2. Preparing Your Omni E28

Follow these steps to set up your Omni E28.

2.1 Install the Omni-Station

  1. Add floor cleaner to the Omni-Station.
  2. Mount the Portable Deep Cleaner onto the Omni-Station.
  3. Install the detachable base by pressing down firmly on both sides. Ensure it is correctly connected for proper robot docking.
  4. Place the Omni-Station in an area with a strong Wi-Fi signal and easy access for the robot. Recommended clearance: 1.6 ft (0.5 m) on sides, 3.28 ft (1 m) in front. Connect the power cable. The LED ring on the clean water tank will light up white when powered.
  5. Remove the clean water tank and fill it with clean water up to the MAX line. Do not use hot water.
  6. Reinsert the clean water tank, ensuring both tanks are securely locked for proper station function.

2.2 Charge Your RoboVac

  1. Remove foam blocks and protective film from the RoboVac.
  2. Connect the robot to the Omni-Station. It will power on and begin charging automatically.

2.3 Download the App

Download the eufy app for full functionality:

  1. Download from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android), or scan the QR code on the Quick Start Guide.
  2. Open the app, create an account or log in.
  3. Tap the '+' icon to add the device.
  4. Follow in-app instructions to configure Wi-Fi.

2.4 Reset the Wi-Fi Connection

If you encounter connection issues, reset the Wi-Fi:

3. Using Your Omni E28

Interface images are for illustration and may change with software updates. Refer to the actual app interface for the most accurate information.

3.1 Important Tips for Use

For RoboVac:

  • Remove power cables and small items (socks, toys, towels) from the floor that could entangle the RoboVac.
  • Fold carpet edges to prevent the robot from getting stuck. Avoid cleaning high-pile carpets or those thicker than 0.83 inches (21 mm).
  • Before mapping, place physical barriers in front of fireplaces or air vents that could damage the robot. For future use, set virtual boundaries in the eufy app to prevent falls down stairs or into hazardous areas.
  • Avoid vacuuming large amounts of water, as this can damage the unit.
  • RoboVac can climb objects less than 0.83 inches (21 mm) high; remove these if possible.
  • Anti-drop sensors help prevent falls, but are less effective if dirty or on reflective floors/carpets. Use physical barriers or 'No-Go Zones' for safety.

For Portable Deep Cleaner:

  • Fill the water tank with clean water before cleaning textiles. Do not use corrosive or flammable liquids.
  • Do not use on delicate textiles or surfaces that can be damaged by water or scrubbing. Test on an inconspicuous area first.
  • Ensure the PDC cord is fully extended and untangled during use.
  • Empty the dirty water tank after use and clean the spray nozzle and brush to prevent clogs.
  • When returning the Portable Deep Cleaner to the base station, ensure the hose is properly coiled to prevent damage.

3.2 Mapping

This feature helps the robot learn your home layout for efficient cleaning. For best results:

  • Open All Doors: Ensure all doors in the cleaning area are open for complete access.
  • Block Restricted Areas: Use physical barriers for areas you don't want the robot to enter during mapping. These can be replaced with virtual boundaries in the app later.
  • Remove Obstacles: Clear toys, cables, and small furniture that could block the robot or cause it to get stuck.
  • Do Not Move the Base Station: The robot uses the base station as a reference point; moving it can disrupt mapping accuracy.

To start mapping, tap 'Begin' in the app.

3.3 Set Up No-Go Zones and Mop-Free Zones

Use the eufy app to define 'No-Go Zones' or 'Mop-Free Zones' as restricted areas. This feature is for defining cleaning zones, not for isolating hazardous areas.

3.4 Schedule Cleaning Tasks

Schedule your RoboVac to clean at specific times using the eufy app. You can set custom schedules from Sunday to Saturday. The 'Do Not Disturb' mode keeps the RoboVac silent, disabling auto-dust collection and voice prompts.

3.5 Select Cleaning Mode

Start/pause cleaning or select a mode via the eufy app. You can customize settings like duration, water volume, and suction power for each mode.

3.5.1 House Cleaning Mode

Tap 'Begin' in the eufy app. The RoboVac will leave the Omni-Station and automatically determine the cleaning route. It returns to the Omni-Station upon completion. You can pause by tapping 'Pause' in the app or pressing the Power button on the RoboVac.

3.5.2 Room Cleaning Mode

Your home is automatically divided into rooms in the eufy app. You can customize room settings. The RoboVac will clean only selected rooms and return to the Omni-Station. This mode requires the robot to have created a map. It's recommended to start room cleaning from the Omni-Station.

3.5.3 Zone Cleaning Mode

Specify a cleaning zone and its size in the eufy app. The RoboVac will clean only the selected zone.

4. Using the Mop System

  1. Start cleaning: The RoboVac will vacuum and mop automatically. You can select one of three water levels via the eufy app during mopping.
  2. Empty and clean the dirty water tank regularly to prevent mold or odors. Refer to the 'Cleaning and Maintenance' section for instructions.

5. Using RoboVac with Alexa, Siri, or Google Assistant Compatible Devices

Control your RoboVac using voice commands with smart assistants like Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. Ensure:

  • RoboVac is connected to the Omni-Station for sufficient power.
  • RoboVac is linked to the eufy app.
  • For Siri control, you need an iPhone or iPad with a recent iOS version.

To set up voice control:

  1. Tap the top-left corner of the eufy app's main interface and find 'Smart Integrations' in the dropdown menu.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.

6. Activating / Deactivating Child Lock

Activate the child lock via the eufy app: More Settings > Child Lock. When activated, all buttons are locked to prevent accidental operation by children.

7. Using the Portable Deep Cleaner

7.1 Preparing the Portable Deep Cleaner

  1. Unplug the Omni-Station, remove the cleaner's cover, and detach the cleaner from the Omni-Station.
  2. Move the cleaner to the area to be cleaned and connect it to a power source.

7.2 Start Cleaning

  1. Remove the nozzle from its holder and unroll the water hose from the cleaner.
  2. Spray an appropriate amount of textile cleaner onto the stain and let it sit for 1 minute.
  3. Press and hold the spray trigger to apply water evenly over the stain (e.g., carpets, sofas). Use the brush to gently scrub the surface while the cleaner simultaneously vacuums up the water and stain.
  4. After cleaning, let the cleaner run for an additional 5 seconds before turning it off to allow the fan to expel remaining water from the hose.

7.3 Activate Self-Cleaning Mode

After cleaning, press the self-clean button to automatically clean the inside of the hose and nozzle. The self-cleaning process lasts 5 seconds. Ensure the brush is in an upright position during this process.

7.4 After Use

  1. Unplug the cleaner. Coil the hose around the cleaner in two even rounds and secure the nozzle in its holder. Ensure the hose is not coiled too tightly to prevent deformation.
  2. Gently place the cleaner back onto the station, replace the cover, and ensure it sits correctly in the groove.
  3. Remember to connect the Omni-Station to power after placing the Portable Deep Cleaner back on the station for the RoboVac to function normally on the next use.

8. Cleaning and Maintenance

Turn off the unit and unplug the power adapter before cleaning or maintenance. For optimal performance, clean and maintain the E28 regularly. Cleaning and replacement frequency depends on usage habits.
