Thank you for your purchase of Q-See's Q-Go HD vehicle camera. This device provides confidence and security by automatically recording your trips in full 1080p high definition.

Controls and Features

Front View:

  • Lens: Captures video footage.
  • IR LEDs (4): Infrared LEDs for low-light recording.
  • Attachment Point for Bracket: For mounting the camera.
  • Speaker: Outputs audio.
  • Microphone: Records audio.
  • LED Monitor: Indicates device status.
    • Red = Off, Charging
    • Pink = On, Charging
    • Pink/Blue = On, Recording

Bottom/Side View:

  • microSD Memory Card Slot: For inserting storage cards.
  • USB Port: For data transfer and charging.
  • HDMI Output: For connecting to a TV.
  • A/V Output: For audio/video output.
  • Reset Button: Resets the device.
  • [Power Button]: Turns the device on/off.
  • [Record/OK Button]: Starts/stops recording or confirms selections.
  • [Menu Button]: Accesses menus.
  • [Up Button]: Navigates up in menus.
  • [Down Button]: Navigates down in menus.
  • [Mode Button]: Switches between Video, Snapshot, and Playback modes.

Setup

Charge Battery

Use the included car charger or a USB cable connected to a powered USB port (computer or 5V USB charger) to charge the camera. The camera powers on and begins charging automatically. The internal battery provides approximately 10-15 minutes of charge, so keeping the camera plugged in is recommended.

Install microSD Card

The Q-Go HD supports microSD cards up to 32GB. A Class 10 card is recommended for best performance.

  • Insert the card into the [microSD Memory Card Slot] as shown. Do not force the card.
  • Inserting a card will overwrite any existing data.
  • Press gently on the card to eject it for removal.

Power On/Off

The Q-Go HD turns on and begins recording when connected to power (e.g., car charger with ignition on). To turn on manually, press and hold the [Power Button] for 1 second. The [Power/Recording Indicator LED] will glow solid pink. An alternating red/pink indicator signifies recording. To turn off, press and hold the [Power Button] for 3 seconds.

Setting Time

Correct time settings are crucial for accurate recording timestamps.

  1. Press the [Menu Button] twice to access the Setup menu.
  2. Use the [Down Button] to navigate to Date/Time.
  3. Press the [Record/OK Button] to select Date/Time.
  4. Use the arrow buttons and [Record/OK Button] to adjust fields and move between them.
  5. Press the [Menu Button] to exit.

Loop Recording

By default, recordings are saved in one-minute segments. This can be adjusted to two- or three-minute segments, or loop recording can be turned off entirely.

  1. Press the [Menu Button] once to access the Video menu.
  2. Use the [Down Button] twice to navigate to Loop Recording.
  3. Press the [Record/OK Button] to select Loop Recording.
  4. Use the arrow buttons to choose the desired segment length or to disable loop recording.
  5. Press the [Menu Button] to exit.

Pressing [Record/OK Button] returns you to the Video or Setup menu.

Other Video and Photo Settings

  • Resolution: 1080p/720p/480p (Video), VGA-12MP (Still)
  • Exposure: Adjusts brightness.
  • Motion Detection On/Off: Records when motion is detected.
  • Audio On/Off: Enables/disables audio recording.
  • Date Stamp On/Off: Adds date and time to recordings.
  • Anti-Shake: Stabilizes still photos.

Other Operational Settings

  • Auto Power Off: 0-5 minutes.
  • Beep Sound On/Off: Controls button feedback sounds.
  • Language: Selects the display language.
  • TV Mode: NTSC or PAL.
  • GSensor: On/Off. Detects impacts.
  • Screensavers: 0-3 minutes.
  • Frequency (light): 50/60Hz for lighting compatibility.
  • Parking Guard: On/Off. Wakes camera on impact when parked.
  • Format: Formats the microSD card.
  • Factory Reset: Resets all settings to default.
  • Version Info: Displays firmware version.

Additional Video Functions

  • Use the arrow buttons to adjust zoom.
  • Quickly press and release the [Power Button] to switch to night mode, activating infrared LEDs.

Special Features

  • GSensor: Detects impacts and locks the current video to prevent erasure.
  • Parking Guard: Uses the GSensor to record footage when an impact is detected while the vehicle is off, using battery power.
  • Motion Detection: Records video if movement is detected in front of the camera when the vehicle is off.

Snapshot Mode

  • Press the [Mode Button] to switch from Video to Snapshot mode.
  • Use the arrow buttons to zoom in or out on the subject.
  • Press the [Record/OK Button] to take a picture.

Playback Mode

This mode allows review of video and still photo files.

  • Press the [Mode Button] to enter Playback Mode.
  • Use the arrow keys to select the desired file.
  • Press the [Record/OK Button] to play back the file.
  • Press the [Menu Button] to delete or protect a file.

NOTE: Recording must be turned off before switching from Video Mode to Snapshot or Playback modes.

File Backup

  • Video files are saved in .AVI format.
  • Still images are saved in .JPG format.
  • When connected to a computer, the camera may appear as a removable drive. Pressing [Record/OK Button] might be required to enable this on some systems. Files can then be accessed normally.
  • On some systems (like Macintosh), you may need a full-size SD card adapter and a USB card reader to access files.

Video Playback on a TV

  • Connect the camera to an HDTV using an HDMI cable.
  • Select the correct input source on your television.
  • The camera can display live or recorded video.
