3. Dimensions
Diagram description: A diagram illustrating the physical dimensions of the pressure gauge. It shows a cylindrical unit with a front display and a threaded connection at the base. Key dimensions indicated are an approximate diameter of 80mm for the gauge body, a height of approximately 30mm for the gauge body, and a standard connection thread size of M20×1.5.
4. Installation and Use
Installation:
- Ensure the pressure gauge is suitable for the system's pressure range and medium.
- Clean the connection port before installation.
- Screw the gauge into the system's pressure port using the M20×1.5 thread. Use a wrench on the hexagonal part of the fitting, not the gauge body.
- Ensure a leak-free seal.
Connection Diagram Description: A schematic showing the pressure gauge's threaded port connected to a pipe fitting. Arrows indicate the direction of pressure flow into the gauge.
5. Operation Instructions
The LCD screen shows the current pressure reading and the selected unit.
Buttons:
- : Powers the device on/off.
- : Selects pressure units.
- : Sets the current reading to zero.
6. Maintenance
Cleaning: Clean the exterior of the gauge with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners.
Battery Replacement: When the battery indicator [BAT] appears on the screen, replace the batteries with two new AAA alkaline batteries. Ensure correct polarity.
Calibration: For critical applications, recalibration by a qualified technician is recommended annually or as per industry standards.
7. Troubleshooting
Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
---|---|---|
No display | Batteries are depleted or incorrectly installed | Replace batteries or check polarity. |
Reading is zero at pressure | Gauge is damaged or incorrectly installed | Check installation, ensure no leaks. Contact manufacturer if damaged. |
Reading is unstable | System vibration or pressure fluctuations | Install gauge in a stable environment, use damping mechanisms if needed. |
Incorrect unit displayed | Unit selection button pressed | Press the | button to select the desired unit.
Gauge shows error code | Internal fault | Refer to error code list (if provided) or contact manufacturer. |
8. Safety Precautions
- Do not exceed the maximum rated pressure.
- Ensure the medium is compatible with the gauge materials.
- Avoid exposing the gauge to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
- Handle the gauge with care to avoid physical damage.
- Use appropriate tools for installation to prevent damage to the connection threads.
- Ensure batteries are disposed of properly according to local regulations.
