. Press "D" to toggle DST ON or OFF.
  4. Press "C" to move to the GMT differential setting. Use "D" to increase and "B" to decrease the value.
  5. Press "A" twice to return to Timekeeping Mode.

Setting Longitude and Lunitidal Interval

This mode is used to set your location's latitude, longitude, and lunitidal interval for tide predictions.

  1. In Timekeeping Mode, press "A". Seconds will flash.
  2. Press "A" twice to enter the Longitude setting.
  3. Press "C" to cycle through settings: Longitude → Lunitidal Interval (Hours) → Lunitidal Interval (Minutes).
  4. Use "D" to increase and "B" to decrease values.
  5. Press "A" to exit.

Additional Mode Operations

Multi-Time Mode

Allows viewing current time, moon time, and tide graphs for up to 10 different locations.

Viewing Data for a Specific Location

  1. From Timekeeping Mode, press "C" to enter Multi-Time Mode. The last viewed location is displayed first.
  2. Use "D" or "B" to scroll through the 10 pre-programmed locations.
  3. Your watch has data for 10 locations worldwide, including name, DST setting, GMT difference, latitude, longitude, and lunitidal interval.
  4. The "HOME" indicator appears for the location where your current time and date were set.

Changing Location Data

  1. In Multi-Time Mode, use "B" and "D" to select the location you want to change.
  2. Press "A" until the DST indicator flashes, indicating the start of settings.
  3. Press "C" to cycle through settings: DST (ON/OFF) → GMT Differential → Location Name.
  4. Use "D" to turn DST ON or OFF.
  5. To adjust the GMT differential, use "D" to increase and "B" to decrease the value.
  6. To enter the location name, use "D" and "B" to change characters. Press "C" to move to the next character position. Use space for blank characters. You can enter up to 8 characters.
  7. After setting the location name, DST, and GMT differential, press "A" to proceed to Longitude settings.
  8. Press "C" to cycle through Longitude → Lunitidal Interval (Hours) → Lunitidal Interval (Minutes).
  9. Use "D" and "B" to set the Longitude and Lunitidal Interval values.
  10. Press "A" to exit.

Moon Time Mode

Displays moon age and tide times (high/low tide). Press "A" to switch between Moon Age and Tide Data screens.

Displaying Moon Age for a Specific Date

  1. In Moon Time Mode, press "A" to display the Moon Age screen.
  2. Use "D" and "B" to set the date (from 1995 to 2039).
  3. Moon age appears after a few seconds.
  4. The graph shows the visible portion of the moon for its phase.
  5. The tide graph displays the moon's position from the Northern Hemisphere looking South.

Displaying Tide Graph for a Specific Date

  1. In Moon Time Mode, press "A" to display the Moon Age screen.
  2. Use "D" and "B" to set the date (from 1995 to 2039).
  3. Press "A" to display the Tide Data screen.
  4. Use "D" and "B" to set the time.
  5. The tide graph will appear after a few seconds.
  6. High tide and low tide times indicate when the moon is at its highest and lowest orbital points relative to your location.

Alarm Mode

Set an alarm to sound at a specific time for a few seconds. Press any button to stop it. An hourly time signal provides a short beep at the start of each hour if enabled.

Setting Alarm Time

  1. In Alarm Mode, press "A". The hour digits will flash.
  2. Press "C" to cycle through Hour → Minutes.
  3. Use "D" to increase and "B" to decrease values. Holding a button speeds up the change.
  4. When using 12-hour format, ensure the AM/PM indicator is correct.
  5. Press "A" to save the alarm settings.

Turning Alarm/Hourly Signal ON/OFF

Press "B" in Alarm Mode to cycle through the following settings:

Press and hold "D" in Alarm Mode to test the alarm sound.

Thermo Scanner Mode

Use the built-in sensor to measure the temperature of an object by bringing it close to the watch. Readings are approximate and not for precise measurements. It measures surface temperature only. Be cautious with hot objects.

Using the Thermo Scanner

  1. Bring the object close to the watch's sensor, located on the upper right side.
  2. Enter Thermo Scanner Mode and press "D" to start temperature measurement.
  3. The sensor calculates temperature based on infrared radiation emitted by the object, which depends on the object's temperature, material, and surface properties (emissivity). The default emissivity is 0.95, but it can be adjusted for more accurate readings.

Checking Emissivity

In Thermo Scanner Mode, press "B" to display the emissivity value.

Changing Emissivity

  1. In Thermo Scanner Mode, press "A" to start settings.
  2. Use "D" and "B" to adjust the value. The range is 0.10 to 1.20, with increments of 0.05.
  3. Pressing "D" and "B" simultaneously resets the value to the default 0.95.
  4. Press "A" to exit.

Changing Temperature Units

  1. In Thermo Scanner Mode, press "A" to start settings.
  2. Press "C" to select the unit mode (°C or °F).
  3. Press "D" to select the desired unit.
  4. Press "A" to exit.
