General Description

The TH600 is an Alctron D & R condenser recording microphone. Its 34mm large diaphragm capsule with a cardioid polar pattern delivers an eloquent and outstanding low-frequency sound quality. The microphone features a fashionable and concise fluting design that enhances its visual appeal. Additionally, the included metal shock mount contributes to the microphone's metallic aesthetic and helps reduce vibrations during recording.

Proximity Effect

Unidirectional microphones, such as the TH600, progressively boost bass frequencies by 6 to 10 dB below 100 Hz when the microphone is placed at a distance of approximately 6 mm (1/4 inch) from the sound source. This phenomenon, known as the proximity effect, can be utilized to achieve a warmer, more powerful sound.
