2. Preparing Your Omni E28
2.1 Install the Omni Station
- Add floor cleaning solution to the Omni Station.
- Assemble the Portable Deep Cleaner onto the Omni Station.
- Position the detachable base by firmly pressing both sides. Ensure it is seamlessly connected to the Omni Station for smooth robot docking.
- Place the Omni Station in a location with a strong Wi-Fi signal and easy robot access. Recommended placement is against a wall on a hard, flat surface. Connect the power cable to the Omni Station and a wall outlet. The clean water tank's LED ring will light up white when connected to AC power. Maintain recommended clearances (e.g., 1.6 ft / 0.5 m sides, 3.28 ft / 1 m front) for optimal performance. Keep the Omni Station plugged in for successful infrared connection.
- Remove the clean water tank and fill it with clean water up to the MAX line. Do not use hot water.
- Reinstall the clean water tank and ensure both clean and dirty water tanks are securely locked.
2.2 Charge Your RoboVac
- Remove any foam blocks and protective films from the RoboVac.
- Connect the robot to the Omni Station. The RoboVac will power on and begin charging automatically.
2.3 Download the App
Download the eufy app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) to access all features. You can also scan the QR code in the Quick Start Guide. Create an account or log in, tap '+' to add the device, and follow in-app instructions for Wi-Fi setup.
2.4 Resetting Wi-Fi Connection
If you encounter connection issues, press and hold the Power and Charging buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds until you hear a voice prompt. The Wi-Fi connection will be reset, and the RoboVac's LED indicators will flash white rapidly. Follow in-app instructions to set up the Wi-Fi connection.

3.1 Important Tips Before Use
3.1.1 For RoboVac
- Remove power cords and small items (socks, toys, etc.) from the floor that could entangle the RoboVac.
- Fold carpet edges to prevent entanglement. Avoid cleaning high-pile carpets or carpets thicker than 0.83 in / 21 mm.
- Before mapping, place physical barriers in front of fireplaces and vents. Use the app to set virtual boundaries to prevent falls down stairs.
- Avoid vacuuming large amounts of water, as it may damage the device.
- RoboVac can climb objects lower than 0.83 in / 21 mm; remove these if possible.
- Anti-tip sensors prevent falls down stairs and steep slopes, but are less effective if dirty or on reflective floors. Use physical barriers or 'No-Go Zones' for potential fall areas.
3.1.2 For Portable Deep Cleaner
- Ensure the water tank is filled with clean water before cleaning fabrics. Do not use corrosive or flammable liquids.
- Do not use on delicate fabrics or surfaces sensitive to water or strong scrubbing. Test on a small, inconspicuous area first.
- Ensure the power cord is fully unwound and not tangled during use.
- After use, empty the dirty water tank and clean the spray nozzle and brush to prevent clogs.
- When returning the cleaner to the base station, ensure the hose is properly coiled to avoid damage.
3.2 Mapping
This feature helps your robot learn your home's layout for efficient cleaning. To maximize mapping accuracy:
- Open All Doors: Ensure all doors within the cleaning area are open for seamless access.
- Block Forbidden Areas: Use physical barriers for areas you don't want the robot to enter during mapping. These can be removed and replaced with virtual boundaries in the app later.
- Remove Obstacles: Clear toys, cables, or small furniture that could interfere with the robot's movement.
- Do Not Move the Base Station: The robot relies on the base station as a reference point for navigation and mapping. Moving it can disrupt the floor plan accuracy.
To start the mapping process, tap "Start" in the app.
3.3 Setting No-Go Zones and No-Mop Zones
Use the eufy app to set 'No-Go Zones' or 'No-Mop Zones' as restricted areas, eliminating the need for physical barriers. These are for dividing cleaning zones, not for isolating dangerous areas.
3.4 Cleaning Schedule
Schedule cleaning times via the eufy app. You can set times and customize schedules from Sunday to Saturday. This function is available only in the app. During 'Do Not Disturb' periods, the RoboVac will remain silent, and auto dust collection and voice notifications will be disabled.
3.5 Select Cleaning Mode
Start/pause cleaning or select your preferred cleaning mode via the eufy app. You can customize operating modes, duration, water level, suction level, and other settings for each mode.
3.5.1 Home Cleaning Mode
Tap "Start" in the eufy app. The RoboVac will depart from the Omni Station, automatically determine its cleaning route, and return to the Omni Station upon completion. Tap "Pause" in the app or press the power button on the RoboVac to pause cleaning.
3.5.2 Room Cleaning Mode
Your home is automatically divided into rooms in the eufy app. You can also customize room settings. The RoboVac will clean only the selected rooms and return to the Omni Station automatically. Enable this mode only after the RoboVac has created a map. It is recommended that the RoboVac starts cleaning a room from the Omni Station.
3.5.3 Zone Cleaning Mode
Set a specific cleaning zone and adjust its size in the eufy app. The RoboVac will clean only the selected zone.
4. Using the Mopping System
- Start cleaning. The RoboVac will vacuum and mop floors automatically. You can select between three water levels via the eufy app during mopping.
- Regularly empty and clean the dirty water tank to prevent mold or odors. Refer to the "Cleaning and Maintenance" section for instructions.
5. Using RoboVac with Alexa, Siri, or Google Assistant Compatible Devices
Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant are smart voice control devices that allow you to control your RoboVac using voice commands. Before you begin, ensure:
- RoboVac is connected to the Omni Station for sufficient power.
- RoboVac is connected to the eufy app.
- For Siri control, you have an iPhone or iPad with the latest iOS version.
To control RoboVac via Alexa, Siri, or Google Assistant:
- Click the top-left corner of the eufy app's main interface, then find "Smart Integrations" in the dropdown menu.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
6. Enabling / Disabling Child Safety Lock
Activate the child safety lock in the eufy app: More Settings > Safety Lock. When enabled, all buttons will be locked to prevent accidental operation or injury.
7. Using the Portable Deep Cleaner
7.1 Preparing the Portable Deep Cleaner
- Unplug the Omni Station, then remove the cleaner's cover and detach the cleaner from the Omni Station.
- Move the cleaner to the area needing cleaning, then connect it to a power source.
7.2 Starting Cleaning
- Remove the nozzle from its slot, then uncoil the water hose from the cleaner.
- Spray an appropriate amount of fabric cleaning solution onto the stain and let it sit for 1 minute.
- Press and hold the spray trigger to evenly apply water to the stained area (e.g., carpet, sofa, fabric). The cleaner will simultaneously vacuum up the water and dissolved stain. Use the brush to gently scrub the surface.
After cleaning, allow the cleaner to run for an additional 5 seconds before turning it off to help extract residual water from the hose.
7.3 Enabling Self-Cleaning Mode
After cleaning, press the self-cleaning button to automatically clean the interior of the hose and nozzle. The self-cleaning process lasts 5 seconds. Ensure the brush is in an upright position during this process.
7.4 After Use
- Unplug the cleaner. Coil the hose around the cleaner in two neat loops, then securely fasten the nozzle into its slot. Ensure the hose is not coiled too tightly to prevent deformation and ensure the cover closes properly.
- Carefully return the cleaner to the station, place the cover, and ensure it is securely seated in its slot. When returning the Portable Deep Cleaner to the station, remember to connect the Omni Station to a power source so the RoboVac can operate normally on its next use.
8. Cleaning and Maintenance
Unplug the device and disconnect the power adapter before cleaning and maintenance. All other repairs should be performed by an authorized service representative.
