Cautions
- Please insert the micro SD card in the right direction to avoid damage to the card or the device. If the device shows an error message, please format the micro SD card from the device menu. Please reset the device or change the micro SD card if similar errors continue. Note: All files will be deleted when formatting the micro SD card or performing a firmware update; please back up important files prior to these actions. When the reset function is selected, the device will return to default settings.
- Blaupunkt does not warrant the performance of the device if used with a Micro SD card other than a Blaupunkt Micro SD card.
- A new Micro SD card must be formatted for first use.
- Ensure the bracket is installed correctly and firmly on the windscreen to avoid damage to the device and for a better recording angle.
- Please do not use the product in a wet environment as the device is not waterproof or water-resistant.
- Please do not record or take pictures facing direct sunlight.
- To obtain a clear image, please clean the windscreen and the device lens regularly. Avoid using the device in dusty environments.
- Handle the device with care and avoid direct impact on the device. Avoid using the device in high electromagnetic environments.
- Please operate the product within the temperature range of -20°C to 80°C. Continuous exposure to sunlight, especially when locked in a cabin where the temperature exceeds 80°C, may result in device malfunction, colour change, housing damage, and image distortion.

- Blaupunkt is not liable or responsible for non-recorded events, missing files, etc.
- If the car battery voltage is less than the set value of the cut-off voltage, the device will stop recording even in park recording mode.
Device Structure
The Blaupunkt BP 2.2A Digital Video Recorder consists of the following components:
- 1. 3M Bracket: For mounting the device on the windscreen.
- 2. Lens: Captures video footage.
- 3. Indicator Light:
- Red light: Indicates the device is turning on.
- Blue light: Blinking when video is recording; Static light when no video is recorded.
- 4. Power Button:
- Press for emergency video recording.
- Press and hold for 3 seconds to turn off the DVR.
- 5. Photo Capture Button:
- Press to capture an image.
- Press and hold for 5 seconds to reset default settings.
- 6. Microphone: Records audio.
- 7. MicroSD Card Slot: For inserting the memory card.
- 8. Type-C USB power supply: For connecting power.

Functions and Operation
Pairing DVR with Smartphone
The Blaupunkt BP 2.2A can be paired with a smartphone for remote control and access. The effective wireless range between the DVR and smartphone is approximately 10 meters (33ft) in an open field environment.
Wireless Connection (Wi-Fi)
To establish a wireless connection:
- Enable Wi-Fi & Location services on your smartphone. Refer to your smartphone's manual for instructions.
- Download the "Blaupunkt DVR Dashcam" app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
- Ensure the BP 2.2A is activated.
- Connect your smartphone to the BP 2.2A's Wi-Fi network. Once connected, press the centered blue button within the app to enter the control view.
Repeat these wireless connection steps whenever the smartphone is disconnected from the DVR.
Recording Video or Taking Photos in App
- Press the [Record] button (?) to start or stop recording.
- Press the [Take Photo] button (?) to capture a still image.
Download Video or Photo
- Navigate to the app's recording screen to select either the Video or Photo gallery.
- Press and hold your preferred video or photo to select it, then press the [Download] icon (⬇️) to download the file to your smartphone.
Emergency Recording
- An audio alert will sound when emergency recording starts.
- The device automatically begins saving emergency recordings when an impact is detected.
Parking Monitoring
This feature provides around-the-clock protection and surveillance when the ignition switch is turned off and the car is parked. Park Monitoring recording is triggered by the G-sensor.
- To configure: Go to ⚙️ Settings, choose Parking Monitor, and select the preferred mode (Low / Middle / High). Press ◀️ Back to exit the setting menu.
Timelapse
Timelapse mode records long-duration videos by compiling a series of single pictures over a period of time. This mode is integrated with the parking mode; however, the Park Monitoring Mode will turn off when Timelapse mode is active.
- To configure: Go to ⚙️ Settings, choose Time-lapse, and select the preferred duration (15Min / 12Hr / 24Hr / 48Hr). Press ◀️ Back to exit the setting menu.
Format SD Card
Formatting the SD card will delete all data. Ensure you back up important files beforehand to prevent unwanted data loss.
- To format: Go to Settings and select Format Memory Card.
Super Capacity Technology
This technology ensures that video files are saved even in the event of a sudden power cut-off, protecting your recordings.
