Before You Begin
This cleaner is designed for domestic household cleaning to remove DRY dirt and dust from carpets, flooring, and fabrics. It is not suitable for industrial use or collecting materials like vitreous building material, wood/fibres, cement, fillers, fibre glass, or excessive sand, as this may harm the cleaner and void the warranty.
Important Safety Precautions:
- Always switch off and unplug the cleaner from the electricity supply before cleaning, when not in use, or performing maintenance.
- Connect only to an AC supply matching the voltage on the rating plate.
- Never operate the vacuum cleaner without filters installed.
- Keep the cleaner away from heaters, radiators, and hot surfaces.
- Ensure hands are dry before plugging into the wall socket.
- Remove large or sharp objects from the floor before cleaning to prevent damage to the filter.
- To unplug, gently pull the plug from the socket, not the power cable.
- If the air inlet, floor head, or telescopic tube become blocked, switch off immediately, disconnect from mains power, clear the blockage, and then restart.
Warnings
- Do not leave the charger connected to mains power when not in use. Disconnect from power before maintenance.
- Do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces to reduce the risk of electric shock.
- This appliance is not a toy. Do not allow children to use it unattended.
- Use only as described in this manual.
- Do not use if the power cable or plug appears damaged. Return to a Hoover service agent if the cleaner is not working correctly, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water.
- Do not pull or carry the appliance by the power cable, use the power cable as a handle, or pull it around sharp edges or corners. Avoid running the appliance over the power cable.
- Keep the appliance away from heated surfaces.
- Unplug the charger by grasping the plug, not the power cable.
- Do not handle the appliance and/or power cable with wet hands.
- Ensure all openings and entry points are clear of objects or blockages before use.
- Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.
- Do not use with or near combustible liquids (e.g., gasoline, hot ashes, cigarettes, matches) or in areas where such substances may be present.
- If the power cable is damaged, return to a Hoover service agent to avoid a hazard.

Connecting the Vacuum Cleaner:
Assembling or Removing the Hose:
Assembly: Insert the flexible hose into the hose inlet on the front of the vacuum cleaner. Press until it clicks into position.
Removal: Unplug the cleaner from the power socket. While pressing the release buttons, gently pull the hose to detach it from the air intake duct.
Fitting the Telescopic Tube and Floor Head:
Gently insert the telescopic tube into the top of the floor head. The adjustable floor head is suitable for cleaning carpets and hard floors.
Maintenance
Changing the Dust Bag:
- Always operate the cleaner with a dust bag installed.
- If the dust bag is not attached correctly, the dust cover may not close completely.
- Steps:
- Unplug the cleaner.
- Remove the hose.
- Open the front cover by gently lifting the release button.
- Rotate the dust bag support to the correct position.
- Remove the old dust bag.
- Replace with a new dust bag.
- Close the cover by pressing down until it is securely locked.
Cleaning and Changing the Filter:
- Ensure the cleaner is disconnected from the mains power when performing maintenance.
- The filter should be cleaned at least twice a year or when dirt is visible.
- Always operate the cleaner with the filter installed to prevent motor damage and maximize performance.
- Do not use a washing machine or hair dryer to clean or dry the filter.
- Steps:
- Unplug the cleaner.
- Remove the hose.
- Open the front cover by gently lifting the release button.
- Rotate the dust bag support to the correct position.
- Remove the dust bag.
- Pull the filter supporter outward.
- Gently remove the filter.
- Rinse the filter in lukewarm water and dry it completely before reinstalling.
- Replace with a new filter if necessary, ensuring it is securely inserted.
- Replace the dust bag and close the cover by pressing down until it is securely locked.

Conditions of Warranty
Hoover cleaners used for domestic purposes are covered by a one-year parts and labour warranty against product defects and failures, provided the product is used in accordance with the warranty terms. This warranty is non-transferable and valid only in the country of purchase. Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.
The cleaner must be used only for domestic household cleaning of DRY dirt and dust. Use for industrial purposes or for collecting inappropriate materials (e.g., vitreous building material, cement, excessive sand) may void the manufacturer's warranty.
Accessories and consumables, such as dust bags and filters, are not covered by this warranty unless defective in manufacture. Regular care and maintenance are recommended to prolong their life.

Hoover Floorcare reserves the right to repair or replace the cleaner at its own cost. Repairs must be carried out by an authorized Hoover Service Agent using genuine parts. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, alterations, improper installation, physical abuse, misuse, or accidental damage. Transportation costs for warranty repairs are the claimant's responsibility.
Work performed without proof of purchase will be chargeable. The warranty period is not extended by repairs or replacements.
The benefits of this warranty are in addition to rights provided by the Competition and Consumer Act and other relevant laws. Under the Australian Consumer Law, consumers are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for other foreseeable loss or damage. Goods are also entitled to repair or replacement if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
