How to Use Your Heating Pad
- Remove all protective wrap or packaging from product before use.
- Make sure Control Connector (C) is securely connected to the Heating Pad Connector (D). Push both parts together for a tight fit. Note: The connectors are keyed to fit only one way; align arrow and push together tightly (Figure 2C/D).
- Plug into 120V AC outlet.
- To turn on, press On/Off Button (Figure 3A). All control display segments will light up for a few seconds.
- When turned “On,” the LCD controller will automatically default to the Heat mode Selector. “L” will be displayed and indicates that the pad is set to the lowest heat setting.
- To select a different heat setting, press the Up and Down Adjustment Control arrows (Figure 3C). The Heat Mode Selector icon will appear for about 15 seconds. Choose from “L” (Low), 2-7 and “H” (High) settings for your personal comfort.
- To choose from a range of Auto-off times or a continuous ON setting (“STAY ON”), press the Auto Off Adjustment Selector (Figure 3B). The Auto Off icon will appear for about 15 seconds. Press up and down Adjustment Control Arrows (3C) to select desired Auto off duration. Note: The Auto Off time always defaults to “2 hrs” after the controller is turned off. Auto Off time ranges include: .5 (30 minutes), 1.0 hour, 1.5 hours, 2 hours, 3 hours, 4 hours and “STAY ON.”
- To operate heating pad continuously, without the Auto Off feature, choose the “Stay On” option in step 7. The Stay On icon will remain on display until another Auto-Off adjustment is made or unit is turned off. Please note: BURNS CAN OCCUR REGARDLESS OF CONTROL SETTING. CHECK SKIN UNDER PAD FREQUENTLY. Use extra caution during “Stay On” mode.
- The controller always defaults back to the Heat Selection mode after either Auto Off or Stay On selection has been made. If an Auto Off time is selected, the controller will turn off automatically after the selected time has elapsed, and the LCD will be turned off after about 15 seconds.
