Installation Instructions
-
Turn off the power before installation. Prior to drywall installation: Install shielded cable to accommodate electrical feed point on first fixture. Leave the protective film on the lift and shift diffuser and set aside. Unscrew LED tray from housing (screws will be on one side only). Tray will swing down to access the inside of the fixture.
Diagram Description: Shows the luminaire housing with the LED tray partially lowered, revealing the interior.
-
Remove 1/4" knockouts in top of housing. Remove access plate from fixture and Secure shielded cable to the 7/8" opening in the access plate for wire connections. Once attached, re-attach access plate and make wiring connections.
Diagram Description: Shows the top of the luminaire housing with knockouts removed, the access plate detached, and a flexible conduit with shielded cable being routed through the access plate opening.
-
Lift fixture to ceiling and use 1/2-20 bolts/screws to attach fixture to ceiling structure through 1/4" knockouts from step 2. Connect wiring from shielded cable to fixture wiring with wire nuts or push connectors. INDIVIDUAL FIXTURE INSTALLATION, SKIP TO STEP 8.
Diagram Description: Shows the luminaire being lifted and attached to the ceiling structure with bolts. A close-up shows wire connections being made.
-
FOR CONTINUOUS RUNS ONLY: For the next fixture in the row, align the open end without an exposed bracket with the open end of the already mounted fixture(s). Slide new fixture onto previously mounted fixture, ensuring the sheet metal at the bottom of the housing is captured by the hook at the bottom of the housing extrusion. Current fixture should be resting on support bracket from previously installed fixture.
Diagram Description: Shows two luminaires being joined together, with one sliding into the other, highlighting the alignment and interlocking mechanism.
-
Repeat steps 2-4, except the shielded cable attachment. NOTE: Securing fixture to ceiling is not required at joint to already mounted fixture. Internal brackets and previous fixture mounting will support fixture end.
Diagram Description: Shows a fixture being attached to a previously mounted fixture in a continuous run, emphasizing the joiner bracket connection.
-
Slide joiner bracket capturing joining tabs on each housing and fasten with #8-32 thread cutting screws. Fixture housing will pull together as screws are tightened. Repeat this step so joiner is applied to each side of housing.
Diagram Description: Close-up of the joiner bracket being slid into place and secured with screws, showing how it pulls the housings together.
-
Complete all wire connections using snap-in harness connector for black, white, green, purple, and pink wires. Any additional connections can be made with provided push-in connectors.
Diagram Description: Shows wire connections being made using snap-in connectors for various colored wires.
-
Swing Tray back into fixture and re-install screws. Remove protective film from the lift and shift diffusers and install into the fixture. Insert one side (long edge) up into the fixture far enough to get the other side into the fixture.
Diagram Description: Shows the LED tray being swung back into the housing, screws reinstalled, and diffusers being inserted.
NOTE: If lens remains at an angle, use the supplied suction cup near the end of the lens to pull the lens flat and position lens to eliminate any LED visibility.
