Introduction

Congratulations on purchasing the Renue™ Tension Relieving Heat Therapy pad. This product is designed to provide soothing relief for tension and stress in the neck and shoulder area.

Important Safety Instructions

WARNING: This product contains magnets. Do not use if you have a pacemaker, ICD (implantable cardioverter defibrillator), or an internal insulin pump.

DANGER: To reduce risks of burns, electric shock, fire, and personal injury, use this product in accordance with the following instructions:

1. Read all instructions.
2. Do not use while sleeping.
3. Do not use on an infant or an animal.
4. This product is not to be used on or by an invalid, a sleeping or unconscious person, a person with diabetes, or a person with poor blood circulation.
5. Do not use on areas of insensitive skin.
6. Burns can occur regardless of control setting. Check skin under product frequently.
7. Do not use in an oxygen atmosphere.
8. Do not use pins or other metallic means to fasten this product in place.
9. Do not sit on or against or crush product. Avoid sharp folds.
10. Never pull this product by the supply cord.
11. Do not use the cord as a handle.
12. This unit should not be used by children without adult supervision.
13. Place product on top of and not under the part of the body needing heat.
14. Use this product only on a 110-120 volt AC circuit. Unplug when not in use.
15. Do not tamper with this product in any way.
16. There are no user-serviceable parts. If for any reason this product does not function satisfactorily, see warranty for consumer service information.
17. Do not use this product with liniment, salve, or ointment preparations. Skin burns could result.
18. Do not bend or pinch cord and do not use if cord is damaged.
19. Never leave the product unattended, especially if children are present.
20. Loop cord loosely when storing. Tight wrapping may damage cord and internal parts.
21. Save these instructions.

This product has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). This plug fits a polarized outlet only one way; if the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.

How to Use Your Renue™ Tension Relieving Heat Therapy Pad

The Renue™ Tension Relieving Heat Therapy pad is specifically designed to fit the neck and shoulder area. Drape it comfortably on your shoulders, ensuring the neck flap is properly in place. Weighted edges and integrated magnets help secure the pad.

Note: This product utilizes magnets to fasten at the neck area. Remove necklaces and other metal accessories that could become attached to these magnets.

Connecting and Operating

1. Plug the Control Connector securely into the Renue™ Connector. Ensure a tight fit, aligning the arrows.
2. Plug into a 120V AC electrical outlet.
3. To turn on, press the Push-Button. The Renue™ will not turn on until the Push-Button is pressed. If heat level indicators do not light up or stay on, ensure the plug and Control Connector are firmly connected. Unplug from the wall, re-check the connection, and plug back in.
4. Select from 4 heat settings by pressing the Push-Button successively to achieve the desired heat level. To turn OFF, scroll through the remaining heat settings by pressing the Push-Button sequentially.
5. Allow the Renue™ to preheat for several minutes. The pad is designed to meet maximum heat output according to UL Standards.

Note: A blinking red "High" light indicates an error. Unplug the unit, check the cord's condition, the AC outlet function, and the connection between the connector and the pad. If the blinking light persists, discontinue use and contact Consumer Services.

Auto-Off Feature

The controller includes an Auto-Off feature designed to conserve energy. It automatically turns off after 2 hours of continuous use. A blinking red Auto-Off light indicates this feature has activated. After a power outage, the Auto-Off timer resets.

Using Moist Heat Therapy

For enhanced comfort and tension relief, moist heat therapy can be used. Protect furniture and clothing from becoming damp.

Figure 2 Description: Shows how to dampen the Renue™ pad. It depicts using a wet sponge or cloth to pat the surface, or a spray bottle to apply a fine mist. It explicitly states not to thoroughly soak the pad or dampen the connector.

1. Dampen one side of the Renue™ pad by patting the surface with a wet sponge or cloth, or use a spray bottle to apply a fine mist. Do not thoroughly soak the pad.
2. Do not spray or dampen the connector.

DANGER: Do not immerse the Renue™ pad or connector in water or place under running water. Failure to comply may result in product failure and/or personal injury.

Note: The electrical connector must be thoroughly dry before establishing an electrical connection.

Washing Instructions

DO NOT DRY CLEAN! DO NOT USE BLEACH! DO NOT USE WRINGER!

1. Disconnect the Renue™ pad from the outlet.
2. Detach the Renue™ Connector from the Control Connector.
3. Machine wash the Renue™ pad in cold water on a gentle cycle, or hand wash.
4. Tumble dry on low heat or line dry.
5. Do not plug in the Renue™ pad until the pad connector is completely dry.

2-Year Limited Warranty

Sunbeam Products, Inc. (doing business as Jarden Consumer Solutions) warrants this product for a period of two years from the date of purchase to be free from defects in material and workmanship. JCS will, at its option, repair or replace the product or any defective component. Replacements will be with new or remanufactured products/components, or a similar product of equal or greater value if the original is unavailable.

This warranty is exclusive. Do NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions, as this will void the warranty.

The warranty is valid for the original retail purchaser from the date of initial purchase and is non-transferable. Proof of purchase (original sales receipt) is required for warranty service.

This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or damage resulting from negligent use, misuse, use on improper voltage/current, use contrary to operating instructions, disassembly, repair, or alteration by unauthorized personnel. It also does not cover Acts of God (fire, flood, hurricanes, tornadoes).

Limits on JCS's Liability: JCS is not liable for incidental or consequential damages. Implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose are limited to the duration of this warranty. JCS disclaims all other warranties. JCS is not liable for damages resulting from purchase, use, misuse, or inability to use the product, including lost profits. Some jurisdictions may not allow limitations on incidental/consequential damages or implied warranty duration.
