Welcome to your new Reflex Active Series 44 smartwatch. Please take a few minutes to read through these instructions to ensure you get the best experience. Getting Started

Downloading the REFLEX ACTIVE BLUE App

To download the app, search for "REFLEX ACTIVE BLUE App." on your smartphone's app store or scan the appropriate QR code with your smartphone camera. The app is compatible with Android (version 9.0 and above) and Apple iOS (version 12.0 and above).

Power On / Off

• To switch on: Press and hold the crown until the display illuminates.
• To switch off: Long press the crown, or navigate to the settings/more functions menu on the watch.

How to Charge

1. Align the four magnetic pins on the charger with the charging spots on the back of the watch case. The magnets will secure the charger in place.

2. Plug the USB cable into a power source. A charging icon will appear on the screen once connected.

• Please charge the watch when the battery level is low.
• Charging typically takes 3 hours for a full charge. Avoid overcharging.

Button Operations

• Short pressing the crown: Unlocks the screen or returns to the main dial page.
• Long pressing the crown button: Turns the watch on or off, or accesses the settings menu.

Connecting Your Smartwatch to Mobile Phone

Pairing Process

1. Enable Bluetooth connection on your smartphone.
2. Open the REFLEX ACTIVE BLUE App on your smartphone.
3. Follow the on-screen setup guide to set your preferences.
4. To connect your watch, navigate to settings within the app, select 'connect smart device', and choose 'Series 44'.
5. A unique 6-digit pairing code will appear on both the watch and phone screens. Accept the connection if the codes match to complete the setup.

Allow necessary permissions when prompted by the app to ensure full functionality of your watch.

Disconnecting Your Smartwatch & Phone

1. Open the REFLEX ACTIVE BLUE App on your smartphone.
2. Tap 'settings' in the bottom right corner and select 'forget device'.

Add Contacts

You can add up to 8 contacts to your watch via the REFLEX ACTIVE BLUE app. Go to "favourite contacts" within the app to add and sync your selected contacts to the watch.

Wireless Connection Calling Function

After connecting your smartwatch to your phone via Bluetooth, you can use the watch's built-in microphone and speaker to make and answer calls. You can also view call history on the watch. Maintaining the Bluetooth connection between the watch and phone is necessary for this function.

Battery Life Note: The battery lasts approximately 3-4 days with Bluetooth calling mode enabled. On standby, it can last 10-15 days.

How to Connect for Calling

1. After connecting the watch to the REFLEX ACTIVE BLUE app, you will be prompted to accept wireless connection; please accept.
2. On your watch, swipe right to access the menu and locate the 'Phone' function.

Answering and Managing Calls

When a Bluetooth call is active, the watch will ring and vibrate. You can answer or reject the call directly from the watch.

• To speak, use the built-in microphone on your watch.
• Adjust speaker volume using the '+' or '-' buttons.
• Tap the red phone icon to end the call.
• Switch between watch/phone during a call: If your watch is connected via wireless calling, calls appear on the watch by default. To switch the call audio to your phone, tap the handset earpiece icon on the watch screen.

How to Disconnect Calling

To disconnect Bluetooth calling, go to your phone's Bluetooth settings and 'unpair' the 'REFLEX ACTIVE 44'. A shortcut to temporarily disable this feature may also be available on the watch's settings page.

Watch Faces

Your smartwatch offers a selection of signature watch faces. To switch between them, press and hold the screen, then swipe left or right to browse. Tap your desired watch face to set it.

Always On Dial

Activate the Always On Display feature to view the time at a glance. Navigate to Settings on your watch, select 'Always On Dial', and choose between Analogue or Digital display styles.

Dual Time Display

Enjoy the convenience of viewing home and away times simultaneously. Select a dual time dial on your watch, then use the app to choose a second city for time zone display.

Choosing Additional Dials

Access a wider range of watch faces through the app's dial directory. Go to 'Device' > 'Series 44' page in the app, select 'Clockface', and tap the desired dial. The dial will transfer to your watch screen.

Note: Your watch can store one additional dial at a time; downloading a new dial will replace the previous one.

Using Your Own Photo

Personalize your watch face by selecting a photo from your smartphone gallery. In the app, go to 'Device' > 'Series 44', tap 'edit' on the first watch face, and choose an image from your album or take a new photo. Adjust and scale the image within the guide, then position the time display as desired and tap 'set as watch face'.

Note: You must grant the app access to your photo gallery via your phone's settings.

Wellness Features

• Blood Oxygen: Measure blood oxygen levels or oxygen saturation in your blood.
• Stress Monitor: Monitor your stress levels throughout the day.
• Breathe: Practice mindfulness and focus on your breathing with guided sessions.
• Female Health: Track your menstrual cycle easily.
• Goals: Receive reminders when you achieve your set goals for chosen sports.

Sport Mode with GPS

1. Select an activity on the watch.
2. The watch will display the GPS start-up screen. Wait for the 'GPS signal is Ready' status. Ensure you are in an open area for optimal signal reception.
3. Press 'start' to begin your activity.
4. During the activity, the watch displays time, heart rate, and calories burned. Swipe down to view steps, speed, and distance.
5. To stop or pause: Swipe right. Tap 'end' to stop and exit, or 'continue' to resume. You can also lock the screen to prevent accidental stopping.

