Fast, Strong, and Compact: The New CS 68 18-EC Cordless Circular Saw from FLEX
Steinheim, June 2025
FLEX-Elektrowerkzeuge GmbH is expanding its range of powerful handheld circular saws with the new CS 68 18-EC cordless circular saw. This tool is compact, robust, and powerful, featuring numerous functions designed to meet the daily demands of the construction industry. Whether for sawing roof beams in roof structures, precise panel processing in drywall, or repeatable longitudinal sawing on joinery, the new saw from FLEX impresses with its efficiency, versatility, and ergonomics.
Compact Design Without Compromising Power
The heart of the CS 68 18-EC is a powerful, brushless motor that provides a high cutting speed and long runtime. Combined with an optional 8.0 Ah battery (with 21700 cells), the machine achieves up to 17 percent higher cutting speed, which is perfect for powerful work under load. Up to 334 cuts in 38 x 89 mm pine wood are possible on a single battery charge, making it ideal for professionals in wood construction, carpentry, and roofing who need to rely on speed and endurance.

Robust, Lightweight, and Precise
The magnesium protective guards and base plate ensure durability and high stability, while also reducing the machine's overall weight. This is a significant advantage for longer work periods with arms overhead or when working on scaffolding.
For straight and splinter-free cuts, such as when laying OSB boards or installing partition walls, the CS 68 18-EC is compatible with two guide rail systems and features integrated grooves for 90° and 45° cuts.

Flexibility for Various Applications
With a saw angle of up to 56°, including locking points at 0°, 22.5°, 45°, and 56°, even complex miter cuts can be performed quickly and accurately. This is a clear advantage for carpenters and others working with wood constructions. The tension lever allows for convenient and secure adjustment.
The included parallel fence enables parallel, precise, and repeatable cuts up to 110 mm. This is particularly practical for carpenters and interior designers for series production of moldings, panels, or solid wood boards.

Well-Thought-Out Down to the Smallest Detail
Thanks to the integrated powerful LED light, the cutting area is optimally illuminated, which is a great help when working in poorly lit rooms or on construction sites with limited visibility. The rubber-coated handle is comfortable to hold and provides a secure grip. The robust suspension hook can be used for quick and safe storage of the machine, for example, when working on ladders or roofs.

Improved Safety and Cleanliness
The integrated spindle stop and the key stored in the base plate allow for quick and easy saw blade changes. A switch with a lock-on function provides additional safety.
A dust hose (D27/D36 mm) or the included dust bag can be connected directly for clean work, especially for indoor applications, to effectively remove any dust generated.
Conclusion
With the CS 68 18-EC, FLEX offers a cordless portable circular saw that combines sophisticated details with truly professional performance. The machine is perfect for tradespeople who value precision, reliability, and speed.
