M-Elec 1BOX C2030 High Powered LED Downlight
Product Overview and Technical Guide
Product Overview
The M-Elec 1BOX C2030 is a high-powered LED downlight offering versatility with six output options. It allows users to choose between three colour temperatures: Warm White (WW, 3000K), Neutral White (NW, 4000K), and White (W, 6000K). Additionally, it supports two power modes: 20W and 30W, selectable via a switch on the dimmable driver. The downlight features an 'Auto' mode where the colour output can be cycled through the three options by simply flicking the standard wall switch. A built-in memory function retains the last selected colour for subsequent uses.
The product comes with a 7-year warranty.

Installation Guide
Important: Must be installed by a licensed electrician.
- Disconnect mains power before proceeding.
- Remove the existing downlight and disconnect the old transformer, or mark and cut out a 185mm hole in the ceiling.
- Wire up the new LED power supply in accordance with the marked terminals.
- Set the switch on the driver to the desired 20W / 30W power mode.
- Set the switch on the side of the driver to the desired colour setting (Warm White, Neutral White, or White).
- Plug the high-powered downlight into the connector from the power supply.
- Test to ensure all downlights are producing the same output colour if in AUTO mode. If not, follow the "Master Reset" steps.
- Carefully bend spring clips upwards and install the new LED downlight into the ceiling cut-out.
[Diagram description: An illustration shows the LED Driver unit and the LED Downlight. The driver has connections for AC input (200-265V) and output to the downlight. It features a 'Power Mode Switch' (36W/46W) and a 'Colour Output Switch' with settings for NW (Neutral White) and AUTO. The downlight is shown with 'Spring Clips' for mounting into a 'Ceiling Cut-Out' of 185mm. A separate diagram shows the dimensions of the driver unit and the downlight, indicating spacing requirements.]

Driver Settings and Operation
The driver features a 'Driver Switch' with two main modes: MANUAL MODE and AUTO MODE.
Manual Mode
In Manual Mode, the colour output is fixed. The default setting is Neutral White (NW). To select a specific colour, set the 'Colour Output Switch' on the driver to one of the positions: WW (Warm White), NW (Neutral White), or W (White). Flicking the wall light switch ON/OFF will not change the downlight's output colour in this mode. Installation is complete.
Auto Mode
In Auto Mode, the downlight cycles through colours. To enable this, set the 'Colour Output Switch' on the driver to the 'AUTO' position. The downlight can then change colour by interacting with a normal wall light switch or an automation system.
- Using a Normal Wall Light Switch: Flick the switch from ON-OFF-ON within 1 second to change to the next colour.
- Using Push Button, Relay, or Automation System: The downlights will respond to signals from these systems.
Synchronization Check
After installation in AUTO mode, check if the downlights are synchronized (displaying the same colour). If they are not synchronized, follow the Master Reset procedure.
Master Reset Procedure
This procedure is used if downlights in AUTO mode are out of synchronization (displaying different colours).
- Start with the light switch OFF.
- Turn the light switch ON and wait for 8-10 seconds.
- Quickly turn the switch OFF and then ON again (within 1 second).
- All the lights should synchronize to Neutral White colour.
[Flowchart description: A flowchart illustrates the driver switch settings. It shows MANUAL MODE with options for WW, NW, W, and AUTO MODE with options for NW, AUTO. From AUTO MODE, it branches to interaction with a normal wall switch or automation system. A decision point asks "Are the downlights colours synchronised?". If YES, installation is complete. If NO, it leads to the MASTER RESET steps, which then synchronize lights to Neutral White.]
Additional Information and Safety Notes
Clearances
The following clearances are specified:
- HCB (Height Clearance to Building Element): Minimum distance between the top of the recessed luminaire and any building element above it, as specified by the manufacturer.
- MIC (Minimum Insulation Clearance): Minimum distance between the top of any building insulation and the building element above it, as specified by the manufacturer.
- SCB (Side Clearance to Building Element): Minimum distance between the side of the luminaire and any building element, as specified in AS/NZS 3000 or by the manufacturer.
- SCI (Side Clearance to Insulation): Minimum distance between the luminaire and any building insulation, as specified by the manufacturer.
For this luminaire, HCB = MIC = SCB = SCI = 0mm, meaning building insulation may abut the sides of the luminaire.
Type Y Attachments
If the external flexible cable or cord of this luminaire is damaged, it must be exclusively replaced by the manufacturer, their service agent, or a similarly qualified person to avoid a hazard.
Non-user replaceable light sources
The light source contained in this luminaire is not user-replaceable and must only be replaced by the manufacturer, their service agent, or a similarly qualified person.
Important Notes:
- MUST BE INSTALLED BY LICENSED ELECTRICIAN.
- Do not extend low voltage cables from the output of the power supply.
- All components must not be mechanically stressed.
- Be careful not to damage or destroy conductive paths on the circuit board.
- Follow all relevant electrical and safety standards (including AS3000).
- Correct electrical polarity must be observed; incorrect polarity may destroy the product and is not covered under warranty.
- Damage by corrosion will not be honoured as a material defect claim. Users are responsible for providing suitable protection against corrosive agents (e.g., moisture, condensation).
