This manual provides instructions for the Baby Trend Passport Carriage Travel System, including the EZ-Lift PLUS infant car seat.

The Baby Trend® warranty covers workmanship defects within 1 year of purchase. The warranty is voided by misuse, abuse, abnormal use, excessive wear and tear, improper assembly, negligence, environmental exposure, alteration, accident, or if the serial number is altered or removed. Any damage to property during installation is the sole responsibility of the end user.

Important Safety Warnings
- ⚠️ General Safety: Follow all instructions to ensure child safety. Failure to do so could result in serious injury or death. Always use the safety harness and ensure children are properly positioned. Never leave children unattended.
- ⚠️ Folding/Unfolding: Be careful to prevent finger entrapment. Also, take care to prevent damage to the stroller by removing all accessories (mobile phones, diaper bags, purses) before folding. Baby Trend® is not liable for damage if items are not removed.
- ⚠️ Wheels: Wheels can detach and cause tip-over. Pull on the wheel to ensure it is securely attached.
- ⚠️ Child Positioning: A child may slip into leg openings and strangle. NEVER use in full recline position unless the enclosure is raised to cover the front opening, as per instructions in section 25.
- Child Occupant Limits: This stroller is designed for one child only.

- Storage Basket: 5 pounds (2.27 kg)

- Parent Tray: 3 pounds (1.36 kg)
- Child Occupant: Not to exceed 50 lb (22.67 kg) or 42 inches (106.7 cm) tall.
- Total Weight (stroller + child + accessories): Do not exceed 60 lb (27.21 kg).
- Usage Restrictions:
- Always ensure the stroller is completely opened and locked before allowing a child near it.
- Always refer to the car seat manual for car seat weight limitations.
- NEVER use on stairways or escalators.
- NEVER use with roller skates, in-line skates, skateboards, or bicycles.
- NEVER allow the stroller to be used as a toy.
- NEVER run or jog with this stroller.
Assembly Instructions
Setting Up the Stroller Frame
1. Release the fold latch by pulling it outward [Diagram]. Unfold the stroller frame by pulling upward on the stroller handle until the frame locks [Diagram].
Rear Wheels Assembly
The rear wheels MUST be installed prior to use.
2. Remove the pin and one washer from both ends of the rear axle [Diagram]. Install the rear wheel with the auxiliary teeth inserting first [Diagram]. Get the cross bar through the rear wheel and insert the second washer [Diagram]. Place the pin horizontally into the hole of the axle bar and then rotate into a vertical position [Diagram].
3. Align the tabs on the cap with the holes on the wheels [Diagram]. Push the cap into the wheel to close the axle assembly. Press firmly to ensure the cap is completely seated [Diagram]. Repeat for the other side.
4. Place the rear legs over the axle with wheels and apply downward pressure on both sides. Ensure both sides lock into place [Diagram]. Pull on the front and rear wheels to ensure they are securely attached.
Canopy Installation
3. To install the canopy, slide the male ends of the canopy into the female slots on the stroller frame [Diagram]. To remove the canopy, press the release tab on the inside of the stroller frame [Diagram] and pull the canopy out [Diagram]. Repeat for the other side.
Pull the canopy edge forward or backward to open and close [Diagram]. Fold the canopy visor out for additional shade or fold inward when not in use [Diagram].
Parent Tray Installation
WARNING: Do not place hot liquids or more than 3 lb (1.36 kg) in the parent tray. Serious burns or unstable conditions can result.
WARNING: Care must be taken when folding the stroller to prevent damage. Ensure all accessories, mobile phones, diaper bags, or purses are removed before folding. Failure to remove items may result in damage to the stroller or items. Baby Trend® will not be liable or warrant any damage.
4. Before attaching the tray:
- Face the tray with the prominent arch side towards the canopy. Locate the three canopy straps and seat strap [Diagram].
- Flip the tray over with slots facing towards the seat and canopy [Diagram]. Thread the middle canopy strap through the slot, then insert the middle seat strap through the slot [Diagram].
- Insert the remaining straps into the tray slots [Diagram].
- Pull back each strap to catch the hole into each pertaining tray tab [Diagram].
- Flip the tray over and align the parent tray tabs to the inner tabs on both sides of the stroller. Press the tray down firmly until both tabs click into position [Diagram].
- Ensure all fabric panels are attached to their corresponding tabs [Diagram].
- To secure the canopy, hook elastic strap fasteners on each side of the stroller frame [Diagram].
Parent Tray Removal
Remove the elastic bands by reversing Step 3. Locate the parent tray tabs under the stroller frame, press them inwards, and lift the tray from the housing [Diagram].
Child Tray Installation
WARNING: The child's tray is not a restraint device; always secure your child with the seat harness. DO NOT lift the stroller by the child's tray. Use care when a child is in the stroller and securing the front tray. Do not place hot liquids or more than 3 pounds (1.36 kg) in the child tray, as this could cause serious burns or unstable conditions.
5. To attach the child tray: Push the tray downward into the connectors [Diagram]. Check that the tray is securely latched in place.
To access the child seat: Push one release and lift up the tray simultaneously [Diagram]. Either side of the child tray will lift and rotate out of the way to allow access to the front seat.
To remove the child tray: Push to release both ends and lift up the tray simultaneously [Diagram].
Storage Basket Access
6. Check Straps: Ensure all straps with snap closures are attached correctly. Always secure straps as shown in the diagrams [Diagram].
Basket Access / Flip-Up Leg Rest: Lift the leg rest to access the storage basket from the front side [Diagram]. Lift the leg rest from the edge, and always close the storage basket front access when not in use.
Safety Features
Rear Brakes
WARNING: Always set brakes when the stroller is not being pushed to prevent it from rolling away. Never leave the stroller unattended on a hill or incline, as it may slide down.
