Operating and Installation Instructions
CAUTIONS
- Please insert the micro SD card in the right direction to avoid damage to the card or the device. If the device shows an error message, please format the micro SD card from the device menu.
- Please reset the device or change the micro SD card if similar errors continue.
- Note: All files will be deleted when formatting the micro SD card or updating the firmware. Please back up important files prior to these actions.
- When the reset function is selected, the device will return to default settings.
- Blaupunkt does not warrant the performance of the device if used with a Micro SD card other than a Blaupunkt Micro SD card.
- A new Micro SD card must be formatted for first use.
- Ensure the bracket is installed correctly and firmly on the windscreen to avoid damage to the device and for a better recording angle.
- Please do not use the product in a wet environment as the device is not waterproofed/water resistant.
- Please do not record or take pictures facing the sunlight.
- To obtain a clear image, please clean the windscreen and the device lens regularly. Avoid using the device in dusty environments.
- Handle the device with care and avoid direct impact on it. Avoid using the device in high electromagnetic environments.
- Please operate the product within the temperature range of -20°C to 80°C. Continuous exposure to sunlight, especially when locked in a cabin where the temperature exceeds 80°C, may result in device malfunction, color change, housing, and image distortion.

- If the car battery voltage is lesser than the setting value of cut-off voltage, the device will stop recording even in park recording mode.

FUNCTION
System Setup
Tap the left side of the LCD screen to enter the MENU while recording. Tapping the right side of the screen will enter different Video modes instead of the MENU.

Smartphone Pairing Guide
Android Smartphone Pairing (supports Android 8.0 & above):
- Download the "Blaupunkt DVR BP9" app from Google Play.
- Ensure the distance between the DVR and the smartphone is approximately 10 meters in an open field environment.
- Install the Wireless Dongle on the DVR USB port.
- Ensure the DVR is connected to the power source and is turned ON.
- Ensure the smartphone Location setting is ON and Mobile Data setting is OFF.
- Ensure the smartphone WiFi setting is ON.
- Turn on DVR WiFi.
- Open the "Blaupunkt DVR BP9" App, then tap on START to connect.
- Go to smartphone Wi-Fi settings to search and connect to DVR Wi-Fi ('Blaupunkt_...'). Enter '00000000' if a password is requested.
- After selecting "START", options like Live View, VOD View, Download View, and Configuration will appear.
iOS Smartphone Pairing (supports iOS 10.0.2 & above):
- Download the "Blaupunkt DVR BP9" app from the App Store.
- Ensure the distance between the DVR and the smartphone is approximately 10 meters in an open field environment.
- Install the Wireless Dongle on the DVR USB port.
- Ensure the DVR is connected to the power source and is turned ON.
- Ensure the smartphone WiFi setting is ON.
- Turn on DVR WiFi.
- Open the "Blaupunkt DVR BP9" App, then tap on START to connect.
- Go to smartphone Wi-Fi settings to search and connect to DVR Wi-Fi ('Blaupunkt_...'). Enter '00000000' if a password is requested.
- After successful pairing, enter the mobile app. At the Main Menu, select "START".
- Options will appear: Live View, VOD View, Download View, Configuration.
Important Notice: For security, it is advisable to change the WLAN security password after successful connection.
Function Views
- LIVE VIEW: Shows real-time video. Options include changing camera view (Front/Rear), starting/stopping recording, returning to MENU, and viewing recorded video.
- VOD VIEW (Playback List): Lists Normal Video, Event/Emergency, and Park Monitoring playlists. Options include returning to MENU, playing recordings, and downloading recordings.
- DOWNLOAD VIEW: Lists Normal Video, Event/Emergency, and Park Monitoring playlists. Options include file sharing (Android), file separation (Android/iOS), returning to MENU, playing recordings, and deleting downloaded files.

Other Functions:
- Reset: All settings will be reset to default.
- Format SD card: All data will be deleted after formatting.
- WLAN security: Change wireless connection password. The device will reset to default settings when resetting the password. Default password: 00000000.

Blaupunkt DVR BP9.1A PC Viewer
Download the PC Viewer from www.blaupunkt.com/ase to manage your recordings.
The PC Viewer allows you to:
- Extract files to play front/rear video files in a normal video player.
- View Video & Files.
- View Video & Map.
- Perform Folder Search.
- Identify File Type (N: Normal, E: Event, P: Parking).
Note: Older files will be overwritten when the card memory is full and new storage space is required. Backup recordings regularly to prevent important files from being overwritten.
Retrieved File:
- Select the "E" (Event File) icon from "FILE TYPE".
- "Double Click" on the preferred file to playback, then "Double Click" again on the front or rear video.
- Select the "[download icon]" icon to extract preferred files, then choose preferred saving folders to download the recordings.
- Refer to the preferred folders to playback the downloaded recordings.
