Installation Guidelines
The following describes installation requirements based on room size and ducting configurations:
Heater: Not Ducted
Scenario 1: Large Room
Room size: Larger than 700 ft³ (e.g., 7' x 10' x 10').
Requirements: No additional ventilation needed.
Scenario 2: Smaller Room
Room size: Smaller than 700 ft³ (e.g., 7' x 10' x 10').
Requirements: Full louvered door OR two louvers (top and bottom). See below.
Scenario 3: Small Closet Installation
Requirements:
- Air gap under door equal to 18 square inches (0.75 inches clearance).
- Louver must be located the same height on the door as the air exhaust on the heater.
- Heater air exhaust must be positioned towards the louver within one foot of the door.
Diagram Note: Illustrates a 0.75 inch clearance under the door and a 12 inch maximum distance from the heater air exhaust to the door louver.
Heater: Ducted Installation
Scenario 4: Ducted with Inlet OR Outlet Duct
Room size: Any size room.
Requirements: Air gap under door equal to 18 square inches (0.75 inches clearance).
Scenario 5: Ducted with Inlet AND Outlet Duct
Room size: Any size room.
Requirements: No additional ventilation needed.
