Suitable Model for Every Requirement

Depending on the intended use, FLEX customers can choose between these two specialists: an eccentric grinder with a 3 mm stroke for fine sanding, such as intermediate sanding of paint and fillers, or a grinder with a 5 mm stroke for higher abrasion when sanding wood, plaster, or metal.

Applications

The new FLEX ORE 150 18-EC cordless grinders are optimally suited for sanding lacquered surfaces, wood, plaster, fillers, and also for use on metal. The tools are particularly effective on sensitive surfaces such as lacquered wooden surfaces or in the automotive industry. They are also ideal for sanding fillers, paint, and for processing extremely soft wood.

Flexible Application Options

The electronics of both new models offer variable speed in four stages for work corresponding to material properties, maintaining constant speed using a tacho-generator, and a soft start.

Thanks to these versatile and sophisticated features, the new FLEX ORE 150 18-EC cordless grinders are ideal for a wide range of applications – from drywall construction and painting to carpentry and the automotive industry. Whether sanding drywall surfaces, processing wooden surfaces, or sanding painted car body parts: the tools deliver precise results corresponding to the material used and maximum efficiency in all areas.

Marking Explanation

Explanation of the markings on the tool: ORE stands for "Orbital Random Electronics," followed by the stroke specification (3 mm or 5 mm) and disc size (150 mm), supplemented by "18-EC" for 18-volt cordless technology with a brushless motor.

Professional Ergonomics

With its compact design, FLEX offers particularly lightweight and ergonomically optimized 18V cordless one-handed grinders in the ORE model series. Thanks to their compactness and low weight, both tools are also ideal for overhead work. The battery placement close to the tool body ensures optimal balance and significantly facilitates handling. The specially balanced design and ergonomically shaped handle with Softgrip insert ensure joint-friendly, low-vibration, and therefore fatigue-free work. The slightly angled sanding pad additionally supports greater shape stability. The beveled pad geometry provides effective edge protection and allows precise work even in difficult positions. FLEX Product Manager Ralf Paertmann emphasizes: "Thanks to the low construction height, you are close to the surface, which offers huge advantages, especially on vertical surfaces."

Dust-Free and Efficient

The FLEX Multihole-Pad hook-and-loop pad, with its precise hole arrangement and hook-and-loop fastening, ensures optimal fixation of the abrasive medium, thus enabling uniform and clean sanding. The multi-hole pad ensures excellent dust extraction and is suitable for all common abrasive media. The generated sanding dust is efficiently and completely extracted either via the extraction connection with a replaceable adapter or via the integrated dust collection bag. Internal components are additionally protected by dust-tight rubber seals.

"Long-Life" Disc Brake System

Another highlight is the "Long-Life" disc brake system, which prevents the sanding disc from overrunning, thereby preventing sanding marks. Costly rework is thus a thing of the past.

Powerful and Maintenance-Free Brushless Motors

The new FLEX 18 V ORE 150 18-EC cordless grinders are equipped with state-of-the-art brushless EC motors, characterized by exceptionally high efficiency, long service life, and low vibrations. Compared to conventional brushed motors, they offer up to 30% higher performance and up to ten times longer service life. Thanks to this technology, performance remains consistently high even during prolonged use.

Longer Operating Time

The FLEX 18 V cordless grinders are compatible with both 2.5 Ah and 5.0 Ah batteries. The proven Therma-Tech™ system significantly extends battery life, while the battery status indicator always informs about the current charge level. This means FLEX currently offers the best 18V batteries on the market – including the fastest charging technology.

Safety Features

All new FLEX cordless grinders are equipped with a switch with E-signal and rapid stop function, and intelligent circuit board monitoring for overload protection and constant speed. This not only maximizes safety during operation but also significantly extends the service life of the devices.