7. Press down the brake levers to engage and lift up on the brake levers to release. The stroller may require forward or rearward movement to engage the brake. Check that the brakes are properly applied [Diagram].
Securing the Child
WARNING: Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out. Always use the safety harness.
STRANGULATION HAZARD: A child can strangle in a loose safety harness. Never leave a child in the seat when the safety harness is loose or undone.
8. The 5-point harness shoulder straps have multiple positions. Select the position that places the shoulder strap level with, or below the top of the child's shoulder [Diagram].
To secure the child: Place the safety harness around the child's waist and over the shoulders. Place the crotch strap between the child's legs. Insert the male end of each shoulder/waist belt into the buckle on the crotch strap. Tighten all buckles for a proper fit [Diagram].
To adjust the harness to the next height level, pull the strap in a hoop form through the slot [Diagram]. To adjust to a lower height level, thread the clip back into the slot and pull it out through the desired lower level [Diagram].
RELEASE: Push the button on the center clasp to release the two harness buckles [Diagram].
Seatback Positioning
9. To recline the seat, press the clip ends together to release and pull down. To place the seat into an upright position, press the clip ends together while holding the end of the strap, and push the clip upwards to secure into the desired position [Diagram]. The upright position should be used only for a child that is at least 6 months old. Always re-adjust the safety harness, including the shoulder belts, when repositioning the seatback.
Infant Car Seat Installation
WARNING: Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out; always use the Infant Car Seat harness.
ATTENTION: Models CS01 EZ-Lift, CS02 EZ-Lift PLUS, and CS03 EZ-Lift PRO Infant Car Seats must attach to the stroller's front seat module. These models require the child tray and seat back to be adjusted to the most reclined position. Refer to step 9 for seat position adjustments.
10. Align the car seat module to the inner frame connectors. Carefully rest the car seat's lower rear against the angle point of the tray. Latch the module into the stroller frame. Press down firmly until it clicks. ALWAYS ensure the car seat is properly connected and locked onto the stroller before each use by lifting up on the car seat handle [Diagram].
Removing the Car Seat
Set the handle to the carry position [Diagram]. Squeeze the release handle located at the top-rear of the car seat and lift away from the stroller [Diagram].
Features
Convert to Carriage Mode
This involves using the carriage extension and potentially the mosquito net.
Carriage Extension
11. Press the buttons to raise the leg rest [Diagram]. Undo the buckle strap and unfold the flaps from under the leg rest [Diagram]. Use the hook and loop on the sides to assemble the carriage. Rehook the straps [Diagram].
Secure the straps and button closures to the stroller [Diagram]. Place the stroller seat into a full recline position [Diagram]. To put away the carriage extension, reverse the steps. Fold in the side flaps [Diagram] and tuck in the front fabric [Diagram], then buckle the strap.
IMPORTANT: Do not use the Mosquito Net with the car seat. Remove the Mosquito Net and Carriage Feature to fold the stroller.
Mosquito Net Installation
12. Install the mosquito net: Refer to step 11 and install the carriage. Unzip the canopy and pull out the net from the storage pocket [Diagram]. Stretch the net down to the unfolded flaps and zip together [Diagram]. Use the toggles on the left and right sides of the net to secure to the frame. Repeat for the other side [Diagram].
Storing the Mosquito Net
Undo the toggles, unzip from the flaps, and start to roll toward the canopy. Repeat for the other side [Diagram]. Locate the zipper attached to the canopy end and connect the zipper to the track [Diagram]. Continue to tuck the net into the pocket while zipping the pocket closed [Diagram]. Tuck and zip in sections [Diagram].
To remove the carriage, refer to step 11.
Folding and Unfolding
Folding the Stroller
WARNING: Be careful when folding and unfolding to prevent finger entrapment.
WARNING: Be careful when folding to prevent damage. Ensure all accessories, mobile phones, diaper bags, or purses are removed before folding. Failure to remove items may result in damage to the stroller or items. Baby Trend® will not be liable or warrant any damage.
CAUTION: Do not allow children near the stroller while folding.
13. Locate the strap in the seat pocket. Using one hand, pull the strap firmly upward to unlock the frame [Diagram]. Holding the strap, lift the stroller frame until it fully closes. Compress the stroller and secure with the fold latch [Diagram].
Always tuck the pull strap back into the seat fabric [Diagram]. You may remove the tray for a compact fold (Refer to Step 4).
Unfolding the Stroller
CAUTION: Do not allow children near the stroller while unfolding.
14. Unlock the fold latch [Diagram] and unfold the stroller frame by pulling upward on the stroller handle until the frame locks [Diagram]. Refer to the child tray instructions for removing or adjusting the tray as needed.
Maintenance
Securing the Carriage Fabric
15. If assembly is required: Always secure the straps and buckle underneath the footrest when the carriage is not in use [Diagram].
Securing the Seat Fabric
16. If assembly is required: Feed the rear recline clip and the seat fabric through the appropriate hook and loop slots on the stroller frame [Diagram]. Ensure the safety straps underneath the rear seat are secured through the appropriate slots [Diagram].
Wheel Release
17. Front Wheel Replacement: Locate the release pin on the front of the wheel hub. Push in the release pin and pull the wheel out [Diagram]. To re-install, assemble the front wheels by inserting each to the pin and pressing firmly to secure. Note: The release pin faces inward if the wheel is positioned as shown [Diagram].
Rear Wheel Replacement: Press the release pin and pull the wheel out [Diagram].
Care and Maintenance
Seat Pad: To clean the seat pad, use only mild household soap or detergent and warm water on a sponge or clean cloth.
Other: Regularly check your stroller for loose screws, worn parts, torn material, or stitching. Replace or repair parts as needed.
