Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the Westek RGB and adjustable white WiFi enabled light strip. This product allows adjustment from 16 colors using the included remote, or pairing to WiFi for up to 16 million colors or adjustable white from 3000K to 5000K. The lights can be controlled with the Westek app, and can be set to wake users with a soft glow, slowly ramping up to full brightness. Integration with Alexa or Google Assistant is also supported for voice control.

Important Safety Instructions

- Consult a licensed electrician if you have any concerns about the installation of this product.
- Unplug the system before performing any maintenance.
- Secure cords using only insulated staples or plastic ties.
- This product is not intended for recessed installation in soffits or ceilings.
- The National Electrical Code (NEC) prohibits concealing cords where insulation damage may go unnoticed. To prevent fire danger, do not run cords behind walls, in ceilings, soffits, or cabinets where they are inaccessible for examination. Cords should be visually inspected periodically and replaced immediately if damage is observed.
Read and understand all instructions fully before beginning installation. Failure to do so may result in fire, injury, or product damage. Keep the supplied instruction manual for future reference during installation or maintenance.
- This strip light can be cut to length and reconnected to fit custom installation spaces.
- Always refer to the technical data provided for each product.
- Never operate the strip light while it is coiled on the packing reel, as excess heat may damage the strip.
- Do not use this strip light in areas with a risk of explosion, or near flammable liquids or gases. Keep away from curtains, draperies, or other combustible materials.
- This light has no replaceable bulbs.
- For indoor use only. Do not expose to direct sunlight.
- Danger of eye damage: Do not look directly into the LEDs while they are lit.
- This is a Class III device, powered by an isolated 12V power supply.
- Use this light strip only with the provided power supply.
- Dispose of waste electrical products in compliance with local regulations.
Installation
- Choose Mounting Location: For best results, ensure the surface is clean, dry, and smooth. (See Figure 1)
- Measure and Assemble: Measure for desired placement and assemble your lights before installing. (See Figure 2)
- The maximum total length for strips connected to a single supply is one length of one tape light.
- Never electrically connect two light strips that have separate power supplies, as this can damage the lights and pose a risk of fire or injury.
- Cut Strip: Only cut the light strip at the designated points marked with scissors. (See Figure 3)
- When assembling, ensure all connections are secure before plugging in the transformer.
- Adhere Strip: After testing the assembled light, peel the release liner from the rear of the light and firmly press the adhesive side of the light to the surface. It is recommended not to peel the entire release liner off at once. (See Figure 4)
- Connect and Power: Connect the light strip and power supply to the WiFi controller. Plug into a wall outlet in compliance with local regulations. (See Figure 5)

WiFi Pairing
Upon first power-on, the light may flash to indicate it has entered pairing mode. If the light is not flashing and you wish to enable pairing mode, unplug and re-plug the light strip three times until it begins to flash rapidly. The device may time out after 3 minutes if WiFi pairing is not completed. To restart the process, unplug and re-plug the light strip three times until it enters pairing mode again.
Download the WESTEK app from Google Play or the App Store, or scan the provided QR code (not included here). After registering and creating your account, click "Add Device".
Ensure WiFi is enabled on your device. This is used to pair the device and transfer your WiFi information, simplifying the setup process.
Note: Requires a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi Network. The lights are not compatible with 5GHz wireless networks.
Ensure you are connected to the same WiFi network you intend to use with the device. When ready, click "Auto Scan" to search for your new device. Select "Under Cabinet Light" from the list (it may appear as "Westek WiFi Tape Light - RGBCCT").
WiFi Operation
In the Westek app's main screen, you will have direct access to a power button on the product page. Click the power button to enable/disable the product directly, or click the product name to open its full menu. Four operating modes are available: Adjustable White, Color, Scene, and Music. Tap the name of the desired operating mode.
Adjustable White Mode
In white mode, adjust brightness using the slider (1% to 100%) and adjust color temperature from 3000K to 5000K using the adjustable color wheel.
Color Mode
In color mode, adjust brightness using the slider indicated by the [brightness icon] and adjust color saturation using the slider indicated by the [saturation icon]. The adjustable color wheel allows selection of any desired color by sliding your finger to adjust brightness and color saturation.
Scenes
Scenes allow selection from eight preset modes: night, read, working, leisure, soft, colorful, dazzling, and gorgeous. Tapping the edit button next to the main image allows renaming the scene, adjusting the flash mode (static, flash, or breathe), and setting the mode speed. Tap "Submit" to save changes.
Music Mode
Switch to music mode for parties. The light strips feature a built-in microphone; the audio-sensitive mode reacts to sound and music pulse, changing colors to the beat.
Sleep Timer
The timer function allows scheduling a fixed duration for the lights to remain on. Select "Tap Timer" and choose the desired hours and minutes until the light automatically shuts off.
Schedule
On the Schedule page, program specific on/off times and scenes for your lights by day of the week. For example, wake up to a dim orange glow, ramp up to maximum brightness at 5000K at noon, and fall asleep to a gentle 3000K nightlight.
Power Button
Tap to turn the lights on/off.
