Assemble MP54 (E2) and Put it on a Table
This section describes assembling the MP54 (E2) phone and placing it on a table. It involves connecting the handset to the phone and placing the phone on its stand.
(Optional) Mount MP54 (E2) on the Wall
Instructions and diagrams are provided for mounting the MP54 (E2) phone on a wall using an optional wallmount bracket.
Step 1: Mount the screws
Yealink provides wall mount drilling templates to mark screw positions on the wall. The placement depends on the standard used.
For American standards:
The wall mount bracket requires screws positioned with a width of 74mm and a height of 98mm. Two screws are needed.
Screw specifications: Maximum screw head diameter of 8mm (0.315"), minimum screw shaft diameter of 6.5mm (0.256"), and maximum screw length of 4.5mm (0.177").
For others:
The wall mount bracket requires screws positioned with a width of 154mm and a height of 72.5mm. Three screws are needed.

Step 2: Attach the wall mount bracket
This step details how to attach the wall mount bracket to the phone. Diagrams show the bracket being secured to the back of the phone.
Step 3: Adjust the hookswitch tab
Instructions are provided for adjusting the hookswitch tab on the handset cradle. This adjustment is typically made to ensure proper phone operation, especially when wall-mounted.
Step 4: Mount the IP phone to the wall
This step shows the final mounting of the IP phone onto the wall using the previously attached bracket.
Connection
The MP54 (E2) phone can be connected using different power and network options.
PC Connection (Optional)
A dedicated port allows for a PC connection, enabling the phone to act as a network switch for the PC.
Power Options:
AC Power Option:
Connect the provided DC 5V/2A power adapter to the phone's power port. The phone can then be connected to the Internet via a router or switch.
PoE (Power over Ethernet) Option:
Connect the phone to an IEEE 802.3af compliant PoE Hub/Switch using an Ethernet cable. This provides both power and network connectivity.
In both connection scenarios, the phone is linked to the Internet, and an optional PC can be connected to the phone's PC port.
