Ecler VEO-XPS47 4K 18Gbps HDMI® Extender Kit with Audio Extraction
User Manual
1. Safety Precautions
1.1 Important Preliminary Note
The lightning symbol within an equilateral triangle warns the user of non-isolated, dangerous voltage within the product housing that could be sufficient to cause an electric shock.
The exclamation mark within an equilateral triangle indicates that the user should refer to the accompanying documentation for important operating and maintenance instructions.
WARNING (if applicable): Connections marked with the symbol "⚡" may pose a risk of electric shock. External wiring connected to the terminals must be performed by qualified personnel or using pre-assembled cables.
WARNING: For fire and electric shock protection, the device must always be protected from moisture and humidity.
CAUTION: Class I safety devices must only be connected to earthed mains sockets with a protective earth conductor.
CAUTION: Ecler products have a long lifespan of more than 10 years. This product must not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste under any circumstances. Please dispose of it at the nearest recycling center for electrical and electronic waste.
1.2 Important Safety Instructions
- Read this manual thoroughly.
- Keep this manual in a safe place.
- Observe all warning labels.
- Follow all instructions.
- Do not use the device near water.
- Clean only with a dry cloth.
- Ensure that all ventilation openings remain unobstructed. Install the device according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Do not place the device near heat sources such as radiators, ovens, or other heat-generating appliances (including amplifiers).
- Never disable the safety function of a polarized or earthed plug. A polarized plug has two pins of different widths. An earthed plug has two pins and a third earth pin. This third pin is for your safety. If the supplied plug does not fit your socket, have it replaced by a qualified electrician.
- Ensure that the power cord cannot be pinched, twisted, or stepped on, especially at the plugs, connection sockets, and the point where the cable exits the device.
- Only use accessories/add-on parts specified by the manufacturer.
- Disconnect the device from the mains during thunderstorms or when it will not be used for extended periods.
- Only allow qualified service personnel to perform service work. Service is required when the device has been damaged in any way, such as damage to the power cord or plug, if liquids or foreign objects have entered the device, if the device has been exposed to rain or moisture, if it does not operate normally, or if it has been dropped.
- Power Supply Disconnection: Turning off the device using the POWER switch interrupts all functions and indicator lights. However, to completely disconnect the device from the mains, the power cord must be removed from the mains socket. This must therefore always be easily accessible.
- The device is connected to an earthed socket via a power cord.
- The specifications are located on the top/back of the device.
- Protect the device from dripping or splashing water, and do not place any liquid-filled containers (e.g., flower vases) on it.
1.3 Cleaning
Always clean the device with a soft, dry cloth or a cloth slightly dampened with water and mild liquid soap. Ensure that no liquid enters the device through any openings. Do not use alcohol, gasoline, solvents, or abrasive cleaners.
NEEC AUDIO BARCELONA, S.L. is not liable for any damage to persons, animals, or objects caused by failure to comply with the above warnings.

4. Description and Features
The VEO-XPS47 is an HDMI® 18Gbps extender kit that extends 4K 50Hz 4:4:4 video signals with zero latency over a single Cat 5e or higher category cable up to 70 meters. It features unbalanced stereo audio extraction via Euroblock connectors on both the sender and receiver, as well as EDID management, IR signal pass-through, and bidirectional PoC support, making it a simple and cost-effective solution for professional extension applications.
4.1 Key Features
- Sender and receiver set for signal extension over a single Cat 5e or higher category cable.
- Supports HDMI® 18Gbps 4K 60Hz 4:4:4 as described in HDMI® 2.0b.
- Transmission range for 4K/50Hz up to 70 meters and 4K/60Hz up to 30 meters.
- Unbalanced stereo audio output via Euroblock connectors on the sender and receiver.
- Supports HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and HLG.
- Supports audio formats LPCM 7.1, Dolby True HD, DTS HD Master.
- Bidirectional IR control extension.
- EDID management.
- HDCP 2.2 compliant.

5. Control Panel Functions
5.1 Sender: Front and Rear Panel
1. EDID: Used to select EDID settings. When the switch is in the right position, the extender copies the EDID information from the HDMI® loop-out to the source; when in the left position, it copies the EDID information from the receiver to the source.
2. SERVICE: Micro-USB connector for firmware upgrades and custom EDID uploads.
3. AUDIO OUT: Unbalanced stereo audio extraction.
4. IN: HDMI® input connector.
5. CAT OUT: Connect this to the receiver's input using a Cat 5e or higher category cable. Only point-to-point connections are allowed.
6. IR IN: 3.5mm jack for connecting the IR receiver for IR pass-through.
7. IR OUT: 3.5mm jack for connecting to the IR blaster to transmit an IR signal from the display to the source.
8. DC 12V: Connect the supplied 12V DC power adapter here.
5.2 Receiver: Front and Rear Panel
1. SERVICE: Micro-USB connector for firmware upgrades and custom EDID uploads.
2. OUT: HDMI® output. Connect it to the display device (e.g., 4K TV screen).
3. AUDIO OUT: Unbalanced stereo audio extraction.
4. CAT IN: Connect this using a Cat 5e or higher category cable to the receiver's input. Only point-to-point connections are allowed.
5. IR IN: Connect this to the supplied IR receiver to extend an IR signal from the display to the source.
6. IR OUT: 3.5mm jack for connecting the IR receiver for IR pass-through.
7. DC 12V: Connect the supplied 12V DC power adapter here.
6. Installation and Connection
To avoid connection problems and malfunctions, high-quality standard Ethernet cables of Category 5e (or higher) are required for connecting the sender to the receiver. To ensure a good signal reference for the receiver and to avoid electromagnetic interference along the cable, shielded cables and connectors are absolutely necessary.
Please be careful when inserting or removing HDMI® cables.
- HDMI® signal sources, e.g., Blu-Ray players, STBs, etc.: Connect the devices to the HDMI® input of the VEO-XPS47 sender.
- HDMI® display devices, e.g., 4K or 1080p screens or projectors: Connect the devices to the HDMI® output of the VEO-XPS47 receiver.
- IR Blaster: Connect this to the IR-Out connector of the VEO-XPS47 sender and/or receiver.
- IR Receiver: Connect this to the IR-In connector of the VEO-XPS47 sender and/or receiver.

5. Amplifiers or audio devices: Connect these to the audio connectors of the VEO-XPS47 sender and/or receiver.
6. Sender & Receiver Connection: using a Cat 5e (or higher) cable from the sender's RJ-45 output to the receiver's RJ-45 input.
7. Power Supply: Connect the 12V DC power adapter to the VEO-XPS47 sender or receiver. Please note that only one of the two devices needs to be plugged in to power both devices.
The bidirectional power supply allows for shared power usage between the sender and receiver over the same Cat 5e cable (or higher), reducing the need for a second power source.
Diagram showing power connection: Two diagrams illustrate connecting the power supply to either the sender or receiver, with a Cat 5e cable connecting them. The text indicates that only one device needs to be powered.
