2. Getting Started

2.1 Charging

Please fully charge the battery before powering on the gimbal for the first time. Charging with USB-C cable, supports quick charge.

2.2 Adjust the gimbal to balancing position

The gimbal is folded by default. Please unlock all three axes and adjust the gimbal to the balancing position, then lock the three axes.

3. Mounting the Smartphone

Ensure you have completed all steps in "2. Getting Started" and the gimbal is adjusted to the balancing position. It is recommended to remove the smartphone case before mounting.

Example: Horizontal Mounting:

  1. Power off the gimbal or enter sleep mode, then rotate the smartphone holder to prepare for landscape shooting.
  2. Extend the smartphone holder, place your smartphone in the center.

Note: The gimbal must be off or in sleep mode before switching mounting direction.

4. Gimbal Balancing

Please balance the gimbal before powering it on. Power off or enter sleep mode before balancing.

Tutorial Videos

  1. ? Unlock the three axis locks, observe the tilt direction of the mobile phone.
  2. If the phone is tilted, its center of gravity is towards that end. ? Loosen the fixing knob, and ➡️ move the cross arm in the opposite direction, until the cross arm maintains horizontal balance.
  3. ? Tighten the fixing knob.

5. Operation

5.1 Power ON/ OFF

Before powering on, ensure the gimbal is balanced and all three axes are unlocked. If not all axes are unlocked, the gimbal will enter sleep mode for protection. Single tap the power button to wake up the gimbal after unlocking all axes. Long press the power button and release when you hear the beep sound to power on/off.

5.2 Follow Mode Introduction

  • PF (Pan Follow): Only the pan axis follows the movement of your hand.
  • PTF (Pan and Tilt Follow): Both pan and tilt axes follow your hand movement, but the roll axis does not.
  • FPV (Full Follow): All 3 axes (pan, tilt, and roll) follow your hand movement.
  • Lock: All 3 axes do not follow your hand movement; the gimbal keeps the camera direction fixed.
  • FFW (Flash Follow): All 3 axes follow your hand movement at high speed.

5.3 Button Operation

  • Power button: Long press: Power on/off. Single tap: Wake up. Double tap: Enter sleep mode.
  • Trigger button: Single tap: Face tracking. Double tap: Recenter. Triple tap: Enter/Exit selfie mode (Pan axis rotates 180°). Press and hold: Enter Lock mode (Release to exit). Function can be customized via App.
  • Shutter button*: Press halfway: Focus (Feiyu ON App). Single tap (fully): Start/Stop recording / Take photo. Long press (fully): Switch between video/photo mode (Feiyu ON App). *Requires smartphone connection.
  • L button: Single tap: Turn left continuously. Single tap again: Switch rotating speed (cycles through Slow/Med/Fast; default is Med). Active in auto rotation mode.
  • Mode button: Single tap: Switch among PF/PTF (Default)/FPV modes. Tap five times: Horizon calibration.
  • Joystick: Push: Control the movement of the tilt and pan axes.
  • Auto rotation button: Single tap: Enter auto rotation mode. Single tap again: (1) Exit auto rotation mode (when gimbal is not rotating). (2) Pause rotation (when gimbal is rotating).
  • R button: Single tap: Turn right continuously. Single tap again: Switch rotating speed (cycles through Slow/Med/Fast; default is Med). Active in auto rotation mode.
  • F1 button: Double tap: Enter/Exit album (in the Feiyu ON App).
  • F2 button: Double tap: Enter FFW mode.
  • FPV button: Single tap: Enter/Exit FPV mode.
  • Multifunction knob: Turn: (1) Control movement of roll, tilt, and pan axes. (2) Control electronic focus/zoom. Set current control option via knob function switching button.
  • Knob function switching button: Single tap: (1) Switch control object while controlling 3 axes (Tilt/Pan/Roll). (2) Switch between electronic focus and electronic zoom (Feiyu ON App). Long press: Cycle through control options for Multifunction knob (3 axes movement, electronic focus/zoom).

5.4 Indicator Lights

[3] Follow status indicator: TILT = Tilt axis, ROLL = Roll axis, PAN = Pan axis. The indicator being on means the corresponding axis follows user's hand movement.

Bluetooth Indicator Instructions:

  • Bluetooth status: Bluetooth connected, Bluetooth disconnected, Unpairing Bluetooth*.
  • Indicator: (Indicator Light Patterns)

*Clear Bluetooth connection: push the joystick down and hold it, then triple tap the power button.
