Installation & Usage Notes

Rear Clearance: Allow 1" minimum at the rear for proper air circulation and water/electrical connections.
Side & Top Clearance: Allow 3/8" minimum at the sides and top for ease of installation.
Wall Clearance: When installing directly adjacent to a wall, sufficient handle clearance is required where the handle may make contact with the wall, to allow for a 90° door opening.
Extended Clearance: For optimum 140° door swing (providing complete crisper access and removal), a 20" minimum clearance is recommended when the refrigerator is installed adjacent to a wall, cabinet, or other appliance that extends beyond the front edge of the unit. An absolute 3" minimum clearance will only allow for a 90° door swing, which provides limited crisper access with restricted removal.
Recessed Areas: Mentions the availability of recessed water line connections (for ice maker models only) and recessed electrical outlets.

General Installation Recommendations

Always consult local and national electric & plumbing codes.
The floor should be a level surface of hard material, capable of supporting the fully loaded refrigerator.
To ensure optimum performance, do not install in areas where temperature drops below 55°F or rises above 110°F. Avoid installing in direct sunlight or close proximity to a range, dishwasher, or other heat source.
The front grille must remain unobstructed for proper ventilation.
Recess the electrical outlet when possible.
Water recess on the rear wall is recommended to prevent water line damage.
Water Pressure: The cold water line must provide between 30 and 100 pounds per square inch (psi).
Copper tubing with 1/4" O.D. is recommended for the water supply line.
