Operating and Installation Instructions
Cautions
- Please insert the micro SD card in the right direction to avoid damage to the card or the device. If the device shows an error message, please format the micro SD card from the device menu. Please reset the device or change the micro SD card if a similar error continues. Note: All files will be deleted when formatting the micro SD card or during firmware update; please back up important files prior to that. When the reset function is selected, the device will return to default settings.
- Blaupunkt does not warrant the performance of the device if used with a Micro SD card other than a Blaupunkt Micro SD card.
- New Micro SD cards must be formatted for first use.
- Ensure the bracket is installed correctly and firmly on the windscreen to avoid damage to the device and for a better recording angle.
- Please do not use the product in a wet environment as the device is not waterproofed/water-resistant.
- Please do not record or take pictures facing sunlight.
- To obtain a clear image, please clean the windscreen and device lens regularly. Avoid using the device in a dusty environment.
- Handle the device with care and avoid direct impact on the device. Avoid using the device in a high electromagnetic environment.
- Please operate the product within the temperature range of -10°C to 65°C. Continuous exposure to sunlight, especially when locked in a cabin where the temperature exceeds 65°C, may result in device malfunction, color change, housing, and image distortion.

- Errors may occur depending on the surrounding environment and the voltage of the car.
- Blaupunkt is not liable/responsible for non-recorded events, missing files, etc.
- If the car battery voltage is less than the setting value of the cut-off voltage, the device will stop recording even in park recording mode.
- Normal recording (60%)
- Emergency recording (40%)
- Once the folder is fully occupied, it will be overwritten.
- It is recommended to format the memory card every 6 months to maintain optimal SD Card performance.

Functions - DVR
Pairing DVR with Smartphone
The effective distance range between the DVR and smartphone is approximately 10 meters (33ft) in an open field environment.
Wireless Connection (Wi-Fi)
Enable Wi-Fi & Location on your Smartphone before beginning. Download the "Blaupunkt DVR Dashcam" app from the App Store (iOS) or Play Store (Android).
Ensure the DVR BP 13.0A is turned on. Connect to the Wi-Fi network named "BP130A" using the default password "12345678" for the first-time connection. After connecting, press the centered blue button to enter the control view. Repeat these wireless connection steps whenever the smartphone is disconnected.
Change Camera View
Press the "☐" button to cycle through the three camera views: Front, Rear, and Interior.
Download Video or Photo
Navigate to the app's recording screen and select either the Video or Photo gallery. Press and hold the desired video/photo to select it, then press the "?" icon to download the file.
Record Video or Take Photos via App
- Press the "Record" button to stop the current recording or start a new one.
- Press the "Mode" button to switch between Video Mode and Photo Mode.
- Press the "?" button to capture a photo.
Parking Monitoring
Provides around-the-clock protection and surveillance when the ignition switch is turned off and the car is parked. Park Monitoring recording is triggered by the G-sensor. To configure, go to "?" Settings, select Parking Monitor, and choose the preferred sensitivity level (Low / Middle / High). Press "?" Back to exit the settings menu.
Timelapse
Records long-duration videos by compiling a series of single pictures taken over a period of time.
Emergency Recording
- An audio alert will sound when emergency recording starts.
- The device will begin saving emergency recordings when an impact is detected.
Format SD Card
Warning: All data will be deleted. Back up data to prevent unwanted files from being deleted. Navigate to Settings and select "Format Memory Card".
