1. Precautions

Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
14. Disconnecting from the mains: by switching off the POWER switch, all functions and indicators of the amplifier will stop, but complete disconnection of the apparatus is achieved by unplugging the power cord from its connector. For this reason, it must always be easily accessible.
15. The equipment is connected to a grounded outlet through the power cord.
16. Part of the product labeling is located on the bottom/rear of the unit.
17. This apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the apparatus.

1.3 Cleaning

To clean the apparatus, use only a soft, dry cloth or one slightly dampened with water and a neutral liquid detergent, then dry it with a clean cloth. Ensure that water never enters the apparatus through any opening. Never use alcohol, gasoline, solvents, or abrasive substances.

4. Description and Features

The VEO-XPS47 is an 18Gbps HDMI® extender kit that allows extending 4K 50Hz 4:4:4 video signals up to 70 meters with zero latency over a single Cat 5e or higher cable. It includes stereo audio extraction via an unbalanced Euroblock connector on both the transmitter and receiver, EDID management, IR signal extension, and bidirectional PoC support, making it a simple and cost-effective solution for professional extension applications.

5. Panel Functions

5.1 Transmitter: Front and Rear Panel

Front Panel:

• 1. EDID: This switch is used to select the EDID. In the right position, the extender will copy the EDID information from the output display of the HDMI® loop to the source; in the left position, the extender will copy the EDID of the receiver display to the source.
• 2. SERVICE: Micro-USB port for firmware updates and loading user-defined EDID.
• 3. AUDIO OUT: Unbalanced stereo audio extraction.

Rear Panel:

• 4. IN: HDMI® input connector.
• 5. CAT OUT: Connect to the receiver's input port using a Cat 5e or higher cable. Point-to-point connections only are permitted.
• 6. IR IN: 3.5mm jack to connect the IR receiver for IR command pass-through.
• 7. IR OUT: 3.5mm jack to connect the IR Blaster to extend an IR signal from the display to the source.
• 8. DC 12 V: Connect the included 12 VDC power supply to this port.

5.2 Receiver: Front and Rear Panel

Front Panel:

• 1. SERVICE: Micro-USB port for firmware updates and loading user-defined EDID.
• 2. OUT: HDMI® output connector. Connect to the final device (e.g., a 4K TV display).
• 3. AUDIO OUT: Unbalanced stereo audio extraction.

Rear Panel:

• 4. CAT IN: Connect to the receiver's input port using a Cat 5e or higher cable. Point-to-point connections only are permitted.
• 5. IR IN: Connect to the included IR receiver unit to extend an IR signal from the display to the source.
• 6. IR OUT: 3.5mm jack to connect the IR receiver for IR command pass-through.
• 7. DC 12 V: Connect this port to the included 12 VCC power supply.

6. Installation and Connections

Diagram: A diagram illustrates the connection of the transmitter to a video source (e.g., Blu-Ray player), an amplifier, and an IR Blaster. The receiver connects to a 4K TV, an amplifier, and an IR Receiver. Both units are connected via a Cat 5e or higher Ethernet cable. Power is supplied to one unit, with power sharing enabled.

Important Notes:

• High-quality Cat 5e (or higher) Ethernet cables are required to connect the transmitter and receiver to avoid connection problems and malfunctions. Shielded cables and connectors are mandatory to ensure a good ground reference for the receiver and to prevent electromagnetic interference along the cable.
• Insert and remove HDMI® cables with care.

Connection Steps:

1. HDMI® Input Signal: Connect the HDMI® device to the VEO-XPS47 transmitter.
2. HDMI® Destination Devices: Connect destination devices (4K or 1080p displays or projectors) to the HDMI® output connector of the VEO-XPS47 receiver.
3. IR Emitter: Connect the IR emitter to the IR-Out connector of the transmitter/receiver VEO-XPS47.
4. IR Receiver: Connect the IR receiver to the IR-In connector of the transmitter/receiver VEO-XPS47.

IR Blaster Connection:

5. Amplifier or Audio Device: Connect devices to the audio extraction connector of the VEO-XPS47 transmitter/receiver.

6. Transmitter and Receiver: Connect the transmitter and receiver using a Cat 5e or higher cable to the HDBaseT input and output RJ-45 connectors of the receiver and transmitter, respectively.

7. Power Up: Connect the 12V DC power supply to the transmitter or the VEO-XPS47 receiver. Note that only one of the two units needs to be connected to the power outlet for both to function.

Bidirectional power allows power sharing between the transmitter and receiver via a Cat 5e (or higher) cable, eliminating the need for a second power supply.
