Chuango RT-101 Plug-in Wireless Signal Repeater

User Manual

Introduction

The repeater is a wireless signal relay transmission device. With MCU technology, it can decode the signal in the air and strengthen the transmitting power to extend the transmission distance range. Failure to receive signal to panel from wireless accessories is frequently happened due to the long distance range when the remote controlling or wireless alarm systems are applied to large scale of commercial tall buildings, villa, and industrial areas. This wireless signal repeater could solve this problem and further distance range signal transmitting could be achieved.

Product Overview

The device features an antenna, an interface for an external antenna, a power ON/OFF button, and a learning button. The learning button is used for pairing accessories.

Note: Please pull out the antenna for optimal performance.

Adding and Deleting Accessories

Before adding and deleting accessories, ensure the repeater is activated to 'connect status'. To activate connect status, turn the power button to 'ON'. If it is already in 'ON' mode, reboot the repeater by switching it from 'OFF' to 'ON'. The indicator light will then alternately flash between green and blue. Choose the following options to add or delete accessories:

Adding Accessories

First, press the 'Learning Button' on the repeater; you will hear a short beep. After that, trigger any accessory you wish to pair to the repeater (e.g., separate a door/window contact). If the repeater is successfully paired, a two-second length "beep" will sound, and the blue light will turn on, then alternately flash between blue and green. You may add more accessories by repeating these steps.

Note: If the repeater does not receive any signal within one minute, the pairing process will be canceled, and it will sound two beeps. If the repeater exits the connect status, switch it off and then on again to re-enter the connect status. Then repeat the above operation to add more accessories.

Deleting Accessories

To remove all paired accessories, press and hold the 'Learning Button' on the repeater for five seconds. The indicator light will turn blue. Wait two seconds until the light turns green with three beeps, indicating that all accessories have been successfully removed.

Extend Transmission Distance between Accessories and Control Panel

Workflow:

1. Trigger contact/detector or activate remote control.

2. Repeater receives signals.

3. Control panel receives signals.

Note: Max. distance (in open area) ≤ 80m for repeater to control panel, and ≤ 200m for accessories to repeater.

Extend Transmission Distance between Control Panel and Siren

First, press the 'Learning Button' upon the repeater; you will hear a short beep. After that, 'Arm' the control panel on the App if it is successfully paired. A two-second length 'beep' will sound with blue light on, and the light will alternately shine between blue and green. The transmission distance between the control panel and siren is therefore extended.

If the repeater does not receive any signal within 1 minute, the pairing process will be canceled, and it will sound two beeps.

Workflow:

1. Control panel arm/disarm/alarm.

2. Repeater receives signals.

3. Siren receives signals.

Note: Max. distance (in open area) ≤ 80m for control panel to repeater, and ≤ 200m for repeater to siren.
