This document provides technical specifications and installation guidelines for the VIMAR SMART AUTOMATION BY-ME PLUS XT control devices, including models 32021.x, 32023.x, 32024.x, and 32044.x.
Product Overview
The BY-ME PLUS XT control devices are designed for home automation systems, offering various configurations for push buttons, rocker buttons, and LED indicators. They are compatible with the VIMAR XT mounting frame system.
- 32021.x: XT control device with 2 push buttons (configurable as 1 rocker button), LED with status function, and visible in darkness with brightness control. Features a central LED matrix for custom symbols or animation. Requires 1 front module.
- 32023.x: XT control device with 2 push buttons (configurable as 1 rocker button), proximity function, LED matrix for status or scenario animation, and visible in darkness with brightness control. Features a central LED matrix for custom symbols or animation. Requires 1 front module.
- 32024.x: XT control device with 4 push buttons, proximity function, LED with status function, and visible in darkness with brightness control. Requires 1 front module.
- 32044.x: XT control device with 4 push buttons with backlighting for CLIMATE CONTROL symbols, visible in darkness with brightness control. Requires 1 front module.
Characteristics
- Power Supply: Supplied with electrified XT mounting frame (art. 32602.x, 32603.x, 32604.x, 32613.x or 32614.x) and related node (art. 32001).
- Maximum Absorption from BUS: 7.5 mA for 32021.x; 12.5 mA for 32023.x, 32024.x, 32044.x.
- Features: Red LED, configuration/reset push button, operating temperature -5 °C to +45 °C (indoor use). Occupies 1 front module (30.5 mm). Standby brightness levels are selectable. Rear connection to electrified mounting frame. Protection degree: IP20. Push button and rocker switch units have a group depth of 1.

Installation Rules
- Installation must be performed by qualified personnel according to current regulations for electrical equipment in the country of installation.
- The device must be installed on electrified XT mounting frames:
- 2 modules (art. 32602.x) for 2-module mounting boxes.
- 3 modules (art. 32603.x and 32613.x) for 3-module rectangular mounting boxes.
- 4 modules (art. 32604.x and 32614.x) for 4-module rectangular mounting boxes.
- For optimal operation, limit the use of proximity sensors to one active sensor per lighting device.
- Avoid installing two or more controls with active proximity sensors facing each other if the distance is less than 4 meters. [Diagram showing two devices facing each other with a distance indicator '< 4 m']
- Avoid installing a button with an active proximity sensor directly in front of a device with an infrared receiver to prevent interference.
- Exercise caution to avoid soiling or scratching the proximity sensor lens during button removal, label insertion, and button attachment.

- LV Directive, EMC directive, RoHS directive.
- Standards: IEC 60669-2-1, EN 50491-2, EN IEC 63044, EN IEC 63000.
- REACH (EU) Regulation no. 1907/2006 - Art.33: The product may contain traces of lead.
