Assembling Your Phone

1. Connect Cables

Option A: AC Power Option

Connect the phone to a PC and a power outlet using the power adapter (DC 5V/2A).

Option B: PoE (Power over Ethernet) Option

Connect the phone to a PC and a PoE-enabled network switch or hub (IEEE 802.3af compliant).

2. Attach the Stand

Desk Mount Method: Diagrams show how to attach the stand to the phone for desk placement, allowing for adjustable viewing angles (e.g., 40°, 45°).

Wall Mount Method: Diagrams show how to attach the phone to a wall using the provided bracket.

Hardware Component Instructions

The phone features the following components:

  • Power LED Indicator: Located on the top of the phone.
  • Line Keys: Programmable keys on the right side of the screen for managing calls.
  • Soft Keys: Context-sensitive keys below the screen for various functions.
  • Navigation Keys: Up, Down, Left, Right, and OK buttons for menu navigation.
  • Mute Key: Silences the microphone.
  • Headset Key: Activates/deactivates headset mode.
  • Transfer Key: For transferring calls.
  • Redial Key: For redialing the last number.
  • Speakerphone Key: Activates/deactivates speakerphone.
  • Volume Key: Adjusts the audio volume.
  • Keypad: Standard numeric keypad (0-9, *, #) and SEND/END keys.
  • Speaker: Located at the bottom front of the phone.
  • Reversible Tab: Used for adjusting the stand.
  • USB 2.0 Type-A port: Located on the side, used for DC 5V/0.5A power input.

Safety Instructions

Save these instructions. Read these safety instructions before use! The following basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce risk of fire, electrical shock, and other personal injury.

General Requirements

  • Before installing and using the device, read the safety instructions carefully and observe the situation during operation.
  • Keep the device dry and clean during storage, transportation, and operation.
  • Avoid collision and crash of the device during storage, transportation, and operation.
  • Do not attempt to dismantle the device yourself. Contact the appointed maintenance center for repair if any discrepancy occurs.
  • Without prior written consent, no organization or individual is permitted to make any change to the structure or the safety design of the device. Yealink is under no circumstance liable to consequences or legal issues caused by such changes.
  • Refer to relevant laws and statutes while using the device. Respect the legal rights of others.

Environmental Requirements

  • Place the device in a well-ventilated place. Do not expose the device to direct sunlight.
  • Keep the device dry and free of dusts.
  • Place the device on a stable and level platform.
  • Do not place heavy objects on the device to prevent damage and deformation.
  • Keep at least 10 cm between the device and the closest object for heat dissipation.
  • Do not place the device on or near any inflammable or fire-vulnerable object, such as rubber-made materials.
  • Keep the device away from any heat source or bare fire, such as a candle or an electric heater.
  • Keep the device away from any household appliance with strong magnetic field or electromagnetic field, such as a microwave oven or a refrigerator.

Operating Requirements

  • Do not let a child operate the device without guidance.
  • Do not let a child play with the device or any accessory in case of accidental swallowing.
  • Use only accessories provided or authorized by the manufacturer.
  • The power supply of the device shall meet the requirements of the input voltage of the device. Use only the provided surge protection power socket.
  • Ensure hands are completely dry before plugging or unplugging any cable.
  • Do not spill liquid of any kind on the product or use the equipment near water (e.g., bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, wet basement, swimming pool).
  • Do not tread on, pull, or over-bend any cable to prevent malfunction.
  • During a thunderstorm, stop using the device and disconnect it from the power supply. Unplug the power plug and the ADSL twisted pair (radio frequency cable) to avoid lightning strike.
  • If the device is left unused for a long time, disconnect it from the power supply and unplug the power plug.
  • If smoke, abnormal noise, or smell is emitted from the device, disconnect the power supply and unplug the power plug immediately. Contact the specified maintenance center for repair.
  • Do not insert any object into equipment slots that is not part of the product or auxiliary product.
  • Before connecting a cable, connect the grounding cable first. Do not disconnect the grounding cable until all other cables are disconnected.

Cleaning Requirements

  • Before cleaning, stop using the device and disconnect it from the power supply.
  • Use a piece of soft, dry, and anti-static cloth to clean the device.
  • Keep the power plug clean and dry. A dirty or wet power plug may lead to electric shock or other perils.

Environmental Recycling

Never dispose of the device with domestic waste. Ask your Town Council about environmentally friendly disposal. Cardboard boxes, plastic packaging, and player components may be recycled according to prevailing regulations.

Always adhere to prevailing regulations. Failure to do so may result in fines or prosecution. The crossed-out garbage can symbol [recycling symbol] on the device indicates it should be taken to a special waste disposal center at the end of its useful life and treated separately from general urban waste.

Troubleshooting

  • Unit cannot supply power to Yealink device / Bad connection with the plug: Clean the plug with a dry cloth. Connect to another wall outlet.
  • Usage environment is out of operating temperature range: Use the device within the operating temperature range.
  • Cable between unit and Yealink device is connected incorrectly: Connect the cable correctly.
  • Cannot connect the cable properly: You may have connected a wrong Yealink device. Use the correct power supply.
  • Port has dust: Clean the port.
