The Feiyu VB 4SE is a compact and foldable 3-axis handheld gimbal suitable for smartphones. It supports both landscape and portrait shooting modes and allows for control of phone shooting functions.

2. Quick Experience
Step 1: Unfold and fold

Step 2: Smartphone Installation
It is recommended to remove the smartphone case before installation.
Keep the logo of the smartphone holder facing upward. Install the smartphone when the gimbal is powered off. Ensure the smartphone is centered in the holder. If the smartphone is tilted, adjust it left or right to make it horizontal.

Step 3: Power ON/OFF/Standby
It is recommended to install your smartphone and balance the gimbal before powering it on.
Power ON/OFF: Long press the power button and release it when you hear the tone.
Enter standby mode: Double tap the power button to enter standby mode. Tap again to wake up.

3. Charging
Please fully charge the battery before powering on the gimbal for the first time. If the battery is too low, the red light will flash rapidly; please charge the gimbal immediately.
Connect the USB-C cable to charge. The indicator light is yellow while charging and turns green upon completion.
4. Landscape & Portrait Mode Switching
Double-click the 'M' button or manually rotate the smartphone holder to switch between landscape and portrait modes. Avoid anti-clockwise rotation in landscape mode and clockwise rotation in portrait mode.

5. Tripod
The tripod attaches to the bottom of the gimbal in a rotating manner. Choose whether to install it based on your shooting needs.

6. Connection
6.1 Bluetooth Connection
Turn on the gimbal.
Method One: Download and install the Feiyu ON App, run the app, and follow the prompts to connect via Bluetooth.
Method Two: Turn on your smartphone's Bluetooth and connect to the gimbal's Bluetooth in the phone's settings (e.g., FY_VB4_XX).
If Bluetooth is not found:
Method One: Close the Feiyu ON App from the background.
Method Two: Move the joystick downward and triple-tap the power button simultaneously to reset the gimbal's Bluetooth connection. The Bluetooth can only be reconnected after rebooting the gimbal.
6.2 App Connection
6.2.1 Download the Feiyu ON App

The app supports various shooting modes including Photo/Video, Free panorama, 360° panorama, Overlapping image, Ultra-wide angle, 180° panorama, Light rail mode, and Quick panorama. It also supports Static timelapse, Track timelapse, Dolly Zoom, Video editing, and Firmware Upgrade.
Scan the QR code or search for "Feiyu ON" in the App Store or Google Play. Requires iOS 12.0 or above, Android 8.0 or above.
6.2.2 Operation of App
Steps:
- Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone (Smartphone Settings > Bluetooth). Refer to chapter 7.1.
- Log in to the Feiyu ON App (Register if it's your first time).
- Install the smartphone on the gimbal and then turn on the gimbal.
- Search for the gimbal in the App and tap "FY_VB4_xx" to connect. A "connection succeed" message will appear after a short while.
- You can control the gimbal via the App, including remote control for movement, switching follow modes, and setting parameters.
If the connection times out or fails, check the Bluetooth connection or try exiting and logging back into the App.
7. Common Operation
The VB 4SE offers functions based on connection status:
- Basic: Functions available after the gimbal is balanced.
- Bluetooth: Additional functions available after connecting the smartphone via Bluetooth, in addition to basic functions.
- App: Further functions available via the Feiyu ON App, in addition to basic and Bluetooth functions.

8. Mode Introduction
Mode | Description |

Pan Mode | The roll and tilt directions are fixed. The smartphone moves according to the left-right movements of the user's hand. |
Lock Mode | The orientation of the camera is fixed. |
Follow Mode (Default mode) | The roll direction is fixed. The smartphone moves according to the left-right and up-down movements of the user's hand. |
All Follow Mode | The camera moves according to the user's hand movements in all axes. |
Reset | Returns the gimbal to Pan mode, with all three axes reset to their default positions. |
Manual Lock | Slide the tilt axis to a specific position for shooting. |
Landscape and Portrait Shot | Assists in shooting in landscape or portrait orientation. |
9. Operation Mode
The following operation modes are available for the VB 4SE. These apply to both portrait and landscape modes.
Standard mode (Default): Double-tap the trigger button to recenter the smartphone.
Underslung mode: Hold the gimbal upside down to enter underslung mode. This allows for easier capture of images from a lower position. The tripod can also be used for support.

Side grip mode: Rotate the gimbal 90 degrees to the right or left to make the smartphone horizontal to the ground.

10. Indicator
The gimbal features several indicators:
- Bluetooth indicator: Shows Bluetooth connection status.
- Status/Battery indicator: Displays battery level and charging status.
- Follow status indicators (P, T, R): Indicate the status of Pan, Tilt, and Roll axis following.

12. Gimbal Initialization
Initialize the gimbal when:
- The camera is not level.
- The gimbal has not been used for a long period of time.
- The ambient temperature changes abruptly.
Method:
Method 1: Initialize via the App (Reset gimbal parameters).
Method 2: Tap the power button 5 times.
Please refer to the form in chapter 10.1 on page 15 to check the indicator status.
Note: If initialization is unsuccessful for an extended period, restart the gimbal and try again.

Notice:
- Ensure the motor spinning is not blocked by external force when the product is powered on.

- Do not overcharge or overuse the battery, as this can damage the battery core.
