Installation & Clearance Guidelines
Top View Diagram Description: Illustrates required clearances for installation. A 1-inch minimum clearance is needed at the rear for proper air circulation and connections. A 3/8-inch minimum clearance is required at the sides and top for ease of installation.
Door Opening Clearance: When installing adjacent to a wall, ensure sufficient handle clearance to allow for a 90° door opening. For optimal 140° door swing and complete crisper access, a 20-inch clearance from the front edge of the unit to an adjacent wall, cabinet, or appliance is recommended. A minimum 3-inch clearance will only allow for a 90° door swing, limiting crisper access.
Environmental Considerations: For optimal performance, avoid installation in areas with temperatures below 55°F or above 110°F. Do not install in direct sunlight or near heat sources like ranges or dishwashers. The front grille must remain unobstructed for proper ventilation.
Electrical & Plumbing: An electrical supply with a grounded three-prong receptacle on a dedicated 120V circuit is required, installed according to the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70) and local codes. A water recess on the rear wall is recommended to prevent water line damage. Cold water lines must provide 30-100 psi. Copper tubing (1/4" O.D.) is recommended for the water supply line.
Leveling: The floor must be a level surface of hard material capable of supporting the fully loaded refrigerator. Adjustable front rollers assist with door alignment.
