Fortin EVO-ONE THAR-GM6 Installation and Programming Guide
This document provides installation and programming instructions for the Fortin EVO-ONE and THAR-GM6 bypass module, designed for Chevrolet Equinox vehicles equipped with a Push-to-Start system.
Product Overview
The Fortin EVO-ONE is an all-in-one remote starter, alarm, immobilizer bypass, and data interface module. The THAR-GM6 is a specific harness for compatible vehicles.

Firmware:
The minimum required bypass firmware version is 70.[45]. To update firmware or options, use the Fortin FLASH LINK UPDATER or FLASH LINK MOBILE tool (sold separately).
Installation Requirements and Warnings
Mandatory Installation Components:
- The hood pin switch (included) must be installed. If the vehicle can be remote started with the hood open, function A11 must be set to OFF.
- A security sticker (included) must be installed.

- This module must be installed by a qualified technician. Incorrect connections can cause permanent damage to the vehicle.

Wiring Configuration
This section details the wiring connections required for automatic transmission vehicles. It involves connecting the THAR-GM6 harness to the vehicle's BCM (Body Control Module) and other relevant points.

- The main harness connects to the vehicle's BCM, typically located on the right side of the center console.

Programming Procedures
The following sections detail the procedures for programming the key bypass and remote starter functions.
Key Bypass Programming Procedure (1/2)
- Remove the battery from the OEM remote.
- Place the OEM remote in the front cup holder in the vehicle's center console.
- Insert the 6-Pin Main connector. The LEDs will alternate between BLUE, RED, YELLOW, and BLUE/RED flashes.
- Release the programming button when the YELLOW LED is solid. If the LED is not solid YELLOW, disconnect and restart from step 1.
- Insert the remaining required connectors.
- Press and release the programming button five times. The YELLOW LED will flash five times per second.
- Wait for the YELLOW LED to turn solid ON.
- Open the driver's door.
- Press the foot-brake pedal.
- Press the Push-to-Start button until the engine starts.
- Release the foot-brake pedal. The RED LED will turn ON, and the YELLOW LED will turn OFF.
Key Bypass Programming Procedure (2/2)
- Press the Push-to-Start button until the engine turns OFF.
- Close and open the driver's door.
- Press the foot-brake pedal.
- Press the Push-to-Start button until the engine starts.
- Release the foot-brake pedal. Observe LED status:
- The BLUE LED will turn ON.
- The BLUE LED will turn OFF.
- The RED LED will turn OFF.
- The YELLOW LED will flash rapidly.
- The BLUE LED will turn ON.
- The BLUE LED will flash rapidly.
- Press the Push-to-Start button until the engine turns OFF. The BLUE LED will flash slowly.
Key Bypass Programming Procedure (3/3)
- After DCryptor programming is completed, reconnect the 6-Pin (Main-Harness) or 4-pin (Data-Link) connector, followed by all other remaining connectors.
- Remote Starter / Alarm Verification Procedure: Test the remote starter by starting the vehicle remotely. The module is now programmed.
Remote Starter Functionality
To use the remote starter:
- Ensure all doors are closed.
- Press the Unlock button on the OEM remote three times (3x Lock to remote start).
- To enter the vehicle after remote start, have the Intelligent Access Key with you.
- The vehicle is now ready to be put into gear and driven.
Important Note: If the vehicle is not unlocked, the module will shut down the remote starter and the vehicle as soon as any door is opened.
Firmware and Guide Updates
Updated firmware and installation guides are regularly posted on the Fortin website (www.fortinbypass.com). It is recommended to update the module to the latest firmware and download the latest installation guide(s) before installation.
