FLEX CS 68 18-EC Cordless Circular Saw: Fast, Strong, Compact
Steinheim, June 2025
FLEX-Elektrowerkzeuge GmbH is expanding its range of powerful handheld circular saws with the new CS 68 18-EC cordless circular saw. This compact, robust, and powerful tool is equipped with numerous functions and tailored to meet the daily demands of the construction industry. Whether for cutting beams in roof construction, precise processing of panels in drywall construction, or repeatable longitudinal cuts in carpentry, the new FLEX saw impresses with its efficiency, versatility, and ergonomics.
Compact Design - Powerful in Use
The heart of the CS 68 18-EC is a powerful brushless motor that enables both high cutting speed and long runtime. In combination with the optional 8.0 Ah battery (with 21,700 cells), the tool achieves a 17% higher cutting speed, making it ideal for intensive work under load. With a single battery charge, up to 334 cuts can be made on 38 x 89 mm pine wood – a perfect amount for professionals in timber construction, carpenters, and roofers who rely on speed and durability.

Robustness, Lightness, and Precision
The protective guards and magnesium guide plate not only ensure a long service life and high stability but also reduce the overall weight of the machine – a clear advantage for prolonged overhead work or scaffolding jobs. For straight, splinter-free cuts, such as when laying OSB panels or installing partition walls, the CS 68 18-EC is also compatible with two guide rail systems and offers integrated grooves for 90° and 45° cuts.

Flexibility for a Wide Range of Applications
With a cutting angle of up to 56°, including stops at 0°, 22.5°, 45°, and 56°, complex bevel cuts can also be made quickly and precisely – a clear advantage for the carpentry and timber construction sectors. The clamping lever ensures convenient and secure adjustment.
The included parallel stop allows for precise and repeatable parallel cuts up to 110 mm, which is particularly useful for carpenters and interior contractors when cutting moldings, panels, or solid wood boards in series.

Well-Designed Down to the Last Detail
Thanks to the clear integrated LED light, the cutting area is optimally illuminated, which is useful when working in poorly lit environments or on construction sites with limited visibility. Additional comfort is provided by the rubberized grip, which ensures a secure hold, and the robust beam hook, which can be used to quickly position the tool safely, for example, when working on ladders or roofs.
Greater Safety and Cleanliness
The integrated spindle stop and the wrench stored in the guide plate make blade changes quick and easy, while a safety switch with a lock-off button ensures increased safety.
For clean work, especially in interior finishing, a suction hose (D27/D36 mm) or the supplied dust bag can be directly connected to effectively remove generated dust.
Conclusion
With the CS 68 18-EC, FLEX offers a cordless circular saw that combines sophisticated details and truly professional performance – ideal for craftspeople who value precision, reliability, and speed.
