Quick Start Guide
Introduction
Please read the accompanying safety instructions before the first use.
Install Home Connect
Tip: Connect the appliance to a mobile device. With the Home Connect App, you can conveniently perform all settings.
- Scan the following QR code [QR code] to download the Home Connect app and connect your appliance.
- Follow the instructions in the Home Connect app.
Water Hardness Settings
The following is an overview of the water hardness values that can be set. A table with country-specific units can be found in the full manual.

Setting the Water Softener System
- Press the [Settings/Setup] button.
- Open the machine settings by pressing and holding the [Setup] button for 3 seconds. The [✔] indicator will flash.
- Press the [Start] button multiple times until the appropriate water hardness level is set. The LEDs 0, 1, 2, or 3 will illuminate.
- Save the settings by pressing and holding the [Setup] button for 3 seconds.
Filling Special Salt
Prevent machine damage by filling the special salt reservoir only shortly before program start.
- Unscrew and remove the reservoir lid.
- For the initial start-up: Fill the reservoir completely with water.
- Fill the special salt into the reservoir. The water in the reservoir is displaced and flows out. Never add detergent.
- Replace the reservoir lid and screw it on tightly.
Note: Use the funnel [funnel] provided.
Filling Rinse Aid
- Press the tab on the rinse aid reservoir lid and lift it up.
- Fill the rinse aid up to the max marking.
- Close the rinse aid reservoir lid. The lid will audibly click shut.
Filling Detergent
- Fill the detergent into the dry detergent compartment.
- Close the detergent compartment lid. The lid will audibly click shut.
How it Works
- Load the dishes. Only wash items suitable for dishwashers. Remove coarse food scraps from the dishes. Ensure the spray arms can rotate freely.
- Fill with detergent.
- Start the machine.
- Set the program.
- Start the program.
- Remove the dishes after the program has finished.
- Cancel the program by pressing and holding the [Reset] button for approximately 4 seconds. The program will be cancelled and will finish after about 1 minute.
Program Overview
Program data are laboratory measurements according to the European standard EN 60436. Consumption values are guideline values (except for Eco) and depend on the selected program and the selected extra function. If the rinse aid system is switched off or no rinse aid is present, the running time will change.

Cleaning Filters
- After each wash, check that no residues remain in the filters.
- Turn the coarse filter counter-clockwise and remove the filter system.
- Pull the microfilter off downwards.
- Press the locking tabs together and lift the coarse filter upwards.
- Clean the filter elements under running water.
- Reassemble the filter system.
- Insert the filter system into the machine and turn the coarse filter clockwise. Ensure the arrow markings align.
Cleaning Spray Arms
- Unscrew the upper spray arms and pull them off downwards.
- Pull the lower spray arm off upwards.
- Check the spray arm nozzles under running water for blockages and remove any foreign objects if necessary.
- Reinsert the lower spray arm. The spray arm will audibly click into place.
- Reinsert the upper spray arms and screw them on.
Cleaning the Drain Pump
- Make the unit power-free.
- Remove the filter system.
- Mop up any remaining water.
- Pry off the pump cover using a spoon and grip it by the handle.
- Lift the pump cover inwards at an angle and remove it.
- Remove food residues and foreign objects around the impeller.
- Insert the pump cover and press it down. The pump cover will audibly click into place.
- Reassemble the filter system.
Troubleshooting
Food residue on dishes
- Cause: Dishes are too close together or the dishwasher basket is overfull.
- Solution: 1. Load dishes with sufficient space between them. Spray jets must reach the dish surfaces. 2. Avoid placing them against each other.
- Cause: Spray arm rotation is blocked.
- Solution: Load dishes so that spray arm rotation is not obstructed.
- Cause: Spray arm nozzles are blocked.
- Solution: Clean the spray arms.
- Cause: Filters are dirty.
- Solution: Clean the filters.
Removable streaks on glass
- Cause: Dishes are inserted incorrectly and/or have not clicked into place.
- Solution: 1. Insert filters correctly. 2. Click filters into place.
- Cause: A program that is too weak has been selected.
- Solution: Select a more powerful wash program.
- Cause: Rinse aid dosage is set too high.
- Solution: Set the rinse aid system to a lower level.
- Cause: No rinse aid has been filled.
- Solution: Fill with rinse aid.
Rust spots on cutlery
- Cause: Cutlery is not sufficiently rust-resistant. Knife blades are often more affected.
- Solution: Use rust-resistant dishes.
- Cause: Cutlery also rusts when rusting items are washed at the same time.
- Solution: Do not wash items that rust.
Detergent residue in the detergent compartment or tablet collection tray
- Cause: Spray arms are blocked by dishes and the detergent is not being rinsed out.
- Solution: Ensure that the spray arms are not blocked and can rotate freely.
All LEDs are lit or flashing, or the wash program does not continue
- Cause: The electronics have identified a fault.
- Solution: Press and hold the main switch for approximately 4 seconds. The machine will reset and restart.