After completing an activity, view your data and route in the app. You can link your activity to Strava by selecting the Strava logo.

Steps

The watch automatically tracks your steps using multi-axis inertial sensors (accelerometers). Your movement stats reset to 0 at midnight.

Heart Rate

The watch records your heart rate when activated in settings. You can also tap the screen to manually measure your heart rate.

Sleep Monitor

If worn during sleep, the watch tracks your sleep hours and quality. Sleep detection typically occurs between 10 PM and 8 AM.

Note: Outdoor features are supplementary tools and the watch is not intended as a safety device. Always check local conditions and stay aware of your surroundings.

Lifestyle Features

• Music Player: Select tracks and control volume directly from your watch. Artist and track names are displayed on screen.
• Message Notifications: Syncs incoming notifications from social media apps like Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram. Select which notifications to receive in the app.
• Camera Control: Control your phone's camera remotely once the watch is connected. The phone must be unlocked for this feature.
• Reminder to Move: The device vibrates to remind you to move after 1 hour of inactivity. This feature can be enabled or disabled in the app.
• Hydration Reminder: Your watch will remind you to drink water. Set this feature in the app.
• Find Phone: When connected via Bluetooth, this feature will ring and vibrate your phone to help you locate it.
• Weather Updates: View current weather conditions and forecasts for the next day by swiping up. This information is synced from the app and requires phone connection and location selection in app settings.
• Other Features: Includes Timer, Alarm, Stopwatch, Calendar, and Voice Assistant.

Specifications

How to Care for Your Smartwatch

Avoid wearing your smartwatch while applying sprays or creams. Prevent contact with corrosive agents like paint, solvents, or adhesives, as these can affect the watch's finish. Do not attempt to replace or disassemble the battery.

Strap Care

Environmental conditions can impact strap durability. Handle with care, limit exposure to direct heat or sunlight, and keep the watch dry. Avoid chemical cleaners and cosmetic products (e.g., fake tan, perfumes) on the strap. Light soiling can be cleaned with a weak, soapy water solution on a damp cloth. Be aware that light-colored straps may attract color transfer from other materials or cosmetics; discolouration is not covered by the guarantee.

Silicone Strap Care

To maintain your silicone strap, clean it regularly with mild soap and water to remove dirt, oils, and lotions, ensuring the watch case remains dry. When not in use, store the smartwatch in its original gift box.

Important Information

Step Counter Accuracy

Smartwatches use accelerometers to measure steps based on wrist movement. However, certain wrist actions can mimic step movements and lead to inaccurate counts. The recorded step count should be used as a guide only.

Water Resistance (IP68)

Your watch is certified water-resistant for up to 30 minutes at a maximum depth of 1.5 meters. It is not recommended for use in saltwater. Always rinse your smartwatch after swimming.

Guarantee

Reflex Active guarantees this smartwatch against defective parts and construction for 2 years from the date of purchase, provided the original receipt is presented. This guarantee is in addition to your statutory consumer rights and does not cover lenses, bands, straps, water penetration, or batteries. Breakages due to accident or maltreatment are also excluded.

• Avoid strong magnetic fields (e.g., loudspeakers).
• Salt and thermal water can cause corrosion of metal parts. Remove the product before using saunas due to potential condensation from temperature differences.
• Do not operate near heat sources (radiators, etc.) or cover during operation or charging.
• Never use the product on aeroplanes, in hospitals, service rooms, or near medical electronic systems, as wireless signals could interfere with sensitive electronics.
• Do not use if the display is cracked.
• Do not expose to extremely high or low temperatures.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners.
• Remove the product immediately if it feels warm or hot.
• Do not attempt to wear or operate while charging.
• Do not charge if the product is wet.
• Do not check notifications or use applications while driving or in other hazardous situations where distractions could be dangerous. Always be aware of your surroundings.
• Remove the smartwatch at regular intervals for gentle cleaning.

Health Warnings

• Reflex Active smartwatches contain components that emit electromagnetic fields. Some models contain magnetic charging docks. These fields and magnets may interfere with medical devices like pacemakers or implanted defibrillators. Consult your doctor and medical device manufacturer before use if you have such devices.
• The Reflex Active heart rate monitor is for recreational use only and not intended for medical diagnosis or monitoring.
• The heart rate monitor emits flashing lights; consult your doctor before use if you have epilepsy or similar conditions.
• Heart rate readings are estimates and can be affected by factors like watch fit, wearer characteristics, and activity intensity.
• Consult a doctor before starting new exercise regimes.
• Sensors track movement to estimate activity, sleep, and calories. These estimations are not always fully accurate.
• Some wearers may experience skin irritation from prolonged use. Sensitive skin, allergies, or medication can contribute to irritation. Remove the smartwatch if irritation occurs. Regular cleaning and avoiding over-tightening can help prevent irritation.
• If your watch features cycle tracking, it is for personal records only and not intended for conception assistance or prevention. Consult a doctor for any unusual observations.
