Installation & Clearance Notes
Proper installation ensures optimal performance and longevity. Adhere to the following clearances and guidelines:
- Rear Clearance: Allow a minimum of 1" for proper air circulation and water/electrical connections.
- Side & Top Clearance: Allow a minimum of 3/8" for ease of installation.
- Door Opening Clearance:
- For optimal 140° door swing (providing complete crisper access and removal), a 20" minimum clearance is recommended when the refrigerator is installed adjacent to a wall or cabinet that extends beyond the front edge of the unit.
- An absolute minimum clearance of 3" will only allow for a 90° door swing, which provides limited crisper access with restricted removal.
- When installing directly adjacent to a wall, ensure sufficient handle clearance is available for a 90° door opening.
- Environmental Conditions: Do not install in areas where temperatures drop below 55°F or rise above 110°F. Avoid direct sunlight or proximity to heat sources like ranges or dishwashers.
- Ventilation: The front grille must remain unobstructed for proper ventilation.
- Electrical Outlet: Recess the electrical outlet when possible.
- Water Supply:
- A water recess on the rear wall is recommended to prevent water line damage.
- Cold water line pressure must be between 30 and 100 psi.
- Copper tubing with 1/4" O.D. is recommended for the water supply line.
