It is recommended to use accessories provided or approved by Yealink. Unapproved third-party accessories may result in reduced performance.
Assembling Your Phone
Follow these steps to assemble your phone:
1. Attach the stand:
The phone can be assembled with its stand to place it on a desk. The stand attaches to the back of the phone, allowing for adjustable viewing angles.
2. Optional: Attach the wall mount bracket:
The phone can also be mounted on a wall using the optional wallmount bracket. The reversible tab on the handset cradle allows the handset to stay on-hook when the phone is mounted vertically.
Connecting Cables
The phone can be powered via AC adapter or Power over Ethernet (PoE).
A. AC Power Option:
Connect the included power adapter (DC 5V/2A) to the phone and a power outlet. A PC can be connected to the phone via an Ethernet cable for data transfer.
B. PoE (Power over Ethernet) Option:
Connect the phone to a PoE-compliant network switch or hub using an Ethernet cable. This method provides both power and network connectivity simultaneously. A PC can also be connected to the phone.
Note: Device Mode is coming soon.
Hardware Component Instructions
The Yealink MP56 E2 phone features several hardware components:
- 1. Reversible Tab: Secures the handset on the cradle.
- 2. Speaker: For audio output.
- 3. Transfer Key: Used to transfer calls.
- 4. Hold Key: Used to place calls on hold.
- 5. Redial Key: Redials the last dialed number.
- 6. Volume Key: Adjusts the audio volume.
- 7. Power LED Indicator: Shows the power status of the device.
- 8. Touch Screen: The primary interface for interacting with the phone.
- 9. Keypad: For dialing numbers and inputting information.
- 10. Headset Key: For connecting and managing headset calls.
- 11. Mute Key: Mutes or unmutes the microphone.
- 12. Teams Key: Dedicated key for Microsoft Teams functions.
- 13. Speakerphone Key: Activates the speakerphone function.
- 14. USB 2.0 Type-A port (DC 5 V/0.5 A): For connecting USB devices.

Regulatory Notices and Safety Instructions
Operating Ambient Temperatures: The phone operates between +14 to 113°F (-10 to +45°C) with 5% to 90% relative humidity (non-condensing). Storage temperature is -22 to +158°F (-30 to +70°C).
General Safety: Always follow basic precautions to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, and injury. Keep the device dry, clean, and avoid collisions. Do not attempt to dismantle the device yourself. Refer to applicable laws and statutes when using the device.
Environmental Requirements: Place the device in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight, dust, heat sources, and strong magnetic fields. Ensure proper heat dissipation by maintaining at least 10 cm distance from surrounding objects.
