Assembly Instructions

Getting Started

Before you begin assembly, ensure you have the necessary tools: a screwdriver ? and a measuring tape ?. It is recommended to assemble the product on a soft surface, such as a carpet, to avoid scratches. If you encounter any difficulties, please refer to the IKEA customer support.

Assembly Steps

Step 1: Insert Dowels

Insert 8 wooden dowels (101350) into the pre-drilled holes on the two main side frame structures. Ensure they are firmly seated.

Step 2: Attach Seat Support Rails

Attach the two seat support rails to the side frames using 4 bolts (100159). Tighten them securely with the provided Allen key (111631). The inset diagrams show the correct orientation for inserting the bolts.

Step 3: Insert Vertical Leg Supports (Part 1)

Insert the first set of vertical leg supports into the dowels on the side frames. Gently push them down to ensure a snug fit.

Step 4: Insert Vertical Leg Supports (Part 2)

Insert the remaining vertical leg supports into the corresponding dowel holes on the side frames.

Step 5: Attach Metal Brackets

Attach the 4 metal brackets (115983) to connect the leg supports to the seat support rails. Use screws (part numbers not explicitly specified in the diagram for this step) to secure the brackets. The diagrams show the unit upside down during this process.

Step 6: Attach Crossbars

Connect the crossbars between the vertical leg supports using 4 screws (109565). Ensure the crossbars are aligned correctly before tightening the screws.

Step 7: Position for Seat Attachment

Carefully turn the assembled base upside down. Place it on a flat surface, such as a table, with the top of the leg assembly facing upwards.

Step 8: Attach Seat Base

Place the seat base onto the top of the leg assembly. Secure the seat base using 4 screws (109048). Tighten these screws firmly with the Allen key (111631).

Final Product

The RÄVSTEN bar stool is now assembled. The final diagrams show the completed stool and a method for folding it for storage or transport.
