Cautions
- Please insert the micro SD card in the right direction to avoid damage to the card or the device. If the device shows an error message, please format the micro SD card from the device menu. Please reset the device or change the micro SD card if similar errors continue.
- Note: All files will be deleted when formatting the micro SD card or during firmware update. Please back up important files prior to these actions.
- When the reset function is selected, the device will return to default settings.
- Blaupunkt does not warrant the performance of the device if used with Micro SD cards other than Blaupunkt Micro SD cards.
- New Micro SD cards must be formatted for first use. Micro SD cards must be formatted once every 6 months.
- Ensure the bracket is installed correctly and firmly on the windscreen to avoid damage to the device and for a better recording angle.
- Please do not use the product under wet environments as the device is not waterproof or water-resistant.
- Please do not record or take pictures facing direct sunlight.
- To obtain a clear image, please clean the windscreen and the device lens regularly. Avoid using the device in dusty environments.
- Handle the device with care and avoid direct impact on the device. Avoid using the device in high electromagnetic environments.
- Please operate the product within the temperature range of -20°C to 80°C. Continuous exposure to sunlight, especially when locked in a cabin where the temperature exceeds 80°C, may result in device malfunction, color change, housing, and image distortion.

- If the car battery voltage is lesser than the setting value of the cut-off voltage, the device will stop recording even in park recording mode.
Structure
The Blaupunkt BP 7.1 features a main front unit and a separate rear camera.
Front DVR Unit Components:
- 1. Bracket slot: For attaching the mounting bracket.
- 2. Operation indicator light: Flashes during normal/park mode; Off during shock/SOS mode; Blinks during motion/shock detection in park mode.
- 3. Speaker: For audio output.
- 4. Lens: Captures the front view.
- 5. Rear DVR cable input: Port for connecting the rear camera.
- 6. Rear DVR lens: The lens of the separate rear camera.
- 7. GPS indicator light: Lights up in blue when GPS is connected; Light is off in parking mode.
- 8. PWR (Power) indicator light: Lights up in green during normal recording mode; Light is off during park mode.
- 9. Event indicator light: Lights up in red during shock/SOS mode; Flashes when SD card reading fails; Light is off during park mode.
- 10. Front DVR 3.5" LCD touch screen: For viewing and control.
- 11. 12-24V D power supply: Input for vehicle power.

Functions
Core Functions
- Format-free: Engineered with TAT technology, the device arranges or overwrites saved data into folders automatically.
- Low Voltage Cut-off: Functions only after the vehicle ignition is turned off to prevent vehicle battery drainage. Adjustable via Environment Settings > Recording Settings > Voltage.
- Automatic High Temperature Cut-off: Functions only after the vehicle ignition is turned off. The device automatically shuts down when high temperatures are detected.
- Offline ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance System): Supports LDWS (Lane Departure Warning System) and FVSA (Front Vehicle Start Alert). Optional GPS enhances accuracy and driving speed for PC viewer. Adjustable via Environment Settings > ADAS Settings.
- Super Capacitor: Ensures video files are saved even in the event of sudden power cut-off.
- Park Mode (Park Monitoring): Switch between Motion or Time-lapse recording modes via Environment Setting > Recording Settings > Parking Mode.
- Smart Motion (12fps): Begins recording 30 seconds after the vehicle ignition is turned off. Recording starts upon detecting impact or motion. Adjust sensitivity via Environment Settings > Recording Settings > Motion Intensity.
- Time-lapse (2fps): Records at 2 frames per second instead of the standard 12fps (Front & Rear DVR). Adjust sensitivity via Environment Settings > Recording Settings > Motion Intensity.
- Event Mode: Begins saving recording when assigned sensitivity intensity is detected. Saves 10 seconds of video before and after detection to the Event file. Adjust sensitivity via Environment Settings > Recording Settings > Event Intensity.
- SOS (Manual Mode): When the SOS button is pressed, a 10-second video file before and after the press is saved to the Event file.
- PC Viewer: View video playback using the BP7.1 PC Viewer. Download the viewer (Windows only) from www.blaupunkt.com/ase.

PC Viewer Description
The Blaupunkt DVR BP 7.1 PC Viewer allows for video playback and management on a computer. The software will automatically detect the micro SD card when inserted into the computer.
Key functionalities include:
- Extracting front/rear video files to play in a normal video player.
- Adjusting DVR settings.
- Capturing snapshots of recordings.
Note: Older files will be overwritten when the memory card is full and requires new storage space. Files are overwritten according to the file arrangement: Continuous / Event / Park / Manual (SOS). It is recommended to back up recordings regularly to prevent important files from being overwritten.
Installation
Safety Note
- Assign a mounting location that will not obstruct the driver in any circumstances, or cause injuries to drivers and passengers in case of an emergency brake or accident.
- Ensure all wires are connected properly and that the device is functioning well before installing it on the windscreen.
- Any unauthorized installation and modification may cause malfunction of the device and void the product's warranty. Always use the parts included with the device only.
- Contact a Blaupunkt dealer or the vehicle's manufacturer if the information provided here does not fit your specific requirement.
Power Cable Hardwiring
The device can be hardwired to the vehicle's power system for continuous operation.
- Use the provided hardwire power cable.
- BATT (+): Connect the wire cable to the permanent power fuse box (e.g., Hazard light, dome light, tail light fuse).
- Acc (+): Connect the wire cable to the fuse that receives power through ignition (e.g., Cig lighter, audio system fuse).
- GND: Connect the cable to the vehicle chassis or vehicle bolts.
