The new CS 68 18-EC cordless circular saw from FLEX
Steinheim, June 2025
Introduction
FLEX-Elektrowerkzeuge GmbH is expanding its portfolio of powerful hand-held circular saws with the new CS 68 18-EC cordless circular saw. This is a compact, robust, and powerful tool with numerous features designed to meet the daily requirements of the construction industry. Whether for cutting rafters in roof construction, precise panel processing in drywall construction, or repeatable longitudinal cuts in joinery, the new FLEX saw impresses with its efficiency, versatility, and ergonomics.
Compact Design - Powerful in Use
At the heart of the CS 68 18-EC is a powerful, brushless motor that enables a high cutting speed combined with long battery life. In combination with the optionally available 8.0 Ah battery (with 21,700 cells), the device achieves up to 17 percent greater cutting speed, making it ideal for powerful work under load. Up to 334 cuts in 38 x 89 mm pine wood are possible with one battery charge, which is perfect for timber construction professionals, carpenters, and roofers who need to rely on speed and endurance.
Robust, Light, and Precise
The magnesium protective hoods and base plate ensure durability and high stability, while also reducing the overall weight of the machine. This is a noticeable advantage for longer overhead applications or when working on scaffolding. For straight and splinter-free cuts, for example when laying OSB boards or installing partition walls, the CS 68 18-EC is compatible with two guide rail systems and offers integrated grooves for 90° and 45° cuts.
Flexibility for a Wide Variety of Applications
With a cutting angle of up to 56°, including preset angles of 0°, 22.5°, 45°, and 56°, complex mitre cuts can be carried out quickly and precisely. This is a real plus for carpenters and woodworkers. The clamping lever ensures comfortable and safe adjustment.
The supplied parallel stop enables parallel, precise, and repeatable cuts of up to 110 mm. This is particularly useful for carpenters and interior fitters when cutting mouldings, panels, or solid wood boards in series.
Well Thought Out Down to the Last Detail
The bright integrated LED light optimally illuminates the cutting area, which is helpful when working in poorly lit rooms or on construction sites with limited visibility. Additional comfort is provided by the rubberised handle, which offers a secure grip, and the robust rafter hook. The rafter hook can be used to temporarily stow the device quickly and safely, for example when working on ladders or roof surfaces.
Greater Safety and Cleanliness
The integrated spindle stop and the spanner stowed in the base plate make changing the saw blade quick and easy. A switch with a start-up lock ensures additional safety.
A suction hose (D27/D36 mm) or the supplied dust bag can be connected directly for clean working, efficiently removing any dust produced, especially when working indoors.
Conclusion
With the CS 68 18-EC, FLEX offers a cordless circular saw that combines clever details with true professional performance. It is ideal for craftspeople who value precision, reliability, and speed.
