SharkClean™ App Setup

Download and Connect

Download the latest version of the SharkClean app from the App Store or Google Play store. Follow in-app instructions to connect to your robot.

Connection Requirements

  • Ensure your Wi-Fi router supports a 2.4 GHz network.
  • Have your Wi-Fi network name and password ready.

Troubleshooting Wi-Fi Connection

If you cannot connect to Wi-Fi:

  • Turn the robot's power switch OFF, then ON again.
  • Reboot your router by unplugging its power cable for 10 seconds and plugging it back in. Allow several minutes for the router to fully reboot.

Maintenance

Caution: Turn off power before performing any maintenance.

Emptying the Dust Bin

Empty the dust bin after each use. Press the Dust Bin Release Button, slide out the dust bin. Press and hold the lid release button while lifting the lid. Empty debris into trash. Clean hair/debris from the Anti-Tangle Comb on the back of the dust bin.

Cleaning the Filter

Clean the filter every week. Replace the filter every two months. Lightly tap the filter to remove dust and debris. Reinsert the filter into the dust bin.

Cleaning the Multi-Surface Brushroll

The brushroll requires occasional maintenance and should be replaced every 6 to 12 months or when visibly worn. To clean: Push up on the tabs of the brushroll access door, lift it off. Lift out the brushroll. Remove the blue cap on the end (do not let the metal cylinder fall out). Clean hair or debris from the brushroll and cap. Reinstall the brushroll, flat end first. Close the door until it clicks. If the metal cylinder falls out, reinsert it into the cap.

Cleaning Sensors and Charging Pads

Clean sensors and charging pads periodically with a dry cloth or cleaning brush. The robot uses cliff sensors to avoid stairs; dirty sensors can reduce effectiveness. Clean sensors regularly for best results.

Cleaning the Wheels

Remove and clean the front caster wheel every week; replace it every 12 months. Pull the wheel from its housing and remove debris. Clean the drive wheel housing by rotating the wheel while dusting. Reinsert the caster wheel.

Replacing the Battery

Turn the unit over, unscrew the battery cover with a Phillips-head screwdriver. Unplug the old battery and plug in the new one. Replace the cover and screw it back in. Batteries are replaceable only by skilled persons.
