Product Overview

Hoover Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner

Main Unit Components:

  • Ergonomic Handle (L): The upper part of the vacuum for holding and maneuvering.
  • Main Unit (K): Contains the motor, dust container, and controls.
  • Power Regulation Button (A): Controls the power settings.
    • A1: OFF Position
    • A2: HARD FLOOR Position (Agitator and nozzle LED lights OFF)
    • A3: CARPET Position (Agitator and nozzle LED lights ON)
  • LED Display (H): Shows battery level and charging status.
  • Charge Plug (I): Port for connecting the charger.
  • Charger (J): Connects to the appliance and power outlet.
  • Dust Container (F): Collects dirt and debris.
  • Release Button (E): Used to detach the dust container.
  • Filter Assembly (B, C, D): Inner filter (B), Sponge (C), and outer filter (D) for air purification.
  • Agitator Cover Lock (M): Secures the agitator cover.
  • Agitator Cover (N): Protects the agitator.
  • Agitator (O): Rotating brush for cleaning carpets and floors.
  • Nozzle LED (G): Lights up the cleaning area.

Preparing Your Cleaner

Initial Charging

For first use, charge the cleaner for 24 hours. Subsequent charges typically take 6 hours.

The LED display (H) will blink while charging and remain lit when fully charged.

Note: Use only the supplied charger. Ensure the Power Regulation Button (A) is OFF during charging.

It is normal for the charger to become warm during charging.

Using Your Cleaner

Operation Modes

Turn the cleaner on by sliding the power regulation button (A):

  • HARD FLOOR (A2): Agitator and nozzle LED lights are OFF.
  • CARPET (A3): Agitator and nozzle LED lights are ON.

Charging and Power Indication

The LED display (H) provides battery status:

  • Battery Level Indicator: 3 points = full charge, 2 points = 2/3 charge, 1 point = 1/3 charge.
  • Discharge Indicator: Flashes for approximately 20 seconds when batteries are fully discharged before the cleaner automatically turns off.

Instructions for Safe Use

This appliance is intended for domestic cleaning only, as described in this guide. Ensure the guide is fully understood before operation.

Always switch off and remove the charger from the socket before cleaning or performing maintenance.

Children aged 8 and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, may use the appliance under supervision and with instruction on safe usage and hazards.

Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance by children require supervision.

If the power cord is damaged, stop use immediately. Replacement must be done by an authorized Hoover service engineer.

Keep hands, feet, loose clothing, and hair away from rotating brushes.

Use only the original charger supplied with the appliance.

Verify your supply voltage matches the charger specifications (e.g., 230V UK/240V socket outlet).

When charging, the power switch must be OFF.

Do not unplug the charger by pulling the power cord.

Unplug the charger during prolonged absence. Recharge the appliance before use after long storage periods as batteries may self-discharge.

Battery Disposal: Batteries must be removed before disposing of the appliance. Disconnect from mains supply when removing batteries. Dispose of batteries safely at a recycling station, not with household waste.

Do not expose batteries to temperatures above 40°C.

Use only Hoover-recommended attachments, consumables, or spares.

Static Electricity: Static discharge from carpets is not hazardous to health.

Do not use outdoors, on wet surfaces, or for wet pick-up.

Do not pick up hard or sharp objects, matches, hot ashes, cigarette ends, or similar items.

Do not spray or pick up flammable liquids, cleaning fluids, aerosols, or their vapours.

Do not run over the power cord or unplug by pulling the cord.

Do not use if the appliance or charger appears faulty.

Hoover Service: For safe and efficient operation, servicing and repairs should only be performed by an authorized Hoover service engineer.

Do not use the appliance to clean animals or people.

Cleaner Maintenance

Emptying the Dust Container

  1. Press the release button (E) and lift the dust container (F) from the main unit (K). [3]
  2. Open the dust container and rotate the filter counter-clockwise. [4,5]
  3. Rotate the inner filter counter-clockwise, remove the sponge (C) from the inner filter. Empty the dust container into a bin. [7]
  4. Reassemble the filter to the dust container.
  5. Reassemble the dust container to the main body. [3]

Cleaning the Filter

  1. Press the release button (E) and lift the dust container (F) from the main unit (K). [3]
  2. Open the dust container and rotate the filter (D) counter-clockwise.
  3. Rotate the inner filter (B) counter-clockwise, remove the sponge (C). Wash the inner filter and sponge in lukewarm water. Leave to dry for 24 hours. Once dry, return to the dust container. [8,9]
  4. If needed, wash the dust container in lukewarm water. Ensure it is fully dry before returning to the main unit.
  5. Reassemble the filter to the dust container.
  6. Reassemble the dust container to the main unit.

Note: Do not use hot water or detergents for cleaning filters. If filters are damaged, fit a genuine Hoover replacement. Do not operate without a filter.

Important: For optimal performance, keep filters clean. Wash filters at least once a month.

Changing and Cleaning the Agitator

Note: To remove the agitator (O), switch the agitator cover lock (M) to the unlock position and pull away the agitator cover (N) from the nozzle chassis. [10,11,12]

Important: Turn off the cleaner before changing the agitator.

  1. Using a coin, turn the lock (M) to the unlock position. [10]
  2. Remove the agitator cover (N). [11]
  3. Remove the agitator (O). [12]
  4. Replace with a new agitator or clean the existing one. It fits in only one direction. [12]
  5. Reassemble the agitator cover and lock it with the coin.

Battery Replacement

Lithium-Ion batteries must be replaced by a Hoover Service engineer for safety reasons. Contact Hoover Customer Service Centre for battery replacement if charge is not maintained.

End of Product Life Battery Disposal

Batteries must be removed before disposal. Used batteries should be taken to a recycling station and not disposed of with household waste.

Important: Fully discharge batteries before removal and ensure the charger is unplugged.

  1. Run the unit until batteries are completely empty.
  2. Remove one screw and open the unit.
  3. Remove the battery package and disconnect cables.
  4. Remove batteries from the housing.

Note: For difficulties with dismantling or for more information on treatment, recovery, and recycling, contact your local city office or waste disposal service.

Troubleshooting

Follow this checklist before contacting Hoover Customer Service Centre:

A. Cleaner can't be turned on

Check if the cleaner is charged.

B. Loss of suction or no suction

Empty the dust container and wash the filter.

Remove nozzle and check for blockages in the duct.

C. Batteries cannot be charged

This may occur after very long storage periods (over half a year).

Contact Hoover customer service to arrange battery replacement.

If the problem persists, contact the Hoover customer service centre.

Hoover Spares and Consumables

Always use genuine HOOVER spares, available from local dealers or direct from HOOVER. Quote your model number when ordering.

Important: The battery is guaranteed for 6 months from purchase. After 6 months, an authorized HOOVER engineer can replace the battery at the customer's cost.

Your Guarantee

Guarantee conditions are defined by the Hoover representative in the country of sale. Details can be obtained from the dealer. Proof of purchase (bill of sale or receipt) is required for any claim.
